Horrible customer service. He literally yelled at my kids cause he couldn't hear on his old phone he has. If you have a problem with my children then tell me and I will fix it. I'm the first person to correct my kids if they are acting up. He must been stressed because it was hot and he had his tv loud but no excuse to yell at customers especially children. Anyways food was very bland and tasteless. Definitely will not ever be back. *** Since you wanna act like my kids were acting like they were on a playground and lie thats hilarious. This was first and last time eating at this place! It's a literally a dump. How it got good reviews I'll never know. Probably had all his friends vouch for him on here. He took $120 cash and did a "custom item" on our receipt in which my fiancée used his debit card for $75 after tax and tip came out to around $214. Visited uncle Gino's tonight for the first time and am so glad I did. We had a group of 7 so we got a little of everything. Pizza was delicious , crust was excellent and perfectly cooked. Garlic knots are a must and we almost finished 2 baskets. Spaghetti was also good, my daughter substituted the meatballs for sausage and loved it although talking to Gino later he said the homemade meatballs are a must try for next time, wings were large and meaty with perfect amount of sauce. And the Caesar salad with Gino's homemade sauce was delicious. We were there in the late evening so it wasn't too busy and we had the chance to talk to Gino. He is legit. His speech and mannerisms reminded me of my nana from Sicily. Turns out I was spot on and he was born in Sicily but for the last 36 years has been making pizza in New York. Everything is handmade from scratch and it's all delicious. When it was time to go Gino boxed up our food refilled our marinara sauce for the leftovers knots and the same for the Caesar dressing for the leftover salad. I will be back to try the meatballs on Gino's recommendation. The restaurant itself was small but very clean, only issue was the pizza oven makes it pretty hot to eat inside but we ate outside on the patio and it was fine. So happy that I found Uncle Gino's Pizzeria! My husband and I noticed that there was a New York pizzeria next door to our dog groomer and decided to try it. We had a slice of pepperoni and a slice of cheese pizza as well as a Caesar salad. Everything was made from scratch right in front of us and the food was delicious. We decided to use them as the caterer for a party and I can't say enough good things. Again we ordered a pepperoni and a cheese pizza, added a bbq chicken pizza and 3 dozen chicken wings. Food is delicious. Unfortunately that's not why I'm writing this review. I came in on new years, I'm a restaurant manager and had just finished a busy shift at my own food service place. I was very excited to try a new pizza place, and my order was ready 20 minutes earlier than expected! With high hopes I enter the establishment, grab a drink to add to my purchase from the fridge, and wait for the cashier to finish with the man in front of me. I hear him telling the man how good the pepperoni is, I'm all smiles and excited for my turn. A man walks in behind me and is immediately greeted and asked if he's there to pick up or order. I'm a little thrown off because I wasn't greeted but I figure he just didn't see me. Man in front leaves, I go to register. I'm immediately greeted by a scowl. I tell him I'm there to pick up my order and I'm told "it's not ready yet, and you're not next, he got here first" and gestures to the man I watched walk in behind me. I try to explain I had been waiting, and he's just scowling at me the whole time. Also shame on the man behind me for not speaking up when he knew I had been there before he even entered the building. The kind girl working behind him let me know the food actually was ready, and grabbed it for me. 5 stars for her. I was so taken aback I almost forgot about the drink I was holding, I wish I had put it back instead of giving them more business after that interaction but it is what it is. I'm here eating the pizza, it's wonderful, but unfortunately I will not return to Gino's, and if you value customer service I cannot recommend this location. Based on other low reviews I'm lowering my review, I thought maybe it was an off day but apparently this place has a bit of a reputation for treating customers like this. Came in and the older man behind the counter was yelling at the younger kid. Then when I received my order, I asked for a bag, and was met with a condescending attitude and "it's already in a bag" which it was not what I asked. Rude. I will not be returning. Gino V, it's probably best not to challenge your customers, especially on Yelp, as your customers ordering online have a complete record of every order at our fingertips. To be clear, we have ordered from Uncle Gino's nearly a dozen times, from Grubhub, since February, 2020 and every order included two (2) calzones - EVERY SINGLE ORDER. Your prices changed between July 1 and July 17. We reduced the frequency of our ordering when the price went up, but we did continue to support your restaurant because the quality was second to none.
