My friends and I over the years have had mixed experiences at Uncanny King of Prussia. It was not actually a comic shop, but a pop culture shop with a weak selection of comics. I visited here in late summer 2021 and found positive changes, including more focus on comics. When I was traveling back through the area again, I didn't hesitate to stop in with a friend and see how it was going. That was a mistake. Uncanny had to move again to another location in the mall over by Nordstrom. Shop's exterior and interior looks nice, not sure they did the work or the previous tenant did. Space is divided into three rooms. The main area has graphic novels, another houses new pull comics, and a final room is full of longboxes. Except...there's a barricade to the longbox room. My friend was confused and asked about it as we primarily came here for the longboxes. Even after being located here for a month, they don't have them ready. This is unacceptable and I felt bad for the employee, who probably had to tell this to more than one customer. For being in a prestigious location, the King of Prussia Mall, this shop lacks a lot of what it should and most of that is direction. I recommend Showcase Comics and Games in Bryn Mawr and Brave New Worlds in Willow Grove for shops that are well stocked, stable, and reliable. read more

Great comic shop in an unconventional location. Uncanny! is the first comic book store I've ever seen in a mall. The King of Prussia Mall is a massive shopping center, but lacked many of the nerdier stores such as Hot Topic, Box Lunch, and Spencers establishments where I can buy cool shirts, figures, and other geeky merch. Uncanny! fills that niche beautifully while also delivering on the experiences I expect from my local comic shop. Uncanny! isn't the largest store, but it makes up for it with excellent space usage. Products are organized neatly into sections from clothes to comics to games. The comic sections are further divided into recent comics, graphic novels, kid comics, and back issues (old/out of print comics). The store is well kept and clean, and the colorful decor makes it feel alive, even when there is no one else shopping. If you are a die-hard collector, you might be disappointed due to the limited availability of items. As mentioned, space is limited, so you might not find some of your old collector issues or rare figurines. But you will find most everything new. If you are looking for something, call ahead. The people here are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Prices are fair, except for the odd retail-exclusive comics that are a bit higher priced than what I've seen in other comic stores. They also offer a loyalty program. Spend X-money, get Y-gift cards. It's pretty simple, free to sign up, and has no expiration. So it's worth your time if you come to the mall every month or so. If you're looking for a gift for that nerdy someone, or just want to pick up the latest DC or Marvel comic, Uncanny! is a fun little stop in your mall shopping experience. read more

Difficult to find in the mall but it is clean and loaded with comics, figures, and T-Shirts. Plenty of new comics and has a good amount of back issues. Well organized so you can find what you're looking for. read more

I came here on a non-busy night an hour before close. The positive- It was really nice to see a back issue section, looked through for about 30 minutes- but couldn't find anything to fill my collection. The negative- no greeting on entrance or even while I was waiting there when I made a purchase- even though I was in the store for about 45 minutes. Boxed stock & T-shirts on top of the back issues. I get space can be tight sometimes in a comic shop, but this store has plenty of retail space. I asked to buy a bag-and-board and was bluntly told there was none available to be sold after the aloof sales associate turned to a gigantic pile directly behind him. At a comic shop? No bags-and-boards? If comic shops want to succeed, they need to excel in basic customer service & human interaction even if it's baseline- I received zero to none. This is why Amazon type retailers are doing better than brick & mortar stores. Do better Uncanny. read more

I like to update my review on this place. They moved within the mall a few times since my last review. The store is still huge and this one seems like they have not fully stocked it yet. I am sure they eventually will. Cool books are still on the wall. Prices of wall books still seems a little high but most are not outrageous (my biggest complaint from the last review). I was in there today for the first time on a Wednesday to pick up new releases. I was able to find what I was looking for and the cashier was very nice (everyone in the store always have been). As comic books go, they have a good a selection of current books and a small amount of back issues. They stock a lot of T-shirt's, hoodies, toys, and other novelties. It is a mall so it's hard to make your money on just books. Overall, I like it being close to home. Check them out if you're in the area. read more

I had the book I needed written down and my wife was going to get it. The incompetent staff gave her the wrong book. Then I drive 45 mins to go back to get the right one and explain the situation, once again the idiot staff would not even help me out. Forget this place I will never drop another penny in this crappy store. I will stick to amazon where they are not incompetent idiots. read more

They have some cool items and knowledgable staff. The issue is the selection of shirt sizes are pitiful. Also if you return something you only get store credit, which is fine except they don't accept the credit at their other location. I wouldn't waste your money here. You can find better selection at other stores with a better exchange policy. read more

I just recently moved here from Chicago and have been feeling a little lost. I walked in here and was immediately welcomed by Chris. It helped to lift the week's of anxiety and stress that I've been dealing with during this time. It is amazing what a great comic shop can do for you. This is one of the better ones I've been to in my time. Also, thanks to Chris for making the Philadelphia area feel a little bit like home. Will definitely be back! read more

This store is the only reason I would venture up to the KOP mall. They have a great selection in apparel and action figures. Their statue selection is small compared to other comic book stores in the area. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I wish they would settle on one location in the mall. In the past two years they have moved at least 3 times. Other than that it's a great store. read more

I stopped in today and had the best customer service from a new employee in training -- Uncanny didn't have what I needed (an obscure manga) but he and his trainer directed me to a store that did. They got me what I needed for my daughter for Christmas and showed that they care about the customer, not just the sale. We'll be back for sure, thanks Uncanny!!! read more

i was in town and like to play magic the gathering, their website/facebook doesnt have any weekly cards besides fnm. so i called and the guy said just fnm, but there a sign up in the store that says they do drafts on monday, it was great to find on tuesday when i went there. read more

New staff is very helpful. Past management was not as friendly or useful. Everything is overpriced but they have some good store events.

These guys are the best! The staff here is fantastic. You can tell they are sincerely interested in customer satisfaction and are very attentive to customer needs. The store atmosphere is great and I enjoy going in every week. They have a huge inventory and the store is always clean and organized. If you are looking for comic books, trade paperbacks/graphic novels, or the latest in gaming or anything pop culture related you owe it to yourself to go to Uncanny! read more
