Fysh sandwich with Mac and cheese and kale.
    Abena O.

We came here to support a friend who has changed their diet to vegan. You do need to pay attention so you don't miss it. The restaurant is very chic. The decor was beautiful with some great art work. They have a small bar and TVs so that is always a nice touch. The owner blessed us with a non alcoholic shot called The Wake Up. It definitely does that. It was good. I asked for recommendations as always. The fish sandwich is popular so I went with that with a side of kale and macaroni and cheese. The sandwich was mushroom based with some amazing breading! But the star was the Mac and cheese! I could eat that and the kale all day long. I also sampled some of my friends Krack Tea. So good! The hints of orange and i think cinnamon really make it a little different. Whether you are vegan or not , this place is worth a try.

AMBIANCE (4/5): Tons of indoor & outdoor patio seating, although it seemed like everyone pre-ordered or picked up to go. They have 2 long communal tables and a ton of 2-4 people tables. The wood tables make it look rustic, pop music playing so it's not awkwardly quiet. SERVICE (3/5): You order at the counter first, a single cashier, but it goes fairly quickly. Most of the staff is in the back kitchen. It's more "serve yourself". You grab your own drinks from the fridge, all utensils, napkins, and water are already on the table, and throw your own trash away, everything is in disposable containers. FOOD (4/5): $22 BUILD YOUR OWN BOWL: I personally didn't like the signature rice, I wanted the crispy rice fritters but they were sold out at 1:30pm on a Friday. The crispy Brussels were AMAZING! Definitely get this for a (+$2.50 upgrade). Bulgogi ribeye was sweet and delicious! Cashier offered a side of spicy Korean sauce which I didn't realize I'd be charged for, just wish she told me it was an additional cost (+$0.75). It doesn't need any extra sauce, the bowls are very saucy! And I'm a heavy sauce person. Also added a fried egg (+$2). The bowl was very delicious, minus the signature rice, I'd get all crispy Brussels next time! $4 BUTTERFLY TEA: very sweet, but good! $4 MINI COOKIES (4-PACK): I got 2 chocolate chip and 2 banana chip cookies. A little dry, but yummy. OVERALL (4/5): This is a FAST-CASUAL restaurant. They ask for automatic tip at the cashier, but you pretty much service yourself except when they bring out the food. I honestly wasn't expecting to spend this much for a quick lunch (total was $36), but I wanted to try everything. Now I know what I like and don't like here and excited to try some of the other bowl options! Definitely recommend this place! Very yummy!

I was able to park right in front of the door, greeted immediately once I stepped inside and able to take my choice of seating. I'd already looked at the menu while on the plane and placed my order shortly after sitting down. I was ***pleasantly*** surprised by how quickly my food came out once I ordered. As I often do when visiting a place for the first time, I ordered an assortment of items. Two for dine in and one to go. My ranked items are below. 1. The red velvet spelt pancakes are different but worth trying. Not as fluffy as VHOP or the biscuits from Sevananda but still enjoyable. 2. Again - surprisingly - the Rasta pasta was a 2nd fav! Creamy. "Cheesy." Flavorful. 3. The lion's mane and hush puppies were just okay. The hush puppies - again - were different. Both items veered on the salty side. 4. The potatoes and vegan sausage side items were also just okay. Overall, I had a good visit. 10/10 for service. 7-8/10 for food. BUT still worth a try.

Only lost a star because I was a bit disappointed in the Mac and cheese. It's pictured baked with melted cheese on top and that's not how it was delved at all, it was more just like spiced pasta (still good but not what I was looking for)
