They did a great job showcasing the property and explaining how the space can be transformed to create a beautiful, timeless wedding. The pricing was also within our budget, which was a huge plus for us. We chose a package that included almost everything we needed, including the majority of our vendors. The only vendors we were responsible for finding ourselves were the photographer, officiant, and bakery for our wedding cake, which made the planning process much more manageable. The food and drinks provided through their vendors were absolutely delicious--our guests raved about how good everything was, and that was definitely one of the highlights of the day. Our day-of coordinator, Abby, was also fantastic. She really helped bring our vision to life for both the ceremony and reception and made sure everything flowed smoothly on the wedding day. We also received a complimentary upgrade to their scentscaping, which was such a subtle but lovely touch and added something special to the overall atmosphere. Areas for improvement One thing we would have appreciated was receiving a more detailed, itemized breakdown of the package pricing, specifically showing how much of our total was allocated to each individual vendor. Having that information upfront would have made it easier to understand exactly where our money was going. We also felt that the planning process could have been a little more structured. At times, it felt like we had to figure out what our next steps were or what needed to be completed and when. Having a step-by-step planning guide or timeline from the venue would have made the process feel less overwhelming and given us more confidence that we weren't missing anything. Thankfully, we had ChatGPT, Pinterest, and some very helpful friends to guide us along the way! Overall, we truly enjoyed our experience with Veil Wedding Loft. The beautiful space, delicious food and drinks, wonderful vendors, and incredible support on our wedding day helped create a celebration that we--and our guests--will remember for years to come. We were also very disappointed in the quote which was originally hand written with no clear picture or vendor choices and a horrible menu choice for food options, one page pamphlet, etc. We asked for all inclusive in our first visit, which in first quote we thought was written out, but in our second visit they said it wasn't and had to ask for another quote to be emailed. In the 2nd quote it was also an unprofessional layout and not prepared with very little detail and lots of unknowns and no specifics on vendors for fresh flowers or other vendor options as we requested etc.. leaving us very upset, as we will now be looking outside of are area. I will start this review off by saying…read morethat I photograph weddings, so having a gorgeous scenic spot to marry my boyfriend/fiancé of 11 years was the #1 on our list and The Pond (+ the overcast weather haha) DELIVERED. And the #2 thing on the list was having a variety of backdrops to photograph against which we also found here no question. We first toured The Pond and met with Bonnie (the owner) back in September 2022. We had already toured 5 other venues and this ended up being our second to last tour and last day of touring. The second I stepped on the premise I knew we had found our place. The venue is absolutely gorgeous, breathtaking, and well taken care of. The pond is also full of bright koi fish and other cute little friends like ducks walk around. I felt like we were already late in booking a 2023 date, but to our luck they had May 5, 2023 open which was also 11th anniversary! Easy and done. This hidden gem venue has charm and is the most unique and scenic venue I've ever been to. The main selling points for us in addition to the views were: 1. Full Bridal and Groom houses to relax and get ready in. We each had 8 bridesmaids and groomsmen + our family so it was very important to us that we could find a place that could accommodate our large party to get ready in. They also have separate parking for the wedding party right next to the Bridal/Groom houses and another larger parking lot for guests which is also free for them 2. Fun and unique areas for all of our guests to spread out and explore. Including the gazebo overlooking the pond, fire pit (for s'mores), and cove underneath the gazebo to experience a waterfall. There was also a ton of space for all our vendors to set up including a Boba Table and Photobooth 3. Affordable price that included 1 hour rehearsal the day before, 10 hours on the premise for the wedding, and our package also included the DJ and Bartender team. This was great because those vendors are already used to working with Bonnie's team and DJ Richie killed our lighting throughout the venue as well! They also set up heat lamps for us when it got colder at night 4. DIY everything! I have been looking forward to planning my wedding my whole life and had a lot of decoration and vendor ideas. Bonnie and our Coordinator team (YourDayYourWay) helped make all our ideas and plans come to life and were gracious about accommodating everything we asked for including keeping the sails down in the ceremony space for our photos, letting us do special cups for boba, and letting us choose our catering (5 Elementos Food Truck). The whole event was 100% customized by us and this was so cool since I know a lot of venues have strict rules they never bend. And for anyone who may be deterred reading this because they don't want to DIY everything, I promise the venue still looks great just as it is even without all the extra stuff. Seriously! 5. They allow sparkler exits! I attended an event as a chaperone with the kids from Micah House, and from the moment you walk in, the Burrage Mansion is stunning. The steps leading up to the home and the beautifully preserved historic house immediately set the tone. The property owner generously hosts events here, and one of the annual events is a Christmas celebration for elementary school kids. He opens up the entire estate for the children to enjoy crafts, a magic show, bounce houses, and even a visit with Santa Claus. There are also two rooms filled with presents where each child gets to choose a gift, which was incredibly special to see. It was such a thoughtful, joyful, and memorable experience for everyone involved. I'm not sure what other events are hosted here, but based on this experience alone, the Burrage Mansion absolutely deserves five stars.

We worked with several people from the Mitten Building and everyone we had contact with was very friendly and provided excellent customer service. Our wedding reception was originally scheduled for late March 2020. Less than two weeks before our event was to take place, we got the call that it would have to be postponed due to COVID-19. The staff was very apologetic and allowed us to take our time with rescheduling. We even rescheduled twice because of changing mandates/ lockdowns with no hassle or fees. We met again with staff the week before our rescheduled event in May 2021 and we were able to update our guest count and adjust our invoice because unfortunately, it had changed significantly. The building is so beautiful and perfect for wedding portraits. We booked the Summerbell room and patio for our wedding reception. At our original walk-through meeting we were given a voucher to dine at the Mitten. We enjoyed it so much that we decided to book a tasking. After that tasting, we knew we had to go with the Mitten Building for our catering as well. All of the food was high quality and absolutely delicious! On the day of our event, we were treated like royalty. Our onsite coordinator from the Mitten Building ensured that everything was exactly as we had planned, ran smoothly, and took great care of us.
