Big shoutout for our driver Clint. He was very knowledgeable of the area and gave us so many nice recommendations for our next visit. He checked up on us to make sure we were good (but did not bother us), took very nice pictures for us, and showed us a few landmarks that were not a part of our tour during our drive. His car was clean and nicely stocked with cold water and his driving is 10/10 (even with windy roads we did not feel sick at any time). It was nice to not worry about driving or potential DUIs. Although it would've been a lot cheaper with a group of 4, we felt Clint made our tour worth the $. Ok, I normally don't write too many reviews and certainly not in depth ones but I have to review Uncorked & Captain Clint, our driver, because of the truly above and beyond service we got! We had my sister's bachelorette party here in Paso and we needed a driver this past weekend. Booking with Katie was super easy and Katie was really great and flexible. I had to change both the number of people and the itinerary a few days before our trip and Katie was able to do both no problem. We also needed somebody for essentially 12 hours. Katie said they could do it, and Clint did. Wow. Also the price structure was better than anyone else and their fleet was in very good condition. There were seven of us this weekend and we were in a very comfortable van (so comfortable we all fell asleep for a few mins). Ok, that's the good stuff. Let me get to the great stuff; CLINT. Wow. I mean, WOW. The night before he picked us up, we had a nightmare Airbnb situation and had to change Airbnb's (ergo address location) last minute. He confirmed the new address and was here to pick us up early even. Now, let me tell you some of what he did for us the whole day, aside from providing a very comfortable, safe driving experience. Ok, first of all he is just the NICEST man and we raved all day about him and how great he was. He also had a captain's hat (hence Captain Clint), and that's minor, but we loved it. So, he called ahead at restaurants without me even thinking about it, if were running late, and made sure they could take us. He checked us into places so I didn't have to deal with it. He had water for us constantly and it was in the 100's. He very professionally helped us in and out of the car as we were all in long dresses. We were also told some really cool stories about local places (he was the Fire Marshall in the area for years so he just knows all the most interesting tidbits.) He carried these large posters for us into and out of the wineries and carried our wine bottles for us, to boot. He took pictures of us and especially (very, VERY nicely) kept us on time so that the schedule we made could work out. He showed us great picture opportunities that weren't even on my radar. He was also just in constant communication via texting etc. with us so that we literally never waited even a minute for him anywhere. And he ended up being with us 14 HOURS. That's above and beyond. He just put in so much effort and we all felt so comfortable with him. Everyone said he helped to make the experience what it was and my sister's day was just seamless because of his efforts. I truly could not have asked for anyone with a better personality or greater skills. Clint is just THE BEST. We have still been talking about how amazing he is today and how much more difficult everything would have been without him. In fact, everyone was laughing saying how much they missed him today lol! Everything with him, even the paperwork in the morning and the checkout process at night, was SO EASY. Our biggest regret was we realized we didn't take a single picture with him in it and we would've liked to have had that memory since he really contributed into making our celebration great. Alright, if you've read this far, then I know you're doing as much research into services as I do. Book Uncorked. Seriously. You won't regret it. I don't. I used them two years ago and I decided to use them again. That was the best decision and I am most certainly going to use them in the future (and I know 6 more people who for sure will too cause quite frankly, we were all just blown away; 14 Hours of incredible service you guys!) Talk to Katie, she's great, and request Clint; you'll have an amazing trip. There's no way it could be any less than stellar with him as your guide. I know these reviews are polarized, so I quite often take them with a grain of salt, but if I may say in this one case, don't do the same with this review. In August my 8 girlfriends and I used Uncorked Wine Tours for our friend's bachelorette and had a BLAST!!! The owner Katie made the planning super easy and recommended three stops for our day that ended up being the most perfect itinerary ever. We started at a new-ish winery Rangeland, where we tasted wines on their lawn next to a beautiful pond. The wine was amazing and the setting maybe even better. Then off to Daou where there was more hustle and bustle and of course, beautiful views and great wines. Then finally to a new distillery for cocktails. We couldn't have planned the day better and I can't wait to use Uncorked again to see what other stops Katie would recommend! And the whole process of booking, meeting up with our amazing driver Shelly and going from stop to stop was seamless. The van was super comfortable and the AC was kick'en! I can't say enough good things about this company. Katie, the owner put together an outstanding Itinerary. I knew which wineries I wanted to visit but she made all the arrangements and was very easy to work with. I made a huge mistake but Katie fixed it for me. Our driver was Art. He was accommodating on time and went out of his way for me. I absolutely would use this company again. This was a birthday weekend for me and I brought along two friends. The wineries of choice were Eberle, Copia, LXV, and Bushong which we did on our own but wanted to recommend them. With Uncorked we did Onx, Monochrome, Barton for lunch and Caliza, Mc Price Meyers, Le Cuvier with the food pairing, Bodga de Edgar, and TOP. I chose all the wineries but Katie scheduled them for us. She has made repeated errors with payment/which credit card to use and doesn't take ownership for any errors. She still owes me over $700 due to her mistakes. Her communication is poor, her business practices are shady and her complete lack of ability to take care of her customers is pretty disgusting. Hey Katie, when you screw up try taking responsibility for it and provide some sort of compensation rather than BEGGING NOT TO HAVE A BAD REVIEW ON YELP BECAUSE YOU "DEPEND HIGHLY" ON THEM. update: your wording in your response is very creative. The overall experience was exceptional. Our driver Michael was informative, helpful, polite , friendly and above all a very nice person. Until I read the reviews for the business I was going to do the Uber / Lyft routine. We were sure glad we didnt go that route. I booked with Katie within a week of my stay at Paso Robles. She got us all my top choices of vineyards including Daou! I was surprising my husband 40th birthday, just the two of us. Deanne was our awesome driver! And she was exceptional! She kept us on schedule to all of our reservations without being too pushy at all. We would actually get excited knowing she was walking over to us, to scoop us up to our next adventure. She played our music of our choice and all of our conversations were pleasant and fun while driving. We had the pleasure of driving in the cool Retro van. Very clean, & spotless. This company is all about customer service and providing the best possible experience possible! We had a group of 6 girls in Paso for a bachelorette, and the weather was very questionable. (more rain/possible flooding expected). Bachelorette Party duties are no joke. And finding a business that will 1) work with a bachelorette party and 2) can actually handle the personalities that come with a bachelorette are few and far between. Luckily, my good friend recommended Uncorked as the perfect option for both. Katie was extremely kind and friendly and was extremely quick to respond to all my (MANY) emails. I also appreciated that she would work with me via email since my schedule is so packed. I provided Katie with my ideal itinerary and wineries we wanted to visit, and she handled the rest. She even handled the food orders. What was exceptionally nice about hiring a service was that they kept our group on task and on time. It can be a tough job wrangling a group of 14 girls fueled with wine, but our driver did it with ease. Fantastic service, super comfy vehicles, and great driver, Art. Was wonderful to have Art take care of navigating and driving, and none of us having to think about how much we have had to drink with tastings. He picked us up and dropped us off at the hotel daily. He took us to each winery, and to a lunch restaurant we chose one day and brought us bag lunches the next. At each winery, he would come check on us about half an hour before we would need to be thinking about moving on to the next stop. We visited only 2 wineries a day, took our time. We had a great day. Our driver Chris gave us great information, helped us with everything. We needed to add an urgent trip to a pharmacy and he was more than accommodating. We enjoyed our three wineries but the best winery was the one that came up in a random conversation and we added that unexpected stop which was the highlight of our trip. Thank you Chris! We purchased the picnic lunch as none of the wineries we planned seemed to have a lot of food options. The picnic lunch was much better than we had anticipated! It was delicious and huge too so I think next time I would split the picnic with another person and then get olives and little plates and stuff they have on some of the menus. We also made our special stop at Pasolivo to taste Olive Oils. We love that place. If you are into olive oil be sure to include it on your trip. read more
