Is this supposed to be a granola bowl? Or an acaii bowl. How come there's two layers of granola and just a small amount of acaii ? Unacceptable! This bowl is $17 unacceptable!

Hands down best go to ice cream spot in the Bronx. They offer anything from ice cream to soup yes I said it soup but only during the winter time. They switch some of their ice cream flavors according to season but you can still get all your favorites. They carry banana pudding which is deliciously hand made from scratch along with their pastries. Waffle sundaes are amazing! Service is great here everyone's super friendly and patient when you're stuck and can't decide on a flavor. The place has been upgraded so don't think you're walking into your average uncle Louie G's. The decor is picture perfect and inviting. They have outdoor seating so go ahead and treat your date to a sweet nightcap!

Love this place. It's clean. Everyone who works here is nice and patient. They will give recommendations, samples, and customize. We come for ice cream and occasionally a crepe. Tons of selections, something for everyone. And the ice cream isn't old and icy like some places.

Uncle Louie G., a chain of stores, made a comeback into the neighborhood. And, if I'm not mistaken practically at the same spot they held over 10+ years ago. Well before I started making my own soups, Uncle Louie used to be my go to for a quick, hearty warm up. They had a decent variety of soups then and looks like a decent variety now. I didn't make a purchase as I had eaten prior to walking in here and wasn't craving soup nor dessert. Billy, the friendly server, mentioned they also carry New England Clam Chowder on occasion, plus if extra hungry they'll prepare a Grilled Cheese Sandwich for you too. Uncle Louie's Italian Ices and Ice Creams are available year round, though come Fall/Winter that's when they breakout their soup options. I'll give them four stars for cleanliness, friendliness and bringing a little freshness back to the neighborhood. Let's hope their soups are still as good and they stay around for awhile.

Nothing special other than it being my neighborhood spot. It's honestly a quick grab and go spot, literally a nyc Deli but they have alll the snacks and drinks you could think of/want after a night out. That being said, people typically come here for the same reason so expect it to be packed after hours. Also, in case you were thinking there are NO vapes, tobacco, paper products available here Grab another sub across the street at Christina's and compare the two with your boo and make it fun or somethin, see which y'all prefer! My husband and I took a late night drive, and afterwards wanted something to eat . I ordered the Patriot sandwich on a roll. It consisted of steak, bacon, mozerella, mustard, mayo and cheddar cheese. The sandwich was 20/10. It was fresh, cheesy and very meaty lol. They have all different types of sandwiches, with cool NYC names lol. You place your order, pay then step back and wait for it. My sandwich was done fairly fast, being there was a small crowd. If ever your in the area, and want a great sandwich I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place .

( https://www.instagram.com/p/DQF8Gzekcks/ ). It is a shame because, besides myself, I know a few people that aren't in the neighborhood that travel regularly to G&L. Also its surprising because every time I go the place is pretty packed and occasionally there is a wait. What's also a shame, for me, is that on my recent visit my friend ordered the Steamed Seafood in Lemongrass and this is perhaps the top, or one of the top dishes on the menu. The seafood flavors and balances the slightly spicy lemongrass broth making this a crave worthy bowl. I ordered something out of my wheelhouse - the Coconut Spicy Lemongrass Soup, which on online order menu states its a popular dish. I couldn't see why this dish is so popular because I find other items on the menu superior. They make a tasty pho (especially when paired with a marrow bone). Their sandwiches are well made - I enjoy the different fish ones. I think their Vietnamese coffee could use some work - it is blander than other versions I had tried. Don't be too sad and maybe feel a little optimistic because owner Petra Rickman has a great track record opening interesting, in demand restaurants (This one and Taco Azul have been longtime go-tos in Whitestone). Additionally G&L has a 2nd location with the same menu in Manhattan, which unfortunately for a Queens boy like myself is a bridge too far and a congestion pricing too high for me to make the trek.

It's been six years since I last came here. The food is still pretty good and the service was…read morefriendly, but overall I found the sandwiches a bit overpriced. The menu has very detailed, almost elevated descriptions that make everything sound spectacular, but in practice the flavors don't quite come through, especially the sauces, which are barely noticeable. Our server was flexible when we asked to swap the potato chips for fries on the kids' grilled cheese meal, which we appreciated. However, we were then charged $1.40 for a side of ranch for the fries. I understand they have a range of specialty sauces and dips that are clearly priced on the menu, but that still felt steep for ranch. They also offer a combo option to add fries for $5, but the portion doesn't really feel aligned with the price. The steak sandwich itself was surprisingly tender, even though it looked like it might be tough. That said, I couldn't taste the roasted red pepper sauce, and the "sweet onion jam" turned out to just be caramelized onions. My mother actually ended up picking them out because she doesn't eat onions. (she won't eat onions that she can see) The buffalo cauliflower was tasty, but could have been crispier. The "serves two" description also felt a bit generous given the small portion. I also ordered a brisket sandwich to go with fries. The coleslaw sounded great on the menu, but in reality the flavors didn't stand out, no real hint of jalapeño, just a fairly standard slaw. Overall, the food descriptions felt more impressive than the actual execution, though the to-go fries portion was more generous, which was a nice surprise. Would I go back? I'm not sure. Maybe for a casual visit with a few beers and fries with an assortment of dipping sauces...I am a sucker for those.

Just had to come back for the Angry Nonna Sandwich again at Krave It after the Yelp Food Pickup…read moreExperience few days ago. Took the Q13 Bus (which was fast) like last time. Staff greeting and welcoming you with a warm smile when you walked in. Ordered at the counter, would take 10-15 min to make the sandwich. Ambiance wise = Love the hipster comic-styled wallpaper. Super genuine staff and great service as well. Can pay with cash or card, but there's a small service fee being charged for card. Besides getting the Angry Nonna Sandwich ($15.50), also ordered the regular fries that came with spicy mayo ($6.53) + a Krave It pineapple pop soda ($3.96) to wash everything down. Staff brought everything to the table even though it was only self serve. 1) Angry Nonna Sandwich: The mildly spicy sauce was delicious and savory. Chicken parm was seasoned well and not salty. Bread could've been a little more crunchy imo. Portion size was plentiful and definitely enough for a full meal. 2) Regular Hand Cut Fries: So many widely-cut fries and more fries than I'd imagined for a single order. Worth it! Size wise was like those halal rice platter in aluminum foil container. I got full midway but still finished the whole thing. Fries were definitely freshly prepared and made. Could've been just a little bit more crispier. Spicy mayo was the perfect sauce to dip the fries in. 3) Krave It Pineapple Soda: Refreshing to taste with the sandwich & fries. Don't need a bottle opener to pop off the sodas. Just need to twist it off yourself. Easily done! Their sodas are made of cane sugar. The fizziness felt good against the back of my throat. I plan to keep going back whenever I'm in the area by myself or with friends. Would recommend this spot to other Yelpers, family and friends. They're opened to late hours everyday. Lastly, don't forget to tip the hardworking staff working there!
