    Jerk chicken platter with fries
    Mary K.

This spot at Coki beach is perfect for lunch. They don't have any seats, but you can order take away at the window or they'll bring your food to you at the beach. Cash only! We weren't too hungry so we shared the jerk chicken platter which came with 5 wings, a salad and fries. The wings were t too spicy but had a little kick. I'd definitely eat here again!

Great locally own place! Food is great and the staff are nice! It's cash only! They have local cuisine and American favorites as well!

    Hair in food

FOR YOUR SAFETY DO NOT EAT HERE. We ordered a mahi sandwich and a mahi filet - I could not even bite into the fish from how hard and rubber like it was. My boyfriend took 3 bites of the sandwich and a hair came out of it (see picture). As nicely as human possible, we said we would not pay for the sandwich but we'll pay for the filet since it didn't have hair on it (even though I shouldn't pay for that either) the worker went crazy and started screaming at us and threatening that we will not leave the island or the restaurant and kept getting really close to my boyfriends face. He was saying we ate the food, i literally had one bite and left it and my boyfriend had 3 bites until we saw the hair and he stopped. He later came out with a chair pushed me (a girl) and attacked my boyfriend - everyone around was trying to make him stop and apologizing to us (so we were clearly not in the wrong). For your safety- do not eat here. We of course had to pay as we feared for our safety but this was not okay.

Jerk chicken was fire (literally), the conch was pretty good and the service was littttte, you'll know what I'm taking about when you meet the lady running up and down the beach taking and delivering orders, GREAT BIG PERSONALITY. Don't get it confused with the little red shack next door, they aren't the same. Also, all the food shacks have runners on the beach so make sure you know which one you are ordering from. Our lady was on it. HOT, TASTY FOOD delivered to your lounge chair while you sit in front of the beautiful ocean....That's a GOOD LIFE. Oh, BEWARE of those chickens hanging around, they are savage. Watch your back and watch your food.

Watch out for the chickens that snatch your fries!!!

Uncle Buddy is legit for Coki Beach. Dont settle for the red trailer food. Had the fried conch and jerk chicken and they were fabulous. Fried were solid but they didnt have rice or plaintains so we missed out. Mama was a great server and really aimed to please. You can bring food to the beach if you want, or just opt for this legit spot.

When you make your way to Coki Beach you have to stop at this place and ask for Maho's special drink. You absolutely cannot leave this island before you've tasted it. While you're there make sure you grab a plate too.

    Jerk chicken platter.... spicy!!

We were spending the afternoon on Coki Point Beach and couldn't have had a better experience for our food and drink than Uncle Buddy's! They've apparently been on the beach 21 years mixing up dangerous frozen rum drinks and fantastic food. We got the jerk chicken platter and the conch fritters platter to share. So delicious and delivered to our chairs on the beach! Part of what made the day perfect!! One point I would note is to walk up and order your food from the counter. People who ordered from the wandering waitresses were complaining of the wait and other reviewers have mentioned some confusion about the prices charged. ***Cash only***

I got 2 plates for $30 and it's so much quality food. Macaroni and cheese came out fresh and it was soooooo good. Major hit. The wings both were so good as well as the stewed chicken. The fungi was also so fun and delicious. Tastes like thicker grits.

In a place where highly priced restaurant dot the island, The Chicken Fry is a great spot to pick up lunch and dinner (no tables) and fill your beach/work hunger. We had 3 big plate orders of stewed chicken, white rice, and yellow plantains, also comes with a side of beans. The chicken was moist and juicy especially with the savory sauce it was cooked with, the rice wasn't dry, the plantains ripe and well cooked, and the beans were seasoned and spiced just right. Service was friendly, fast even with the constant influx of people coming in. Fresh food was coming from the kitchen even by 745pm. The interior is simple, no frills, and well lit. We parked our car on the street and it took us less than 10 min to get our order. The road may seem sketchy to outsiders especially at nighttime but we had no problems finding the place. Would come back to try more of their food and would recommend! Small plates are around $8-9, and big plates start from around $12. Our big plate with the stewed chicken. Rice, plantains and a side of beans were $12 each. Oxtail big plate is $18 . Cash and credit cards accepted.

As noted in my last review, our plan going in was to not eat all day so we could enjoy the 11-course chefs tasting menu. So glad we did! 11 perfectly executed small plates, each one fantastic on its own, but as an almost two-hour presentation, heaven on a plate! The restaurant itself is very nice, cool bar area in the back. Nice dining area. But, counter seating is where it's at for a front row seat into the kitchen. Staff is first rate, fun, happy, on the ball! IGNORE reviews complaining about prices and portion sizes! Those are simply IGNORant folks who didn't check out the place before dining there. Blue 11 is foodie, gastro perfection. Pricey yes, small portions yes, but for those who truly appreciate fine dining and expecting a chef's talent, this is a must do in St. Thomas. Easily one of the top two or three restaurants in the USVIs! Simply outstanding! Highly recommend!
