THEN, you feel & see how much care is taken in the choice of all Young Ones has to offer: vinyl, CDs, DVDs, blu RAY, video games & systems (Yes!) to the beautifully displayed tapestries, posters, concert posters, books, mugs, tshirts, and sooo much more. I just walked around there with my mouth open in amazement for the first hour I was there. The owner & staff are connected to the local music scene, supporting local musicians & venues ... dedicated to promoting artists and bringing you the music you want! They are growing (still growing) company that cares about the community. I have met the owner and seen his vision. He is there from time to time and interacts with his patrons. The staff is really friendly. Now the only downside is the current location. I was there and didn't have a spot to play on a Friday night but that isn't the stores fault. Everyone had their own little groups and pods so as someone who is alone I feel out of place and had to sit at the cafe. The bright side is they are moving to a bigger location if I heard that right so I am excited for the team and company. To sum up the location it's a place you can play video games. You can rent a room/theatre lounge for private events/gathering. You can rent a computer/consoles to play. You can join a community to play card games, they even have board games to use. The staff had nothing but patience as I had a large extensive list of things I wanted. The owner even came to unlock the basement as he had more items in the basement that I wanted. They were very helpful, had several of the items I wanted and most of all I felt like their prices were fair. The owner also gave a nice discount. My mom went to several other retro video game stores in the area and none of them compared to this. The other stores were either severely overpriced and unwilling to negotiate, the employees weren't friendly or they didn't have a good selection. This place was perfect and I would definitely come again when I'm in town.

It's located INSIDE of State Theater Vintage Emporium, which is an adventure in itself. Walk in the doors, go up the stairs and its the first "big" fixture/box shop on the left. They carried everything and anything anime and Japanese from plush, figures, cards/card games to even straight from Japan video games and trinkets for Ita Bags. They even had some Pocky, Ramune and other Japanese snacks for purchase. I think we saw the owner restocking as we perused and he was very personable mentioning he could answer any questions we had. Prices were in line/if not better than ones I see at conventions and online. Overall a great place to stop if you're in the market for current or vintage Japanese goods.

Alchemist's Cove Games & Comics moved into its new building along Route 61 in December 2025 after…read morebeing previously located in Schuylkill Haven. They had already expanded their space at the old location once, and this new location continues on that path. The first floor has all of the gaming and comic products, while the second floor has the gaming space. Store has a pretty large selection of card and tabletop gaming items. New pull comic book selection is good, with longboxes mostly containing newer books. Graphic novels are spread across several bookshelves and the selection is good. They have a handful of other things like Pop Vinyls. Overall, Alchemist's Cove Games & Comics is arguably the best comic book shop for several surrounding counties outside of the Allentown metro area, and continues to grow. It's worth a stop when in the area.
