Outstanding, creative food and great service. My family, including a seven year old and an eight year old, all had a much better than average experience for what I thought was a very reasonable price.

Super empty late on a Monday night so ordered pick up to go since I was in a hotel. Very friendly wait staff and it looked clean and well kept. For me, the bibimbab could have had more vegetables and the gochujang sauce was a little too sweet for me. The banchan(sides) were in very small containers but I fortunately ordered extra. Even then, it was just ok, (kimchi was good)I might try the sushi here if I come back. The free miso soup that came with my takeout was very good. It seems they don't take orders over the phone so you need to order online for pick up or delivery.

Nice cozy Japanese place. Quick, yummy and with happy hour menu! Service was great! The lady was very attentive.

We decided on sushi for lunch and this popped up as the closest place with greet reviews The restaurant is in a strip mall and looks pretty unassuming inside. More like a breakfast place or diner but don't let that distract you from the food. The service was very friendly and they were very nice with great pace. I ordered a spicy tuna roll and seaweed salad. The rolls were a little too big so eat each one as a roll but very tasty with fresh ingredients and the right amount of heat. Seaweed salad was delicious and one of the best I have had! Definitely impressed with this place!

Great service! Food is hot and fresh. Laid back ambiance. The restaurant is also clean!

What I had to eat because I never got my order.

I placed an order for pick up and it took way longer than it said it would so I asked them to cancel the order however it didn't cancel it said on the app that I had received the order. So I drove to the restaurant and waited at the door 15 min before anyone acknowledged my presence and then a nice women came up and let me know she will call uber eats when she has time. So as it is now I have paid $94 and received no sushi and no refund from the restaurant. I won't eat hear again for the fact that I stood at the front for 15 min before anyone would talk to me and that they took my money and gave me nothing

I went there for lunch. Their bento box option is good sized. Makis ( rolls ) were tasty. I took icecream tempura for dessert and it was huge. It was good. Over all service was good and food was good. I do recommend this place.

First off this place has super cool decor. I was planning to sit at a booth and chose to sit at the sushi bar to watch the fish tanks. The chef's were friendly and kept serving me sushi rolls to try. I came for the ramen and ended up with more food than I could handle. From the door to the time I put in my order the customer service was on brand. My waitress was knowledgeable about the menu and even provided me with her favs. I chose the Ramen and seaweed salad. One issue with some ramen houses is the broth is like warm, this is not an issue here. My food was flavorful and perfect temperature. I plan to return and further explore the menu.

It's been quite awhile since I've been here. It was always one of my favs before we moved away. But tonight I really craved a good Hot Stone BiBimBap. Boy am I glad I came here... outstanding! Great food and great service. Glad to be back :)

For roughly $60 the wife was full and we had roughly 6 dishes and one cocktail (I was still slightly hungry). Think of it as more of a tapas style ordering. Soft shelled crab - My absolute favorite and by far the best dish! Crispy from the breading, soft shell and subtle crab taste, and to top it off the fried egg adds some creaminess from the yolk. Not greasy at all due to the way it's fried. And who doesn't like a little microgreen to add some freshness to it?! It could likely use a little more salt, and this particular time the yolk was a overcooked. Sushi Tacos - 2nd favorite! You get two, and frankly I prefer not sharing these (although my wife forced me to). It's such a unique dish. Each taco is palm sized. They take a yummy piece of laver (seaweed), coat one side and deep fry it to make a nice hard shell taco casing. Then they fill it with sushi rice, top it with plentiful tuna, add a slice of avocado, and top it with micro greens. Refreshing, light (once you squeeze the tiny lime on top), slightly filling due to the rice, and absolutely delicious. Takoyaki - I'm not a fan, but the wife is. For me it's a texture thing. Even when visiting Japan I didn't enjoy this dish. Honestly though I do think it deserves far more bonito flakes, as the dish is meant to look alive from the waving flakes. Honestly we love this place so much, I always get engrossed in the food so much I forget to take pics. The overall ambience is chill and refined, albeit no white tableclothes, but it acts like it should have them. This location gets busy during dinner time, however during happy hour it's rarely even 1/4 full. Monday's the happy hour is all day!

By far this is the best calamari we've eaten (and we test it at every Asian restaurant). Large selection of rolls and ala carte sushi and sashimi- we filled up before the yakisoba came out. Huge serving of chicken was served with the noodles, which were prepared to order with chili paste to make them perfectly extra spicy. Unlike many restaurants, soup and salad were served with the yakisoba entree and overall this made the meal a good value. Overall we were pleasantly surprised to have leftovers and a reasonable bill. We ordered the soft shell crab but was disappointed which is why it was only 4 stars. It was so heavily battered that we couldn't even taste the crab itself. I'd say to do a light batter for this before frying. The best part of a soft shell crab is the taste of the crab not the batter. But all in all I'd come back!

Been meaning to try this place for a few years, and I finally made the drive up to Cedar Park to…read moretry what many online threads claim is the most authentic ramen in the area. The broth is delicate -- dashi-forward and mellow. One thing Ramen 512 does really well is the condiment setup. The way a diner has salt, pepper, ketchup, and Tabasco on the table, Ramen 512 offers togarashi, black pepper, rice vinegar, and chili oil -- exactly what a ramen shop should have. Since the broth was a bit light for my taste, I used the chili oil and pepper to dial it in. The noodles are thin and slightly soft, reminiscent of chūka soba. Not bad, but not my favorite style. The ajitsuke tamago (seasoned egg) is decent. The menma (bamboo shoots) were cut too thick. I ordered extra scallions but didn't get much. The chashu meat was chicken, which is fine. The internet isn't wrong -- this is authentic ramen, faithful to its roots. But it's also firmly mid. In Japan, ramen exists on a spectrum: there are bowls people line up hours for, and there are bowls you grab at an airport or a food court -- perfectly respectable, just unremarkable. Ramen 512 lives closer to the latter. It respects the craft without pushing it forward. It won't make you count the days until your next visit. But it's a solid neighborhood bowl, and I'm glad it exists. **8/10**

Everything they serve is made from scratch including their noodles and broth but the pricing is incredibly reasonable. Their customer service is top-notch which is just the icing on the cake! Our table was ready at 7:00 pm and one of the workers kept us updated about the status of our table several times while we waited. Once seated, there is a QR code on the table to scan and place your order. Our server brought water to the table right away and checked on us throughout the meal to make sure we had what we needed. All of our food was prepared and delivered to the table about 10 minutes after ordering. I was incredibly impressed by the customer service! PRICING - The total was $67.65 after tax ($5.15) but before tip for a chicken karaage ($8), signature shoyu ($17) with extra spinach ($1.50) and extra kikurage mushrooms ($1.50), classic tonkotsu ($17), and black tonkotsu ($17.50). I think the pricing is reasonable for the quality of ingreidents and portion size. CHICKEN KARAGAGE (8/10): The chicken is incredibly juicy and tender while the coating is crispy! The Japanese mayo on the side for dipping is delicious. It comes with several large pieces so it's a great option for an appetizer to share. SIGNATURE SHOYU (8/10): This is a Tokyo-style shoyu ramen with chicken and dashi broth that's savory, umami, and a little tangy. It comes with pork chashu (I subbed chicken for no extra cost), homemade noodles, spinach, bamboo shoot, scallion, nori, Japanese fish cake, and half a soy egg. I added extra spinach and kikurage mushrooms for $1.50 each. CLASSIC TONKOTSU (9/10): This has a rich and creamy pork broth with a savory umami flavor. It comes with pork chashu, homemade noodles, kikurage mushrooms, beni shoga, scallions, nori, and half a soy egg. This is definitely a must-order if it's your first time! BLACK TONKOTSU (8/10): This has a rich and creamy pork broth with black garlic oil. It comes with pork chashu, homemade noodles, kikurage mushrooms, beni shoga, scallions, nori, garlic chips, and half a soy egg. All the flavors pair well together but the garlic does overpower the pork flavor in the broth (but I think that's to be expected if you're ordering a black garlic tonkotsu). Honestly, there's nothing not to love about Ramen512... from the service to the ingredients to the pricing, it has everything you could want and more. Eventually, I'd love to try everything on the menu because there are so many great options! The interior has counter seating like what you would traditionally see at a ramen shop in Japan as well as tables so it's perfect for enjoying a meal by yourself or with your entire family. I would recommend Ramen512 to anyone in the north Austin area looking for authentic Japanese ramen at a reasonable price!

This is a great celebration place, as the grill/table seats 8-10 people. They make a big deal out of special occasions--they've banged a gong and had us pose with a katana for a birthday picture. All hibachi entrees are cooked on the grill in front of you. There are several proteins to choose from: chicken, scallops, shrimp, lobster, and various cuts of beef. The dinner entrees also include soup, salad, mixed vegetables, and two shrimp. Upgrade your rice to fried rice for an additional charge--must not miss. There is also a 10 and under kids menu with generous portions and great prices. Generally, there are three chefs that rotate amongst the tables. They each put on a show--flipping and tossing utensils and one of the chefs adds quite a bit of comedy and another level of skill. They also have everyone try to catch bits of shrimp that are launched through the air. Unfortunately, one of the chefs, who has been there for years, comes across as disinterested and, to make it worse, he doesn't season the food very much, so it comes out bland. That being said, recommend.

I also checked out the appetizer menu and decided to try the curry pancake. The boxed Chicken Katsu came out piping hot. It was still a generous portion of chicken layered over rice. When I saw the side compartment, I paused for a second and thought, is that soup? Then I realized it was actually the onion, egg, and soy mixture that goes with donburi. I did not know it would be packed separately, so I was not especially careful with the container and a little of it spilled into the bag. That said, I really applaud this place for separating it. It kept the chicken katsu crispy and the rice dry and fluffy until I was ready to eat. The curry pancake was different from what I expected, but in a pleasant way. It was not filled with curry or mixed into the dough. Instead, it was a hot, crispy, flaky Asian-style pancake with a texture similar to a scallion pancake, served with a curry dipping sauce. The curry had a bold and flavorful profile. It was not thick but nor sweet as the usual Japanese curry block sauces, as I was expeecting since it is a japnese themeed place. Te curry to me tatded more indian curry stlye, a bit spicy and a strong but it had a strong savory depth. Because of the texure closer to a desn flavor croth it did not cling to the pancake as much, not like how naan would scoopt up the curry, but it still paired very well, and works nice with the katsu, too! I can see this being a casual and intimate date spot, without venturing into too fancy of a dinner. We got the Fire dragon roll - we mostly ordered this for the spectacle because we saw on the menu that it would be on fire. And it was so cool! It's completely wrapped in foil while on fire, which isn't as cool, but it was still cool regardless. But eating it, this was our favorite that we tried. The eel is so soft, it just melts in your mouth. And the fire in the foil makes the roll so warm and creamy. Which I know isn't something you really want when you think sushi, but it was so good. The rollercoaster roll - I think the taste of this roll wasn't necessarily anything special. It was good and it had a little spicy kick. But what set it apart was the tempura inside gave it some crunchy bits that were fun to eat. Yellowtail tornado roll - I really liked the yellowtail in this roll! But I'm not the biggest fan of jalapeño, so this one was just okay for me. Lemon salmon roll - this roll was really light and refreshing! Probably my second favorite of the night. But the citrus flavor was pretty strong, since it had yuzu sauce and sliced lemon on top. I feel like I would have liked it more if it was just the yuzu without the lemon.
