We walked over to take a look and happened to chat with one of the owners. I returned the next day (today) and my timing was impeccable as I met the other owner, Chelsi. I then decided to do a "drop in" workout for just $10.60. I used the stair climber, free weights, benches, and bike and got my sweat on and my energy out. You'd be surprising how stressful a pickleball tournament can be as a parent ;) There were a few other folks working out while I was there, but the facility is so large, I felt like I had it all to myself! This is such a great concept... I wish I had one closer to home. I would absolutely be a member if I were closer. It's super affordable, has top of the line equipment, and you can come and go as you please... 24 hours a day! The website says that the mission at Elite Fitness is "to empower individuals of all fitness levels to achieve their health and wellness goals by providing 24-hour access to a safe, supportive, and results-driven environment. We are committed to offering clean, high-quality facilities, professional service, and a culture of respect, motivation, and continuous improvement." I would say they are off to a great start! Make sure to test with door locked to avoid possible subsequent issues 2) bathroom stall was out of toilet paper, so hopefully some more can be stocked up. His curiosity and enthusiasm made the experience even better. The facility was spotless and as well-equipped as any gym I've ever been to. They had top-of-the-line equipment for just about any training style--powerlifting, bodybuilding, CrossFit, Functional Patterns, and Knees Over Toes. On top of that, they offered an infrared sauna and a cold plunge. Next time I'm in town, this gym will definitely be at the top of my list.

I recently found…read moreout the beloved couple who have taken care of the wall for the past 5 yrs are no longer there b/c of hardware (caribbiner) failure that caused one of them to fall 15'! You'll notice the gym suddenly has new harnesses and no longer use caribbiners for the climber to clip in. The caribbiner choice was Manger John Burkey's who wanted to save money. The question is now whether or not the wall is safe to lead climb. Its hardware has been there for over 35yrs and apparently management is still too cheap to call in a 3rd party to inspect and update it.

They have very reasonable memberships that worked great for us and our budget. The gym itself is a little on the smaller side, but it still has everything you need for any type of workout you are trying to complete. The gym offers a variety of classes as well (I've still been meaning to check out a yoga class). The one thing I miss about a larger gym is a pool, but I would take this gym over having an over chlorinated pool any day. The staff is very friendly and keeps the gym very clean. Which is appreciated after members crying fat haha. If you're looking for a good gym in southwest Boise, check this place out. The lack…read moreof contracts or forced commitment combined with the brand new gym build at the new Eagle Rd location basically made this zero risk. The place is very nice, clean, and well stocked with equipment we are interested in using. One more thing that really tipped the scales was the on-site sauna access. Only two of the Idaho Fitness Factory locations in the valley have sauna access (both men and woman have separate saunas). The sauna is good size and sits around 195F which is a temp that works well for us. Highly recommended, and would suggest you stop by and check it out.
