My boyfriend and I have driven past this Chinese restaurant a dozen times on our drive to Mammoth and this time we decided to stop and enjoy a meal. The restaurant is spacious and decorated in traditional Chinese style decor. There was no wait and we were greeted immediately. Once we sat down we ordered appetizers and multiple entrees. the food came out piping hot and the flavors were delicious. We asked for hot sides to turn up the heat on our dish and were brought out multiple options. We really enjoyed the chili oil. We had a lot of leftovers and enjoyed eating them the following day. We will certainly back

Really nice surprise in Bishop. The place feels more upscale than expected, very clean and modern inside. Staff was friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious. Portions were generous too, so definitely worth it if you come hungry. Solid spot and I'd come back.

this is some of the yummiest chinese food i ever had- i cant believe its at a small town ! who knew! We are so happy we stopped by this lil gem for some food to go. We got their chow mein, mongolian beef, and orange chicken. they even threw in some spring rolls and their food is soooo good. The cashier who rang us up was also very nice. We cant wait to come back and get more food!

Salt and pepper squid. Must have. Nice crunch and flavor

Went here last weekends for some Chinese food and it was great. My favorite dishes were the salt and pepper squid, fried rice and noodle. The food wasn't too salty or oily. Will definitely eat there if I go back to bishop.

Came for the reviews it did not disappoint. We got the salt and pepper wings, the egg drop soup, the shrimp fried rice, green beans, Mongolian beef, and a side of 16 oz steamed rice. It came out to $78 and some change. It's not like super cheap it's a little on the higher end but the food was good and especially nothing really Asian around here. The egg drop soup was my least favorite, more watered down and not hot at all, it was like barely lukewarm. The green beans and monglian beef had a lot of flavor and not too greasy I'd recommend those two the most. The salt and pepper wings were good but it just wasn't hot enough, like it wasn't made fresh. Additionally the shrimp fried rice had a lot of huge shrimp and the rice was very flavorful but for almost $19 kinda meh. I'd come back if I'm on the road to Reno again. Nice stop. Service was good just kinda annoyed they didn't give me utensils and napkins. The place was nice and clean and looked kinda busy so that's nice.

First timers! We didn't try imperial gourmet but heard decent reviews about wonderland so decided to give it a try. Wasn't disappointed! Was skeptical because of the prices but was surprised at the big portions! So I definitely think it was worth it. The kung pao could be spicier but that's a preference. I'd rate that a 4/5. Could use more salt flavor but again, could be preference. Mongolian beef was the star! It was SUPER tender. Would definitely get again. Chicken lo-mein was a disappointment. No flavor/bland, but we added soy sauce and sriracha and it was fine. Overall 4/5 for bishop! Would def order here again. I was excited to see salt and pepper chicken wings. Wish they had salt and pepper pork chops and we would've gotten that as well!

Best Chinese food in town! Passed through Bishop on route to/from Lake Tahoe and knew we wanted to grab lunch here. The lunch specials include fried rice, a crab Rangoon, a vegetable egg roll and soup (hot & sour soup or egg drop). The portions are generous and filling. Orange chicken was crispy and well seasoned. The schezwan chicken is tasty. I liked that it was stir fried and not battered. It was not particularly spicy for me but I have a high tolerance. The war wonton came in a huge bowl, the broth was very simple but flavorful. Service was outstanding. Food was brought out relatively quick after ordering. We met one of the owners, Brian, and he was very nice and told us that they've only been open a few months. Workers were attentive without feeling like they were hovering. The dining room is spacious and has a nice ambiance with modern seating that still had the vibe of a family oriented restaurant. Great place for a date or family outing.

Good consistant service with great lunch specials. Good service with a smile and Chinese decor. This is a good choice for a reliably delicious meal.

It's a convenient spot for a quick bite, but there are a few areas where the execution fell short of the price point. I tried the Karaage Chicken Rice, and while the flavors had potential, the dish didn't quite hit the mark this time around. Meal Observations * The Chicken: The flavor of the karaage was decent, but the texture was quite dry. It lacked that signature juiciness you look for in Japanese fried chicken, making it feel a little over-prepared. * The Rice & Balance: Without much sauce or moisture to go around, the bowl felt a bit heavy and one-note. A bit more dressing or a fresher batch of rice would have gone a long way in balancing the dish. * Pricing: Being in the heart of the Village, you expect to pay a "resort premium," but for the quality of the chicken bowl, it felt a little steep. It's hard to justify the cost when the main component of the meal is underwhelming. The Upside * Convenience & Vibe: The restaurant has a great energy and the staff is efficient, which is perfect if you're looking to get in and out quickly between activities. * Service: The food came out fast and the team was friendly, making for a smooth overall visit even if the kitchen missed on this specific order.

Since I still had a craving for ramen after my Yamatani experience (they don't have ramen - though…read moreeverything else was perfect) I drove across town to squash the craving. Well worth the drive. Small ramen / poke / sushi restaurant with about 7 tables - seemed to be a lot of to go service. With the size, line going through the tables, fill your own water and bus your own table, there was enough disorganization it reminded me of a ramen bar in Japan. Japan is not disorganized, just as gaijin we have trouble processing their ultra-organized chaos. I went with the Gojiramen - spicy miso broth with pork. Miso broth was very well balanced with just the right amount of spice paste. All accompaniments went very well in the ramen with a nice amount of noodles and sprouts. Very well made bowl of ramen. My coworker had the Black Garlic and said it also had a nice flavor with a good amount of garlic. She also had the gyoza which looked as amazing as she said they tasted. Upset I didn't get offered one or order my own. Great stop if you're looking for a nice bowl of ramen on a cool winters night. Everything else looked amazing as well. What they give up in table service they definitely make up in flavor.

My friend and I both ordered summer roll (pork and lettuce wrapped in rice paper) and spring rolls (shrimp and lettuce wrapped in rice paper) at $12 for 4 rolls. The Vietnamese owner lady was very nice and let us order them as a mixture of 2 spring rolls and 2 summer rolls as one order. Freshly made to order. They look and taste very "home made", also on the smaller side compared to what I'm used to (lots of Vietnamese restaurants near where I live), and these rolls do not come with rice noodles as many others I'm used to. All that aside, we took our very first bite a few hours later and my friend immediately felt stands of hard thin strings in her mouth, and spitting out SEVERAL STRANDS of short hair, which is not the same color as her own long hair. Shocking. Very shocking. My rolls were just fine with no foreign substances, however the more we eat the more we are getting grossed out from the encounter...she didn't finish eating that roll with hair in it and continue to eat 2 out of the 3 rolls left and so did I, since we were both very hungry and it was our only food option during the long journey, but the whole time we were getting more and more grossed out and none of us ate the 4th last roll in our order. Payment: She accepts credit card or Venmo, but any other form of payment besides cash would be an extra dollar of up charge. Instead of paying $13 for a $12 item, we decided to scramble for cash to pay her. Location: One of three food trucks located in a dirt road parking lot with active large and live mosquitoes flying around attacking us while we order food and dine. A Mexican taco truck each to the left and right side of this Vietnamese food truck. Other: This lady owner says she's had her business here for 5 years now. Had wanted to try several items on the menu but already made a purchase with the taco truck to its right. Perhaps it's a good thing, because the sanitary and hygiene issue here is questionable. I hope she starts to wear a hair net when she preps food. I mean, I understand we all shred hair daily and she must of been working hard to chop the veggies and hand roll each spring roll...but we really don't need that evidence in the form of strands of hair in our food...

The barbecue wasn't noticeably better than what we've had at the chain Dickey's BBQ which is disappointing given the reputation on here and the price we ended up paying. The brisket was pretty dry even during dinner time and had no bark really. Then the loaded baked potato was also a surprise. It came topped with a large amount of diced yellow onions instead of green onions which if you have ever been to Texas and had BBQ out you know it is much more common, so that was weird. Also the shredded cheese was simply slapped on and wasn't even melted making it feel unfinished. The only good thing was their bbq sauce and the mac and cheese. It was creamy and the best thing we ordered. Overall we left very disappointed. We expected a much more memorable experience. given the ratings since we chose to come here over Copper Top.
