Not at all pleased with my experience here. Came to get coffee and had to wait almost 30 minutes for it to be brought out. Initially, 2 iced coffees were made incorrectly and made as hot coffee. We've been here a few times and have always had a positive experience. Clean, cute, conveniently located by the beach and our motel is nearby as well. Friendly service, good food and full dishes. My son loves the fluffy French toast. He couldn't finish the kids meal but loved it so much that he brought the rest with him! My eggs Benedict was tasty but the sauce was not the best. It is conveniently located beside the Wildwood boardwalk and multiple hotels. Crusader Coffee offers great customer service, large portions, and unique menu items. I loved their baklava waffle. It's perfect beside a cup of hot tea/coffee especially if you are craving a sweet treat. It is just a little dry. Their omelets are satisfying, but filled with too many jalapeños. There's just something about the timelessness of a beachfront coffeeshop tucked into a Wildwood hotel. Sandwiches, omelettes, fresh squeeze orange juice. We decided to stop by the take out wonder to get some fruit bowls for the beach. We knew this had these bowls with Greek yogurt, granola, and fruit. They are called the "Crusader Beach Bowl". Usually, they'd be served in a pineapple as the actual bowl, but we knew we were not going to get that to-go. We go up the the window, ask for TWO of these beach fruit bowls, and the total is $27. $27?! We thought we heard the server wrong, but nope, it was $27. So then we thought, okay maybe they're somehow giving us the half a pineapple bowl and that's why it's so pricey. Again, we were wrong. I'm attaching a picture so everyone can see what you get in one...ridiculous price for what you get. They didn't even take off money for not putting it in the pineapple bowl. We were rushed to order our ice cream the second we walked in the door. Workers made us feel like a disturbance. Supposed to be known for their donut cones, but we're extremely disappointed. Almost completely tasteless and hard. DONT order the birthday cake chunks. They were soggy and tasted like water. The ingredients are fresh and the food is very delicious. I was impressed, I really expected this to be a mediocre beachside joint. Service is prompt, attentive, and super nice. We've been vacationing at a hotel right next door to the Crusader for over 20 years. This year we were excited to see a new menu with some interesting choices. It appears here - in 2017 - they are under new management, or perhaps they just decided to kick it up a notch -- so to speak. Unfortunately, we had a very bad experience when we stopped in for breakfast. First, let me qualify by saying we visited during peak morning hours -- between 9:30 and 10:00. Though we had to wait for a table, the wait wasn't long -- only about 10 minutes or so. Our server was friendly and out-going and promptly took our orders and brought our coffees. He was also very helpful in explaining some of the newer Greek items that were on the menu. That was officially the end of our good experience. They have a take out window as well and apparently a very large order of breakfast sandwiches came in and the kitchen was overwhelmed. We waited nearly 35 minutes for our relatively simple order to arrive. Now, I am very patient and this alone wouldn't have been cause for a poor review. However, we never saw that friendly waiter again until after our food was brought out. He never came by to offer a coffee or water refill. We had ordered scrapple that did not come out with our order and when we asked they grabbed two plates that had been sitting under the hot lamp. I sent mine back and asked that it be removed from the bill (which he did). But, it gets worse. The scrapple was very thin and undercooked. Only one side was slightly browned and the other side was raw -- they had never flipped it. I ordered a dish with pouched eggs and they came out rock hard over-cooked, over-boiled. The person who brought out our plates had noticed this and well after I had finished eating the awful dish, she brought out two perfectly cooked pouched eggs -- which I had no interest in. I strongly suggest you do not go when they are busy -- if you must go at all. I am giving them 2 stars instead of 1 for the simple reason that it is a family run place with the kids chipping in to help. They seem like genuinely nice people. But their Achilles heal may be there new found success. We plan to come to the Crest for years to come. We will never set foot in there again. read more

The service was excellent and the atmosphere and view are what you expect from a cafe at a hotel, but better. This will be a new favorite place to come to when we visit the Wildwood's. read more

The Crusader restaurant serves up a great, reasonably priced diner-style breakfast. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating with beach views and seem to have recently freshened up the indoor decor. The "Old Fashioned Breakfast" gives you a little bit of everything - french toast or hotcakes, 2 eggs, 2 strips of bacon, and 2 sausages. The pancakes and omelettes are also good and served up hot.
