Called for tech support and Derek talked me through a system trouble shooting which indicated the main bix was okay, but the underwater cable and bulb had failed probably due to external forces i.e. fish hook, parrot fish, etc. He ordered a new cable and bulb and had shipped to me. When I moved to my house on the water, I was thrilled that there was an underwater fish light. The fish on the river go into a feeding frenzy! Sadly, the light burned out. I figured it was likely just a burnt out bulb, so I called for advice. I was walked through a basic test sequence and the conclusion was in fact a burnt out bulb. This company was able to pull up data from the previous owner, and they knew what parts I would need. They also said that the burnt out bulb was about 6 years old, which is pretty good given that the river freezes, thaws, has three foot tides, and about 12% salinity. The replacement wasn't cheap, but when it arrived (just a few days after ordering), I saw just how well made the system was. I was given advice about how to install it so that I lessened the risk of breaking the brand new bulb, and it now works perfectly! While I don't know much about the competition, I must say that I am happy with this device and the service the company provided. I may install a multiple light system later, and I will get it from this company. read more

I've had my fish light now for a year and it has performed very well. The staff in the office is exceptionally attentive and the owner is very knowledgeable. He'll walk you through everything you ever wanted to know about attrating fish. Also, the tech that came out was very competent, made recommendations on where to place it and did a top notch job on the installation. Warranty is Worthless - I am on my 2nd brand of underwater fish light on a saltwater canal and these guys gave me what I thought was great advice and protective product to prevent people puncturing the wire with a fish hook. Well, I am now on my 3rd underwater fish light brand. Even though it had the protective sleeve, they said it was a fishhook 1 foot from where the sleeve ended. The unit had been in the water less than 15 days and the date of purchase was well within 90 days. Also, the sleeve protected 15 feet from the bulb and the light was at the very edge of my dock. There is less that 1 foot of clearance under my dock during normal tide swings, sometimes 24 inches, sometimes 0. Someone would have had to cast 15 feet under the dock with less than 2 feet of clearance. They offered no other solution or willingness to share in the costs. So I had to pay $100 to get back what was left of my cable and a new bulb. I had to pay for shipping to return the product. On my last unit, the fish hook was stuck in the cable and I could clearly see the issue when I pulled it up. There was no hook in the cable when I pulled it up. Very shady warranty claims, I would ask for evidence and inspect everything before you return it and take pictures. I fully examined mine before returning but they refused to consider it. The other thing to consider is that they should have waterproof cable which has a filling in it that even when a puncture occurs, prevents water from getting into the bulb. This seems like common sense to seal the cable at the bulb. My recommendation is to cover the entire length of the cable by unplugging it from the box (Which they say voids the warranty but the minute I called them to talk about sending it back they told me to just unplug it.) Run it through a length of tubing with a 5/8 ID and then you should have zero puncture problems. I am interested to hear back because they were not at all interested in speaking to me at the time or providing any evidence of a fish hook puncture. The only reason I did not give it a 1 was that they are very helpful in the office. I stopped in to buy my last light and they were helpful and gave me lots of hints on placement. Got a response stating the obvious. They state in the warranty clearly they do not warrant against damage. They perform detailed inspection of the cable. Not sure that makes sense. If the puncture happened in the cable why was the section returned to me not wet as well? Again. Read the warranty clearly and make sure you understand the harsh environment you are dropping this into and the fact they do not warrant the product. We can go on forever. read more

Great light! Ours lasted several years and we would recommend these for anyone who has a dock. We're getting another one!

I researched for several months for dock lights, finally selecting UFL 2 bulb system. The system has been flawless, a crowd pleaser every night. I travel a lot for business (not now w covid-19) and when I returned from a business trip one of the bulbs was out. With several attempts to troubleshoot with Tommy, we found the bulb was bad. I bought a replacement - then that bulb stopped working. Again lots of testing again and Tommy replaced the bulb. Great product with the best support! read more

I bought a 2 light set up from Underwater Fish Light LLC about 18 months ago after a friend recommended the product to light up my canal where I live in Islamorada -aka The Florida Keys. We had previously enjoyed the neighbors lights which attract the small fish and then the monster Tarpon move in to eat the little fish. Anyway, the owner of the company dropped off the box which included everything i needed to light up my fish, even the zip ties and rubber covered weight to secure each light to the bottom. I had the system up and running in less than an hour. These lights recently survived Hurricane Irma but then stopped four weeks later. I emailed the company and John, the owner replied immediately. Over the phone we went thru a troubleshooting procedure and found one of the bulbs broke. I ordered another bilb and cord from their offices on Monday and had a replacement bulb and cord on my front porch by Tuesday afternoon. Just incredible. I can't remember the last time I received service with a smile like this. You'd think I was a relative of his but he treats all of his customers this way. Needless to say, I can't wait to reinstall my 2nd bulb (currently running on 1 bulb after removing the damahed bulb thanks to John). These lights provide hours of pleasure watching our snapper and needlefish as well security as they light up my boat. Thanks again John and your staff for lightng up my dock! Doug read more

We have been looking at these lights for a few years now and finally moved East and on the water and bought the set of 4. We are addicted to going outback every night and looking at the fish in our backyard. Heidi at Underwater Fish Light was so helpful when we purchased the lights and told us how easy the set up was and she was right, we set the lights up NO problem. So called today, after owning multiple systems from them, having boasted about how "great" this company is. Well, NOT ANYMORE , all warranty issues are at shipping expense of customer. This was not the case previously.I have had 3 warranty issues in the past & all were quickly efficiently taken care of. Derek has explained to me that I need to get a box, pull my light , take it to UPS etc, pay for the cost of shipping & they will make a determination if it's a warranty issue or not. Derek explained this is there procedure, I explained that I am the customer & have a different procedure. So now they have an upset customer vs. one who touted them to my friends in the past. Best line was I AM THE ONLY PERSON EVER TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THIS Someone needs to explain to management the cost to ACQUIRE a new customer rather than the cost to make one happy, in this case probably about $10.00 in shipping costs. read more

Underwater Fish Light is an incredible company! My husband and son rely on the portable Underwater Fish Lights that they purchased for night lobstering and shrimping in the Florida Keys. They place them by suction to the sides of our boat, easily hooking them up to battery to last all night long! The green underwater Fish Lights reflect on the aquatic creatures eyes making them appear red. It's very easy to spot them in the dark!
