I've been with the CU for 14 years and ALWAYS am happy with my interactions. In person, I am always greeted with a genuine welcome. I am waited on quickly and so far, there's no issue they couldn't help with. The on line customer service is most helpful. There security standards are top notch. After spending years with big banks, I love Redwood Credit Union all the more.

Recently, we lost my dad (they've been married for almost 40 years) and a situation happened where we had no control over it. Cindy told my mom to stop "writing bad checks and she wouldn't overdraw" while in front of other customers, as well as making another teller cry in front of my mom. Not sure why they'd keep a teller around that's okay with making a customer feel this way.

Here is why I will not do business with this Bank: This bank charges $5 to cash a check drawn at their bank if you are not a customer. While this IS a legal practice, it is despicable to me that I should have to PAY to receive money owed to me...especially when the bank's customer has already PAID for the "privilege" of being a customer. If this bank did not charge a fee to cash my check, I would have opened an account with them because I am looking for a local bank. But I know that I can expect this bank to fee me to death like so many banks are doing. Let me be clear, folks. Don't believe the hype. Banks are not TOO BIG to FAIL.. If we allow banks that SHOULD fail TO fail (as a FREE market would demand) then banks which don't VALUE their customers and respect their money should not HAVE customers.
