Brisket Plate - $1 extra for cornbread - Sweet Tea with Splash of House Lemonade

1 star for EXPERIENCE. I am not a fan of corners of cornbread. So i requested to switch it to a middle portion of cornbread. The young lady asked me what was wrong with the cornbread and I told her im not a fan of cornered things like cornbread or brownies etc. So she then said oh the portion you have they gave you 2 slices etc .. I told the lady I am not a fan of cornered corn bread. It's a diner preference. So this whole cornbread thing was a chaos. She got the boss lady involved now because the young lady before she went to the back and got the boss lady she told me if I were to switch to a middle piece of corn bread I will need to pay another $1 for a new slice while she takes what I have on my tray. WHO DOES THAT?!!!! WHO CHARGES ANOTHER PIECE OF CORNBREAD WHEN YOU ARE TAKING THE ONE FROM ME IN THE FIRST PLACE?!!! So then i had to clarify with the young lady LOL I asked her - " So you want me to pay another $1 for you to take the corner cornbread from my tray for you to replace it with a middle piece ?!" Now mind you this young lady had a fork and a to go container in her hands removing the cornbread from my tray LOL WHO DOES THIS TO A NEW CUSTOMER WHILE THEY ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF EATING THEIR FOOD ?!!!! Removing food thats been exposed from the diner and you as a employee removing food in front of a diner's face?!!!!! WOW. It caught me off guard cause I have never experienced that while dining out. Ever. So the boss lady came back with her asking me why and this and that about the cornbread. The boss lady asked me why I didn't mention it earlier to request a middle piece etc .. I assumed most cornbread are served in middle pieces and not corner ends. She mentioned the young lady was new when I had mentioned being asked to pay another $1 to replace the cornbread. The boss lady then said she had no problem replacing the cornbread of my request. Now get this. When they took my cornbread from my tray I thought to myself - a customer pays extra for this cornbread and after it being touched or exposed from me and mouth etc - they had the audacity to still remove it from my tray LOL most would leave that cornbread and handed me a new one right?! Nope. They took it away and the boss lady said upon giving me the new piece - " of I cant afford this and that etc" she pretty much stated she cant afford to leave me what i had on my tray and also give me a replacement. LOL This establishment must be struggling financially for boss lady to say that. Also when she handed me (boss lady) the replacement of cornbread - her long nails were touching my cornbread wearing NO GLOVES serving diners food with her long acrylic nails!!! The young lady asked me how was everything after a few minutes of me eating the food and I told her - The lady handed me my cornbread with her long nails touching my food. Let her know if the health department ever see that - thats not good. The taste of the food - Tad bit salty on the greens and brisket. Collards were fresh greens not canned i barely saw smoked meats in it but it was piping hot when served. Tender greens slight bitterness, tad salty - the collards were kind of similar tasting with Ms. Kims - The portions of the greens were ok. Enough to eat with the meat and mac & cheese. Mac & Cheese - it was dry tbh there was a cheese taste factor but I figured they close at 7pm? And I probably got the end batch of the day? It was not creamy or any cheese pull factor. Ms. Kim's or Homecoming or even Chick-fil-A mac and cheese is better imo. The Brisket - this was the one I was looking forward to trying and was slightly un impressed. Like I said maybe I came in probably towards the end of the day but no excuse if you are known for this in your menu. First of all the portions here for a BBQ place the portions are not big portions. Its "enough" LOL - For me they sliced it to 3 slices with it being each piece size of my palm. It was soft tender in the fatty centers but dried out in some areas of the meat it had a hard jerky type texture on some areas of the brisket. I didn't see a smoke ring on the meats. The meat was tad bit salty for my taste. I had to drizzle the house sweet bbq sauce to balance the saltiness. It was not the best brisket imo. It had a slight smokey flavor but the bits of pcs of hardened meat threw me off. The house made bbq sauce had a vinegar note in the end but for me it wasn't a sparkle sauce. I can get the same taste with Sweet Baby Rays. Banana Pudding was more a trifle than pudding. The sweet tea with lemonade tasted homemade - too sweet for me though. I should have gotten unsweetened with lemonade instead. I asked for a to go of their house lemonade. For me it tasted like country time with added fresh lemon juice - too sweet not necessarily tangy. It was ok. I have no plans coming back here just on the experience and the food was salty a mediocre for my taste. Mohawk Smokehouse will be my next BBQ spot I will need to try!

As someone who eats out often, it's hard to get wowed with food. This place is as authentic as it gets. Brisket was delicious, ribs were perfectly cooked and the beans... wow! We ordered a second side of beans. The staff were courteous and helpful, checking on our table to make sure everything was good. We were there for lunch and everyone there had such a nice vibe and tells you is family oriented place. Thank you for giving my family one more reason to come back to Orlando more often.

Well, we saw Uncle Tony's Backyard BBQ on Instagram, and my boyfriend and I were so happy we found this spot. The atmosphere was very welcoming from the moment we walked in. We got the "two meats and two sides" combo. We also learned that the lemonade and fruit punch come with refills. I usually don't even like fruit punch, but this one was so good that I made my boyfriend try it again! The lemonade was also excellent -- not overly sweet and not too tangy. They really make great homemade drinks here. The coleslaw was fantastic, and the green beans were cooked perfectly with great flavor. I had sliced brisket and pulled pork with both the house sauce and tangy sauce. Everything was delicious! The more we ate, the more we wanted to come back and try the rest of the menu. I also got the chicken breast with collard greens and mac and cheese. I'm saving some for tomorrow, but I already know it's going to be amazing! "Lastly, their prices are very reasonable, especially for the quality of food they serve. The value here is honestly amazing. Everyone there was so nice, and I think we even met the owner. We truly feel like we found the best BBQ spot! We loved the food so much that we took photos and sent them to our families. Super friendly people and fantastic food -- we'll definitely be back!

Have you ever had a "Hell Yeah" moment at an establishment? Well yesterday's visit was my moment. I couldn't stop saying it after each bite of food...lol! Friends of mine invited me and my son here and I'm thankful for them. It's a bit of a drive for me but it was worth it. The location can cause issue for parking but there is some overflow parking. They are popular so go early if you want a good selection of food. We went later on Saturday and they were out of a few things I wanted to try but I'll be back. This is a family owned business and service was on point! We met one of the owners and she was wonderful! I'm happy to continue supporting them. You can choose to take your order to go or dine in. Tables fill up quickly so it may be better to order to go if you're in a hurry. I ordered a 2 meat combo with spare ribs and chopped brisket. I chose 2 sides, Mac and cheese and collard greens along with garlic bread. I was in love at first bite! No sauce needed but if you choose to sauce you can't go wrong with any of their homemade sauces. My favorite was the extra hot and the vinegar based. The sides were on point in all areas. No complaints. My son got the same meats but got fried okra. It was the best okra I've had in a long time. Seriously you can't go wrong with anything on their menu. Run don't walk!

JB was super friendly and welcomed me in, took great care of me throughout the entire experience, and provided great recommendations. I was hungry so I did a brisket plate with baked beans, fried okra and cornbread. The brisket was good as is, but their sweet sauce was also good. The baked beans were amazing with lots of smokey flavor. The Okra had a nice seasoning to it, would be nice to add some kind of aoli or something to it but ranch is a good option to it as well.

Landed in Orlando, and I was hungry. I found this BBQ joint tucked into a strip mall off the road, surrounded by a used car dealer and a handful of auto shops. Parking was a bit dicey, folks were definitely taking liberties with the lines. I walked in during the lunch rush but had no trouble placing my order. The server and staff had a natural energy that kept the place buzzing and genuinely friendly. I went with the lunch combo, featuring spare ribs with a good smoky flavor and fork‑tender texture. For sides, I chose the seasoned shoestring fries and the green beans, also seasoned, which more places should do. Vegetables deserve flavor too. For sauces, I tried the tangy and the mustard. I'm not a fan of sweet sauces, so the mustard was the clear winner for me. The food was good, but the service was great. The server remembered my name and used it throughout my visit, which earned the place an extra bump from a solid four stars to a full five. Orlando is a city dominated by touristy chain restaurants. Uncle Tony's is not that. It's a local spot that makes you feel right at home.

The people are so welcoming! Their service was not too bad we did have a large group. The allowed reservations a week in advance which was awesome! The place is small but they got us all together which was awesome! The food OMG it was so goood!!!!!!!! There was not something I didn't like. The Dino rib only on the weekend was so fall off the bone yummy! The sides were flavorful and good! I would definitely go back and highly recommend!

Where do I start? This place is amazing! Our ribs, pulled pork, pulled chicken all so tasty and tender. The cornbread coleslaw and garlic potato deliciousness! Walk in and greeted immediately. Given the menu to view, ordered at the counter and brought to the table.

This is my favorite bbq spot in Orlando. I love the service here they always remember me and treat me so kindly not only me but every guest! They constantly check on each person and make sure they have everything. They have tons of sauces to choose from. Their meat is to die for! If you come you have to get the brisket for sure!!! I love to get their 2 meat combo with two sides. If you're a fry or tator tot lover the seasoning is 10/10. Banana pudding is top tier. This spot gets really busy!

Why 4 stars? Because the people were so nice, it was impossible to not have a good experience. --- --- --- A BBQ place with an amazing rating, only a few minutes from the airport? There was no easier decision in my life on where to eat on my way out of Orlando. Quickly scanning the reviews, I saw multiple people saying that the people here are super friendly, and that is a massive understatement. I cannot remember interacting with a nicer and more genuine group of people at a restaurant. I think at least 5-6 people came over to my table to check on me throughout my lunch, and while that might sound overbearing, they all did it in such an authentic way that made my entire time here so pleasant. As for the food, it's hard to judge BBQ when I come from Texas aka the mecca for all things BBQ. I'll get the negative things out of the way first. The sliced brisket was a rough one. Again, I hate being critical with how awesome these people were, but I think it's important to be honest. The brisket was not close to my favorite places in Texas. 2-stars. The only other miss for me was the vanilla biscoff cake. I like vanilla. I like biscoff. I like cake. But I could have done without this. It seemed to just be a super basic cake with some whip cream and biscoff drizzle on top. Another 2-stars from me. But the good news is that I enjoyed everything else. Spare Ribs: 4-stars. Good flavor and the perfect amount of tender. Mac-n-cheese: 4.5-stars. Just a solid rendition of mac that I'd probably order on every future trip to Tony's if I lived in the area. Cornbread: 4.5-stars. Pretty much everything you want in a good cornbread. Baked Beans: 5-stars. There was a subtle amount of sweetness to these that really hit the spot. And again, the customer service here was an easy 5-stars. I have no idea when I'll be back in Orlando again, but I'll be rooting for these great people from afar!

Arrived in Orlando and was looking for a place to eat lunch, looked at yelp and this place is one of the top lunch places in the area. Walked inside and they were crowded! Staffs are friendly and attentive! Upon entering we went to the line to order, their menu is not that big or overwhelming it was perfect with great selections. We ordered and paid $35 for two meals plus too. The place has a nice friendly ambiance. We sat down immediately to a two seater table. We loved every bite and my favorite was the mac and cheese and the chicken. Hubby's fave was the pulled pork and the baked beans. We also got corn bread for each one of us. It was good but q bit dry. Anyway, we will definitely be back if we visit again!

Being new to the area we were looking for a quaint small restaurant that had a down home vibe. Uncle Tony's fit the bill to a "T". We were met at the counter by LaShonda, who offered us a table and menu suggestions. Her suggestions were spot on for our appetites. Our orders were relayed to the Uncle Tony who expertly mans the "pit" and the kitchen and our food was brought out hot and delicious. Being from Texas we know our way around some BBQ, and we tip our Stetsons' to Uncle Tony's Backyard BBQ. The homestyle restaurant was clean as well as the lavatory to wash up afterwards. We stopped by this restaurant because we had an amazing experience. I ordered the baby back ribs, and I really enjoyed them. They were at the right temperature, tenderness, and softness. My macaroni and cheese was outstanding as well, and I truly enjoyed my meal. My friends ordered the brisket, and honestly, that was probably the favorite at our table. It was amazing and one of the best briskets I've ever had. The owner of the restaurant was really nice and made sure that we were attended to. Overall, I enjoyed the restaurant. The one negative, which is okay, is that they didn't have desserts, even though the food was so good. read more

When you walk in to this palce you get that lovely BBQ smell you want like as if you were driving by a BBQ smoker on the corner. The staff was friendly and helpful in picking a selection. Half Rack of Ribs- The ribs had a nice little bark to them. I did find the meat inside to be a tad bit on the dry side for my liking. The flavor was very good however without being overly smokey or artificial tasting. The Beans- I'm not sure what it is that they do to these, but these are delicious! They must be making these with just a bit more love. Mac & Cheese- This is the right Mac for a BBQ spot. It's like it's not trying too hard, but doing so perfectly. Super Cheesy, creamy, and oh so delicious. Brisket Philly Cheese- This was an interesting offering, something you just don't see often. It's chopped brisket, thick white American cheese, peppers, onions, mushrooms on a hoagie type roll with what I think is their tangy sauce. The brisket for me was once again a little dry, but overall the sandwich is very good and the cheese adds a nice salty creaminess to it. It's honestly a disaster to try and eat, but if the brisket was a little more moist it would be worth it every time. read more

I was was told that this is the new BBQ restaurant to visit in town, and after my visit, I shall spread the word and confirm that this restaurant is to be reckoned with as the best BBQ in the area! I came with my family and got the ribs and brisket, and my wife got the pulled pork sandwich. We got Mac and cheese, baked beans, and potato salad as a side. The Brisket was very tender and broke apart with each bite! I had it served to me lean and moist, adding one the BBQ sauces to the brisket amplified the flavor! The ribs were meaty and tender as well! The meat didn't fall of the bone, but the meat wasn't tough to chew off either. The macaroni and cheese was cooked to my preference as it was baked, and had melted cheese to go with the elbows of the pasta. The baked beans were sweet, and my wife who isn't fond of baked beans actually enjoyed them! My wife had the pulled pork sandwich that came with coleslaw and the coleslaw was a great co-pilot to the pork and didn't over power the sandwich. The pork was very flavorful and saucy for a messy sandwich, which in my opinion is the best kind of sandwich. My wife also enjoyed the potato salad and it had a good balance of ingredients. The service of Uncle Tony's is very friendly, and the food came out pretty quickly. The food had a very fresh taste and served at a hot temperature, that you still saw the steam comin g off of the food. I may have found my favorite BBQ restaurant in town that's worth driving out of my way! read more

Stopped by this place last night after a friend recommended it. It's a small place in a strip mall and nothing fancy form the outside. It was nice little place with friendly people working there. I got the brisket, chicken and pulled pork slider trio so I could taste everything. The brisket was on point and was my favorite. They also have some good Mac n cheese and their own bbq sauces were delicious. I'll head back and try the brisket steak and cheese next time. read more

Pretty good BBQ spot! I tried the pulled pork sandwich, Mac and cheese and baked beans along with the tangy and sweet sauce. My father tried the ribs brisket and hot sauce. The pulled pork was pretty good. It had a good smoke flavor with a light seasoning to it. Big beans weren't bad in the macaroni and cheese was really good. I tried my dad's brisket and it was fantastic. I also thought the Hot sauce was pretty good because he definitely had a kick of heat but was not overpowering! I will be back very soon. Hidden gem! Found this little place on the way to the airport. Had the brisket and pulled pork combo plate. All hot, tender and delicious! Crispy perfectly seasoned slaw and hot baked macaroni! The brisket was so juicy and with the hot bbq sauce, it was even better. The mac and cheese was mid but the collard greens were great! I will definitely be ordering it again. Everything about this place is exceptional, from the clean, warm environment to the friendly customer service. The food is the star, with pallet-pleasing barbecue and tasty sides. We sampled many of their sides: potato salad, collard greens, man n' cheese, green beans, sautéed cabbage, yellow rice, and baked beans. Everything was delicious. They have six or seven sauces to choose from: the mustard and vinegar are my favorite. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that we came later in the day, so they were out of fries and tater tots. Fortunately, the other sides were delicious. Uncle Tony's had a lot of great reviews before mine and they deserve them. Kind, earnest greeting and terrific food. Had the brisket/sausage combo and thought I'd only eat a bit since I'm on a diet. Couldn't stop myself ... so good I forgot to take a photo. I'll be stopping through here every time I fly into Orlando. It's an easy swing through on my way down town. Uncle Tony's has some great bbq. Brisket was awesome pork awesome chicken awesome. Pretty much everything in the pictures I took were awesome. Service was awesome as well. Woman behind the counter who I'm assuming was uncle Tony's wife was so accommodating. Probably the one of the best bbq spots I've had in central Florida. If your a tourist or a local this place is awesome and worth trying I guarantee you will agree and be a regular or want to stop by when you are in town. We are out of towners and had a craving for BBQ. Looked up Tony's and saw great reviews. I can tell you it did not disappoint. Nice and friendly as soon as we walked in. We were luck a beat the rush by a few mins. Ribs were perfectly done. Beans were tasty and smokey and got my cabbage fix to boot. The brisket was good, the ribs were o.k.. I.would have rated them 4 stars but I agree with some of the other reviews, they are charging too much for what is given. Why did it take me so long to come! I've driven by Uncle Tony's for years and never stopped in until today and thank God I did. Uncle Tony's BBQ was OUTSTANDING! We went on a Saturday evening around 5pm so a few items were sold out (collard greens, cabbage and another side) So keep in mind if you've got your heart set on something( come early). Ordered a variety of meals. Everyone had a favorite. My mom absolutely devoured the smoked chicken (leg and thigh). It was perfectly seasoned and smoked. My husband had the ribs and pulled pork. He said it was very tender and moist. My niece who's 9 had brisket for the first time and ate every last bite of her kids meal. She loved it and said she wants to go back soon! The customer service was exceptional! The lady at the counter was so patient and extremely friendly. In fact everyone working there was great. Everyone said "hello" and welcomed us in. Unkle Tony sure knows how to make some BBQ! Went here for dinner last night before my flight and was so glad I did. I ordered the sliced brisket, smoked chicken, corn bread, baked beans, fries and washed it down with a lemonade. The brisket had a lovely char and seasoning, and the flavor and moisture was spot on. I've had a lot of great brisket in my life, and this was definitely one of the better ones. The smoked chicken was so good. I don't normally get smoked chicken because it can be overly dry, but Tony's was perfection! I might have liked that more than the brisket tbh. The standout for me though was the beans. I was not ready for those to be that good. By far the best baked beans I've ever ever had. The little bits of brisket meat, the sweat tangy sauce, the spices. My mouth is watering just thinking about those beans! And to make it all the better was Unkle Tony himself. He is such a great guy and made me feel at home the whole time I was there, even calling me by my name asking if I'd like a refill or some more beans. I wish more business owners had the passion and love for what they do like he does. I will go out of my way to get food from Tony's any time I travel to Florida from here on out! read more

This is one of those places that you would constantly drive by and pay no mind, but I encourage you if you are around the area make sure to stop. The service was 10/10, food was 10/10 I could not recommend this place enough. If you love smoke bbq, this is the place to go. Feels just like the name says a backyard BBQ, the food came out fresh and hot. I had the Mac Daddy BBQ, with fries. I was a bit surprised that the burger didn't come with any side, but once I saw the size of it I could see why, I almost couldn't finish my fried. I finally stopped by Uncle Tony's BBQ after years of driving by, and I'm so glad I did! The food was outstanding, perfectly smoked chicken, tender ribs, and delicious brisket that even my 9-year-old niece loved. I work in the area and MUST get my Uncle Tony's fix at least twice per week. I love that the staff knows my name and always says welcome back Miss Debbie. The ribs are out of this world good and so is the Brisket Philly. The fried okra is perfect EVERY single time...very consistent (something that is very hard to find). The sweet mustard sauce is unlike any I have ever had...it is delicious! I wish I could give them 10 stars because they deserve everybit of it and more! Keep up the great job! read more
