It's a specialty store, they have what you need and they have it here in your community. Get over the price! Finally, went to the store in Punta Gorda yesterday. It was staffed by two children. I know, makes me sound like an old guy, which I am, but still these two very young people with absolutely zero boating knowledge provided absolutely zero help. At least the young man stayed to listen to me ask questions which he couldn't answer, while the young woman simply walked away as I approached. The owner Jeff greeted me right away and then spent the next 30 minutes asking questions and listening to me as I told him where I was fishing (off the dock) and checking out the rod and reel I had been using. He was patient and took his time with me even when another customer came in. He set me up with the correct fishing line , hooks and lures. He even took the time to show me how to correctly tie the right knots to tie for the lines. He even gave me his card with the phone number in case I had any future questions. Supporting locals businesses is crucial and I can promise you that I won't buy anything related to fishing anywhere but Captain Ted's Tackle. That's a promise.
