Well no wonder Uncle Gino's gets 4.5 stars although I am giving him 5! I don't drive a 100 miles for a pizza but I'm Gino's case I just might! I'm from out of town and after getting a horrible flatbread at Miramonte winery I needed a solid pizza outing. I chose Gino's and I now feel like a genius! Gino is a cool guy from NYC and he knows how to make a pie! I ordered an X-Large pepperoni, sausage and mushroom pie with extra sauce and extra cheese. It was phenomenal! I'm a big boy and can down several slices of pie but I had to tap out after 3 incredible tasting slices. Very satisfying. Sauce was excellent and I detected a bit of spice which added to the experience. Had a leftover slice heated up today and my eyes rolled back in my head it was that good! Side note; enough exclamation points! We order a dinner salad which had enough for 4 people. I think it was $6. I know one thing for sure that when I return to Temecula I will be stopping by for a pie and will probably get a second one to take home. Great job Uncle Gino! read more

Vegan review: Gino greeted us and took our order. He recommended adding vegan meats to our pizza -- yes please! The vegan cheese was super melty which shows he either knows to pick the best cheeses or makes a sauce or aids in its melting before putting it in the oven. The vegan pepperoni was great and I'm so glad we made Uncle Gino's a priority while we were in Temecula. This is a second time we've ordered. We were so impressed with our first one, we ordered again. This time, however, the order arrived over 30 min after we were notified it was on its way. The food was not warm at all. We found the order on the ground on our front porch. No door bell or knock or any notification it arrived. The driver felt the ground was a better option than the porch table. The specialization of our order was not co considered or handled. One pizza toppings were charred; which makes cold pizza even worse I am very disappointed in the quality of food and the driver/delivery. Even more that I tipped when I placed my order so the delivery got a tip for terrible service. read more

I wanted to share some feedback on our recent visit. When we walked in, the establishment had a vintage feel, but not in a positive way. When we went to order, the person behind the counter didn't seem terribly interested in taking our order, but reluctantly did so. My family and I sat down at the only two tables inside while waiting for our pizza. Once we got our order, the first slice was good, but unfortunately, as the pizza sat, the oils made the crust and pizza soggy, which was disappointing. A few days ago we did take out pizza, garlic knots and mozzarella sticks. I have to be honest when I say it was the worst pizza I've ever had, the crust was burnt and so thin that I have see rice paper thicker. I'm not sure what quality of cheese they use on the pizzas but some wasn't even melted despite a burnt crust. The garlic knots totally burnt. The only thing cooked correctly was the mozzarella sticks. First and last visit sorry! read more

Great service and the pizza is NY style. The crust is perfectly cooked and the toppings are just right. My new pizza place from now on.

Unfortunately our visit was not good from the moment we walked in. We only ended up staying because we were hungry and most places were already closed on a Sunday night. The gentleman who I believe is the owner greeted us and took our order. There was a woman on the phone taking an online order and when she was done on the phone she asked us rudely what we wanted to order. My husband told her our order had been taken and once again she repeated her herself rudely and my husband had to tell her a second time our order had been taken. As we are waiting for our order she is slamming things in the kitchen and just seemed to be very unhappy. To my surprise as other customers walked in which happen to be Caucasian people she seemed very nice and polite to them. This made me think she isn't to fond us brown skin people. Unfortunately you shouldn't be working in customer service if you treat people differently based on the color of their skin. Now as for the pizza goes it lacked flavor and was very doughy. My family and I aren't fans of this type of pizza, we prefer New York style. The owner did thank us for coming when we left. This was our first and definitely our last visit to this establishment. I would absolutely not recommend this place to anyone. I hope the owner reads this and does something about that very unhappy lady he has working for his restaurant. read more

This is our 3rd time going 2nd time eating here. First time was amazing customer service from i believe the owner was there and he answered all of our questions making us want to come back. So we did, we came back food was amazing 10/10 large pizza and calzone, The pizza was thick juicy and just tasted phenomenal and the service was okay it felt a little rushed but it was fine. Now is the latest time. Service was horrible she did not have the time or day to talk to us, so a different lady was handed the phone to finish the order. And the food was nothing at all like the first time. The Extra Large pizza was almost horrible. Dry, thin and no flavor. Almost thought we had the wrong place. I do not know what changed. i don't know if it was the different staff this last night, but even when picking up the pizza, the girl on the phone hung up with whoever she was talking to because it seemed that they were asking too many questions. The owner and whoever was there our first night picking up the pizza seemed amazing and has a big heart for pizza and the community. The pizza when properly made to his standards is absolutely incredible. The other staff just needs better training in all their fields unfortunately. So right now it's a 50/50 when its good its dam good. I hope you get the chance to eat it on those days because it made us wanting to go back over and over, just now we'll have second thoughts ordering unfortunately. read more

We were so happy to find Unlce Gino's after being deprived of good vegan pizza (and pastas) for so long. The crust, sauce, veggies, pastas, and desserts are top shelf and prepared with care. Moreover, when we order, Gino is so helpful in explaining the options he has (vegan sausage, pepperoni, meatballs, etc) and, when we pick up, he shows us the finished meals and ensures that there was no cross contamination between utensils and surfaces. I mean really, it's the sweetest thing and so considerate. He takes great pride in his ingredients, prep, variety, flavors, and service and we couldn't be happier or more impressed. I got the Beef pepperoni pizza along with Tiramisu which Gino makes fresh himself. Everything about the pizza was perfect. Crust was perfectly crispy, the toppings were cooked to perfection, and the sauce tied everything together. They make it all from scratch and you can tell they make it with Love. Gino's been making pizza for over 41 years and nobody does it better than him. Besides the love you get from the pizza, Gino and his Daughter Julianna will treat you like family and share stories and a few jokes. Im so glad i walked into his restaurant. Seems to me like you're an owner that doesn't take responsibility for their shortcomings. Furthermore, you should try not having such an attitude towards people/negative reviews. Not a good look. Also, take your own advice on lying. Attempting to act like others are to save face is just wrong. I see you've done it to a couple people on here. All I can say is WOW!!! I've been living in temecula since 2016 and I've been looking for a pizza spot that serves beef pepperoni and has vegan options. Uncle Gino's is ridiculously good. I feel like I heard an Angel singing when I bit into the pepperoni calzone. The ricotta, the basil and the beef pepperoni was so good! The crust was super buttery, moist, flaky, and crunchy, I'm gonna need a fix more often. They also use a separate set of knives for the beef and vegan options which is a nice touch. Ordered a vegan pepperoni pizza from Uncle Gino's over the phone. Arrived to pick it up. The only person I saw there was an older gentleman, who was taking an order over the phone. After the call, he hung the phone up, walked over to a prep table and proceeded to place toppings on a pizza. It wasn't my pizza, but was still a bit concerning-no gloves, no washing of hands-just touch phones, money and food all the same. The pizza itself was ok. I'm not sure what type of cheese is used here or what was done to the cheese. I was told it was Follow Your Heart brand, but it was very liquidlike. I thought maybe they used the Miyoko Liquid Mozzerella cheese because Follow Your Hearts shreds still look like shreds and this was dripping and ready to fall off the pizza read more
