Pork belly bahn mi and lumpia with a view
    Susan J.

Super stoked to come home for a visit and see this gem! Easily accessible in a central location in town, just look for the bright yellow truck. The pork belly bahn mi was delicious - great seasoning and cook on the pork with the perfect amount of toppings. Loved the hot sauce addition. The lumpia was delish ! Crunchy exterior and perfectly seasoned interior, with a tangy complementary sauce. Great job y'all! I'll be back to try more stuff.

Food was OK, but for the price portions were way small. Lower the price or increase portion size.

I ordered Pad Thai with chicken. It seemed to have a fair amount of chicken. However, the noodles, which were very plentiful, were dry and the sauce tasted more on the sour side. I like my sauce slightly on the sweet side. They give you brown sugar on the side along with crushed nuts and peppers, but I was afraid the sugar wouldn't mix well with the noodles being on the dry side. There was also very little in the way of green onion and no cilantro. There was a little egg. I ended up just eating a little of it until the chicken was gone and just tossed the rest. I see a picture of basil chicken on here that might be worth trying, but for $18 for the pad thai I was definitely disappointed. I would give 2.5 stars, but gave 3 in case maybe one of their other dishes could be better. The Crowe and Wolfe seltzer did not disappoint though! The hard lemonade selzer rocked!! And the ambience on a beautiful fall day to be able to sit outside at the brewery is always good.

My latest obsession!…read more I very luckily came across this food truck at gazebo gardens yesterday, and it instantly caught my eye as I love red curry. But since I had some recently, I decided to go with something different: the pork belly basil stir fry and OMG, it blew my mind. Amazing flavor, so much fresh Thai basil! The veggies were still crisp, the pork so tender, and such a generous portion! I haven't had something so remarkably tasty in awhile. I hope they come back to gazebo garden frequently, as I don't usually visit the other food truck hot spots. Cannot wait to visit them again, and I'm already debating internally if I should order the pork belly thai basil again or try something new. It's so good, do yourself a favor and check them out!

Staff was very genuinely friendly, nice and efficient. Ambience is so so cute! The restaurant is shaped like a merry go round and has awesome decor. Plenty of vegetarian options. They even have resident well behaved and very beloved pit bull 'blue' in residence. He does not bother diners. And accepts petting like a gentleman. Definitely worth the visit! On our second day as we asked around about restaurants, everyone recommended about merry go round.

My partner wanted to come here based on a write-up that mentioned the history of the building,…read morespecial soy sauce, and extremely kind staff. The staff was kind, and the building was cool, but that's where the charm ended. We walked into an obese pit bull literally sitting on a chair at the table, right next to where we got seated. There had been a sign out front saying there was a "service dog" inside with a picture of the obese pit bull in question, so I guess that's helpful but calling it a service dog really stretches credulity. I'm not sure what service the dog is providing for the owner who was not present until the end of our meal, at which point he paraded the dog around the tiny restaurant to greet customers. Another customer came in with a dog, too - apparently this tiny restaurant is teetering into becoming a dog park. I love dogs. I work with animals for a living. I am a dog owner and bring my dog everywhere I can, within reason and with the explicit permission of the businesses we visit. I do NOT appreciate a poorly-behaved pit bull, kept docile by virtue of his excessive weight, slobbering on a dining table. I do not appreciate dog dander in my food. But mostly, being in a family that used actual guide dogs - as in, dogs that were specifically bred and trained for YEARS by experienced professionals to assist their visually impaired handlers all day, completely ignore food and people that try to interact with them, and to tuck themselves quietly at their handler's feet at a restaurant, I'm put off by "service dogs" just moseying around a restaurant or sitting at a table with diners. It really does seem like this dog's main purpose is to hang out and be a restaurant mascot, which sure sounds like a health code violation. Dog dander aside, the food was basically on par with what you might order at any American-style Chinese restaurant. The orange chicken had a strong orange peel flavor, so it stood out. The rice was dry. I didn't notice anything unique about the soy sauce. The other items we ordered were unremarkable.

My friend and I both ordered summer roll (pork and lettuce wrapped in rice paper) and spring rolls (shrimp and lettuce wrapped in rice paper) at $12 for 4 rolls. The Vietnamese owner lady was very nice and let us order them as a mixture of 2 spring rolls and 2 summer rolls as one order. Freshly made to order. They look and taste very "home made", also on the smaller side compared to what I'm used to (lots of Vietnamese restaurants near where I live), and these rolls do not come with rice noodles as many others I'm used to. All that aside, we took our very first bite a few hours later and my friend immediately felt stands of hard thin strings in her mouth, and spitting out SEVERAL STRANDS of short hair, which is not the same color as her own long hair. Shocking. Very shocking. My rolls were just fine with no foreign substances, however the more we eat the more we are getting grossed out from the encounter...she didn't finish eating that roll with hair in it and continue to eat 2 out of the 3 rolls left and so did I, since we were both very hungry and it was our only food option during the long journey, but the whole time we were getting more and more grossed out and none of us ate the 4th last roll in our order. Payment: She accepts credit card or Venmo, but any other form of payment besides cash would be an extra dollar of up charge. Instead of paying $13 for a $12 item, we decided to scramble for cash to pay her. Location: One of three food trucks located in a dirt road parking lot with active large and live mosquitoes flying around attacking us while we order food and dine. A Mexican taco truck each to the left and right side of this Vietnamese food truck. Other: This lady owner says she's had her business here for 5 years now. Had wanted to try several items on the menu but already made a purchase with the taco truck to its right. Perhaps it's a good thing, because the sanitary and hygiene issue here is questionable. I hope she starts to wear a hair net when she preps food. I mean, I understand we all shred hair daily and she must of been working hard to chop the veggies and hand roll each spring roll...but we really don't need that evidence in the form of strands of hair in our food...
