So many beer choices! Kopacetic had a great selection of beer and Indiana spirits. From West Fork Whiskey to 18th Street Distillery, I loved seeing Indiana liquor also included in their line up! We tried a beer flight and I really enjoyed the seasonal "Spookly" pumpkin beer. Kopacetic is also attached to the Scoreboard restaurant, which is family friendly. We had some tots with 3 dipping sauces and my husband licked the cheese dip out of the container, so that should tell you something. The place had good vibes and while all the servers appeared to be new, they were all very friendly. I will be returning!

With a beer list this outstanding, ordering a flight is a great idea on your first visit.

You've got to love a good brewpub, and Kopacetic certainly fits the bill. I had a four-sample beer flight, several of which were really good. The beer list was fairly extensive, and there was a good variety of standards as well as off-the-beaten-path offerings. The food was okay, but nothing special. I'd think that offering some higher end food (I wonder which beer you'd pair with a fettuccine Alfredo or a lobster bisque?), in addition to the very affordable pub grub, would help draw a wider clientele. Monticello in general is certainly a vacation and recreation destination, and offering something to people who want to spend a little more on a great meal seems like a really good idea.

Meaty buffalo wings, hot-n-spicy, just like those summer nights in Monticello, Indiana. These were the top menu item of our order.

Overall four stars. In a unique building, cool environment, pub-ish menu with pizza, and decent beer selection heavy on the dark beers. I had the house IPA, good but not great. I heard the pizza was amazing, and while it was good, I found it lacking enough toppings. Another cup of cheese or few more green peppers would have rounded out the pie. Best food item was the meaty wings, and fairly spicy too. The wait time for the food was longer than I think it should be. Maybe just bad timing on our part. Fun tables cut out of gym floor. Strange feeling, but the tables were too big by 18-24 inches. Felt like I was too far away from the other half of our dining party.

Just across the river from Monticello is a relatively new brewery. In the two years they've been in business, they have an impressive variety of beer to choose from. Since they have so many, I decided to go with a flight and sample a variety. Flights are served with four selections for $6 (great price!) Here is what I tried: Ski - America Hefeweizen (4.2% ABV, 12 IBU) - a decent Hefe. Smooth taste, but not as balanced between the banana and clove flavors that I love. Waist Deep - Saison (5.3%, 24) - a bit darker (almost orange) than I expected with a bit of hops. Very smooth. Pendulum - Stout (6.6%, 23) - classic stout with a bit of dark chocolate/coffee taste Dr Hopenstein - American IPA (8%, 78) - a well balanced IPA that is full of hops, but not overly bitter. High alcohol content, but again, the balance made the alcohol less noticeable. Frankly, I was surprised it had that much! The space for the brewery is a little dark and the volume is a bit louder than I prefer (mostly music). There is a patio with picnic tables outside for those who would like that better. For food, the owners also have a family restaurant next door that you can get a variety of food options. Service was friendly and let me know about the history of the brewery/restaurant while I was tasting. Overall, a nice flight of beers, though none stood out as Best of Show. A solid 4 out of 5 for me. Review #2761

Stopped here for an afternoon of drinking. As shown in the pic, the hours are 4-10. There just happened to be a employee in the parking lot. When we pulled in he said"we're closed". I was like damn, the site said you were open. He shittily said "maybe you should check the web site". No shit, I did. As you can see by the pic 4-10 are the hours. I didn't need the crappy attitude. And I did my due diligence to make sure I had the correct hours. So much for bringing my buddy and the 12 people there to partake in their business. This place had been hit and miss. Not sure if we will return or recommend you guys to anyone after this experience. Fix your hours on your web site also post it on your Facebook. Truly disappointed in this attempted visit. If this was me of your main employees, he can eat a fat one.

Great place to stop for beer and pizza! One of the best pies I have had in a while. Beer tenders are nice also.

Having a great time at Kopacetic! Love this place!

This review does not include Scoreboard restaurant that is part of the same building. We visited on a Saturday afternoon. The location is easy to find and shares a gate with a mini storage complex. There is a plenty of parking. I had passed this building many times and always thought the old Highway Dept building was cool and wished something would go in there. Well, Kopacetic is there!!! The building has a lot of charm. If you went to an elementary school built in the 50's, you will recognize he type of bricks and tile floor on the interior, in a good way. It is located in the old Highway Department garage and has a great industrial feel. We sat at the bar and were served promptly. All of the beers, wines and liquors are from Indiana and as of this pst weekend, they had one of their beers, a Stout, on tap. I look forward to coming back and trying more Kopacetic beer. I had the 450 North Prescription Pils out of Columbus and the Preachers Daughter Amber from Fountain Square. Both were great choices for me. Sat inside and enjoyed some conversation with the locals and then moved to their outside area. The homemade chairs outside were not the most comfortable but being outside made up for that. Highly recommend this place for the atmosphere, the company and the beer. Hope to come back and try out the restaurant some time.

    Great beers at this place!

Great new location in Monticello. Many craft beers to choose from and the staff is great with suggestions. All beer is locally made in various Indiana towns. I have ate dinner there two times and each time the food service was very quick. I think they are operating on a somewhat limited menus, which hinders choices if you want to have a meal with the craft beers. Hopefully they will expand it soon, only docking 1 star due to the lack of choices on the menu. I think it will be a great hangout all summer long!!

No, it's not dog friendly. Employee Sean said the health dept won't allow them to have animals where they also serve food. Huge bummer.

It came with three different sauces: beer-infused mustard, tangy barbecue and creamy horseradish. I could have just sat here and ate charred pork and drank beer and I would have been happy. We also got a Caesar salad, which was OK but would have been a bit better if it came dressed -- the dressing came on the side. The wedge salad was good but was less of a wedge and more of a regular salad. Fenwick Farms has a kids menu, which features things like cheeseburgers, buttered noodles, chicken strips and other kid-friendly foods. Each kids meal comes with a side and a dessert (ice cream sundae), although we didn't get our ice cream, but it was fine because my kids didn't need anymore sugar that day. Speaking of kids: They have free arcade games to play! My kids played Pac-Man and NBA Jam while we waited for our food. The Fenwick Farms Brewing Co. beer is made right here at the brewery, and this is the first and only craft brewery in Rensselaer. They have 30 different beers on tap (most their own, some guest beers), and they offer flights. Indiana knows how to do craft beer, and FFBC is another great example of great beer.

If I could give negative stars, I wouldn't hesitate--I'd be digging for a minus-five option…read more Last night at 1056 Brewery started off exactly how you hope a night out with friends goes--great company, lots of laughs, even a little bingo thrown in for fun. Unfortunately, that perfect evening didn't just take a turn... it drove straight off a cliff. Seven of us ordered appetizers and full meals, and everything hit the table looking and tasting great--except for one unfortunate burger that was so thoroughly charred it could've doubled as a hockey puck. Our friend tried to power through it (because who wants to complain?), but eventually realized it just wasn't edible. They politely asked if it could be remade or replaced. Simple enough, right? Wrong. About 20 minutes later--after everyone else had finished eating--we weren't met with a replacement, but with what I can only assume was the owner, who approached with an accusatory tone that immediately made the entire table uncomfortable. Instead of resolving the issue quietly, she marched back from the kitchen holding the same burnt burger and presented it like courtroom evidence, as if we were on trial for daring to send it back. At that point, we were all sitting there in disbelief. Was this really happening? Then came the comment: essentially suggesting that next time, we should say something before eating most of it--despite the fact that our group had spent plenty on food and drinks and clearly wasn't angling for a free burger. The implication alone was enough to sour the entire experience. To "fix" things, she offered to comp the burger (which we had already declined) and, as we were leaving, handed over a $20 gift card--as if that could somehow erase the awkwardness, embarrassment, and frankly rude treatment we had just experienced. It couldn't. What should have been a minor kitchen mistake turned into a bizarre and uncomfortable scene, all because of how it was handled. Mistakes happen--burnt burgers happen--but treating paying customers like they're trying to pull one over on you? That's a choice. It's a real shame, because the night had been so enjoyable up until that moment. But after witnessing that level of unprofessional and unpleasant behavior, it's hard to imagine returning. Do better. Seriously.

The brewpub is cozy and inviting and their beer is amazing, but this review is a testament to their outstanding customer service. We live just outside of Chicago, so it took me a little over an hour to get there. When I got there I was greeted by Jason who helped me put together an awesome box of beer, a t-shirt and a snifter. I had explained that my boyfriend had a snifter, but it broke while he was washing it. Jason grabbed another snifter, wrapped it in tissue and said "tell your boyfriend, Merry Christmas from all of us at Four Fathers". I thought that was really awesome! I get home later on and am going through the box when I noticed that a bottle I had bought at the last minute was inadvertently missing from the box. So the next day, I sent a message to Four Fathers on Facebook explaining what happened and got a quick response from Kim apologizing for the mix up. She said I could come in anytime and pick it up. Since we live over an hour away, popping back in wasn't an option for me. She messaged me and as luck would have it, they were going to be in my area looking at a truck and we could meet. Unfortunately, I couldn't make it, but she offered to have her husband bring it to me another day while I was at work. Again, my schedule conflicted with our meeting so I asked if he could just leave it in my mailbox. I sent her my address and later that day I had my missing bottle of beer! There's not many businesses out there that will go that extra mile for their customer. This was beyond an extra mile. Not only does Four Father's have a great product, but they have great people working for them as well.
