The Tuna was cooked perfectly and was fresh and full of flavor, the plate was full of rice and slaw which complemented the tuna perfectly, the sushi roll was excellent and even though I can't remember the name of the roll the sushi menu is expansive. Edamame: This was pretty good and it was warm. It's not my favorite edamame ever but it is still good. I like the salt that tops it, but I do suggest adding a little more salt for an extra boost. Main Courses: Sesame Ahi Tuna: The portions in this were nice and large. The flavor was good and enjoyable. Grilled Mahi Sandwich: I got this and the flavor was delicious. It was cooked well. It came with fries and I suggest asking the kitchen to make them crispy because they were a little soft. Fish Tacos: These looked so good and the person who got them liked them! Recommended by a friend who lived in the area. We are from out of town and went for dinner with my husband, realized after the fact that reservations were required. An unexpectedly phenomenal meal. We had 4 tempura maki rolls (no judgment, please) which were warm on a bitter cold night and absolutely delicious. A little different, and the ones served with sauce were clearly designed to pair with their sauce and much better with a little sauce on them (though I am usually a hold the side sauce person). My husband's halibut was incredible. Excellent fish and some of the best prepared/grilled fish I have ever tasted. He called it sublime. Friendly, helpful staff; pleasant, low-key atmosphere. Spikes has a great mix of a fun experience and outstanding food. One of the staples of Warsaw in the summer, it is often crowded every night of the week with either volleyball leagues or a band. They recently implemented a new system to order on your own and it has made a huge improvement in the service. You get seated by a host and get to browse the menu at your seat. Once you have decided what you would like, there are order stations located throughout the restaurant that you can order at when you're ready. This has helped the speed of service of a place that typically can be short staffed- great idea!! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. At this particular visit, I had the KFC roll which is a philly sushi roll that is deep-fried with jalapeños. I have had almost every sushi roll and they are all amazing. If you're not a sushi lover, the pulled pork quesadillas are great as well as the mahi mahi sandwich. I would recommend Spikes to anyone coming to Warsaw in the summer! Tara was juggling 3 tables and made sure we were always taken care of. We ordered 6 Malpeque oysters on the half shell. They were sweet and fresh. The sesame seared tuna was pretty standard. The tuna was fresh and sweet, I would say that there were to many sesame seeds. It took away from the tuna a little bit. Holy cow the conch fritters take me back to Nassau Bahamas. The are crunch and spicy with chunks of Conch in the middle. Just great. I ordered the special of the night blue fish tacos, my wife ordered the grilled halibut over butternut squash. Noa Noa is a restaurant that stands out for the area it is in with a menu of fresh fish on display when you walk in the door. The staff appears more than capable, the patrons very comfortable and the flavors on the food were wonderful. I wish I could give it 3.5 stars which is what it feels like, but will round up to four and say you won't be disappointed eating there. Average entree prices for seafood are between $18 - $24 Sandwiches are $7 - $12 (chicken, pulled pork), sushi rolls range from $7 - $15. I'm here on business for the evening and had two people recommend it to me. At the end of an access road at the bottom of the hill from the Hampton Inn off Market St., I suggest that watch where you're going. Your GPS will steer you into the strip mall with the stores and coffee shop (which serves positively awful espresso and has all individually-wrapped cookies in the case. If you're looking for espresso here, it's Latte Art first and last.) but follow the road around. It shares a building with Spikes bar. I sat at the bar under Pam's care and you can always tell a professional barkeep. The tickets came in and she lined them up and knew where everything was. Her bar was no different than a great chef who knows where all his kitchen ingredients are. She had her mise en place *together*. It was under a Tiki-style awning in the company of a little coconut figurine who was my dinner date for the night as I'm away from home. The menu is a very Key West / Caribbean feel but they also have sushi which comes out of a separate kitchen area. Sushi chefs not Japanese if you have a cultural bias on the people making your maki. When you come in the front door of the restaurant, the kitchen is to the right. Open not by design but by function with no tables in view, you can watch the chefs working the line. There are also two cases in front of them holding the fish on ice and you can judge for yourself what looks good that night. Tonight I vacillated between the Grilled Hawaiian Spearfish with honey-rum coconut sauce and a Grilled Red Snapper with Island Spices (whatever those are, but I'll wager allspice is one), then brushed with a mango ginger glaze. In the end, I ordered the Spearfish. To bide the time I got a Caipirinha which was properly muddled. Dinner came with a salad and I opted for a lime tamarind dressing. It was thin like a vinegarette and could've used a little more stickiness, even if the lime and tamarind were properly balanced. The entree arrived properly timed with a good-but-not-daunting portion. I swapped out the rice for a grilled sweet potato and it came with grilled vegetables. The sweet potato was served open faced with grill marks with the fish laying on top of it. It was a tremendous presentation and one I plan to use at home. The vegetables were not overdone and the squash and zucchini had the proper crunch. There were also a few plantains sprinkled on the plate and a small wedge of grilled pineapple. I didn't really need the garnish served with the ubiquitous green leafy substance; the plate and presentation on their own were sufficient and it felt like it cheapened it with lemon wedges sitting atop it. The honey-rum coconut sauce was served in a small side container and was magnificent. It featured some surprising maple notes as well and had a consistency of honey. I dipped the fish in it and it stuck. It's the kind of stuff that would go great on a Hawaiian bread or some other sweetbread. Had I a single complaint, it was that the food was warm and not hot. I wasn't expecting to get my mouth burned, but it would've been nice to still see some steam coming off. Instead everything was edible on the first bite and didn't require cooling. Some may prefer their food more temperate, but the less hot it is, the more I think it sat in the window waiting to get run to me. Fort dessert, I opted for a glass of Pyrate rum on the rocks and their Jamaican brownie. The brownie was a manageable portion, not like a monster dessert that you stare at and contemplate the post-dinner pain that it will put you in to finish. It was billed with a cream-cheese frosting and I couldn't tell because it seemed almost like a two-layered brownie that was baked that way rather than an icing applied post-cooking. It was also served with a vanilla bean ice cream that was running all over the place. The ice cream had the appropriate vanilla flavor and visible vanilla bean traces, but had a hint of iciness. I would recommend in the future that it be served with the ice cream in a small container to make the presentation neater. Before dinner drink, entree, dessert and after dinner drink ran me $45 plus tip. I tipped at 20% because I felt Pam ran an excellent bar and was engaging and fun to talk with. If you're here on business or looking for a place to take a client out to dinner, you won't be disappointed. read more

From what I've heard, this place was pretty good, so I was excited to try it out. I went here with a group of about 15 people for a business trip. Everything was pretty much ordered for us so I'm not too sure about the prices or the items that was ordered. I remember that what I had was a little bit on the dry side but it was decent (I think it was chicken). The appetizer platter that we had was pretty damn good tho... it was a variety of bananas cooked up a number of different ways. Very tasty and I would recommend this place just for the appetizer. The atmosphere seemed a bit weird to me... it looked like they tried to put a tropical island feel to the place with some japanese influence... Being that it's in the middle of the plains, I really can't blame them for trying...
