I don't know what the green dollop on it was, but I assumed it was something like pesto (possibly). This is where I first tasted the house-made red sauce. It is seriously a wonderful sauce--thick and hearty, robust with intense flavor. We devoured it within minutes. My kids wanted pasta, and at $9 for a gigantic plate with a huge Italian meatball, you can't beat it. My daughter said it was the second-best spaghetti she's ever had in her life. It came with the red sauce that was featured in the fried provolone. I agreed it was one of the best, and it was 100% the sauce. My Chicken Piccata was superb. It had all the flavors I was looking for--savory, delicious, tender slices of chicken with fresh veggies in a light and tangy lemon-white wine sauce.
