    Beer Flight
    Leah R.

The flights are a great deal! $15 for 5 4oz samples. The menu has so many options which is my biggest reason for giving stars! I loved being able to try them all. For instance, there is a classic kölsch but then two other flavored ones. I'm warming up to IPAs and the unexpected IPA was very good! the service was quick since we only had beers and you order at the counter but the staff was nice and helpful in recommending beers. Would be interested in coming back for food, food trucks, the games, and outdoor patio. so much to try !

Great place for beers and trivia! Love that it's within walking distance of my house. I go here almost weekly and the service is always quick and friendly. The beer is good, though I wish they had more variety with lighter beers (my wife only really likes sours and they usually only have 1 on tap). I'm not really sure what's going on with the food situation, but they usually either have a food truck or allow food from the outside, so it's not a problem with a bit of planning.

Stopped here after the Tour Detroit Bike ride for a flight and some food. Unfortunately they just had bagged snacks but fortunately they had fantastic craft beer. Not a bad or average beer on the flight. We also were able to get a pizza from Cat Zaddy's pop up kitchen near the back of the brewery. Free rear lot parking. Bar/low/high top seating. Wifi. Clean. No table service. Order your flights at the bar and take them to your table. no table service and no kitchen should knock it down a star but it is really about the beer right? I would return to try some more of their great craft beer.

Friendly staff (one of which was brewer). He was obviously very knowledgeable about the beer so that was awesome. Patio for dogs if you want to bring pets. You have to go in to order though. Nice and open- got busy and it was hard to check out- and think everyone is getting used to things. Tasting flights available for $15. Flavors are bold and as brewer said "you like it or not." Plenty of swag available for purchase and growlers to go! It's in the new Oak Park "area" for wandering and drinking so you can hit dog and Pony and or Oak Park social. They plan to have pizza, pretzels, and nachos. They also plan on getting online ordering system for grabbing your drink! Kolsches my fave! Regular and coconut! Oddly (since not my thing) really liked peanut butter porter also. Nice that Oak Park finally has spaces like this and is making it easy for people to enjoy them!

This is for their 'soft opening.' This is a very nicely rebuilt industrial space in the repurposed Oak Park industrial strip which also contains the cocktail bar and other brewery in a combined social district where you can wander with booze. Huge shared free parking lot. Patio. They do not yet have but are planning Pizza/pretzels/snacks from a kitchen area. They will aso schedule food trucks outside. Great friendly staff and brewer. Great beer selection boards. They will add table service and games later. 18 beers on tap. 5 of them are awesome, 8ish more are good. The rest are not good. The pils in particular tastes like garbage.

Cannot wait to return with friends! It's a lovey space, with ample free parking out back. A nice outdoor seating area is fenced it out back as well. We chose one of several seating options within. Long tables, or small tables are available for a group or Jim it's a twosome. A couple TVs, but only one was on and the volume was (blessedly) down! Interesting craft brews on tap. Chose a flight of dark beers. Price point on these is about $20-$25 for four 4 ounce pours. They came with a 4 oz. Glass of mini pretzels. I'm not sure if there's a functioning kitchen, however there is a food truck that serves outside during the week. The vibe was friendly and relaxed on this particular afternoon. We look forward to returning soon with friends.

We were in the area and I needed this tag so we stopped in for a really quick one and done. I really loved the atmosphere here and the beer I chose was incredible. My understanding is that they have incredible beers year round. I am sure we will be stopping in here again when we are in the area. It is a great spot! They participated in hop passport so we got 50% off our first two drinks. Definitely check it out when you're in the area!

    These beers are AMAZING!

For the record, I love beer and checking out new breweries is a favorite hobby of mine. UCBC knocked it out of the park tonight! I was so impressed by the large selection of beers on tap and each absolutely fantastic. I ended up ordering a flight and the Peanut Butter Chocolate Stencil Stout was my favorite. It was hard to decide on a favorite, but the flavor and smoothness of this stout is like nothing I've ever tried before. I enjoyed talking to the owner and learning more about this awesome brewery. They also participate in the TagaBrew. I was excited to find out that they actually had some old tags from their previous Brewery River Rouge. So I was able to walk out with some awesome stickers and two brand new shiny tags. It was a fantastic night and I can't wait to come back

Finally got to enjoy some of there yummy beers opening weekend! Easy parking out back, walking in the back door to a wide open space with bar, table and some community seating! (There is a front door also) Walk up to the bar to get served, the two bartenders we dealt with were both excited to be open! Ordered a flight and honestly enjoyed everything! We had a orange saison, coconut kolsh, raspberry lager, chocolate peanut butter stout, and shandy! My mom who is always willing to try beer with me actually loved the coconut kolsch and shandy! They have a food truck schedule and then some snacks for sale at the counter! I can't wait to see what other cool flavors they come out with next because I will definitely be back!

Sitting at the bar, enjoying my flight of five!

I opted for the garlic fries upcharge, bringing my total to $19.00. Somehow I justified it because I like these toppings and these toppings weirdly weren't available on a pizza. Or at least I didn't see it via the phone based ordering system. Yes, that's right, this is all of the future check with wrist bands and pour your own beer situation. Don't look for a paper menu, they ain't here. My sandwich wasn't a grilled cheese. It was basically pesto toast with large sun-dried tomatoes and scraps of mozzarella. Baby spinach was just missing. I did inquire to the host (perchance the only actual employee?) and he did talk to the kitchen and I guess they were out. With that information I turned to my friend Robert and said, "You know why we have servers? So they can let you know they're 86 spinach." I suppose I would have adjusted my order had I known this too. What's nuts is, they have ingredients to make a better grilled cheese. I mean, step one: add cheese. Why not mix the ricotta and pesto together and then add like havarti or something that may actually melt and have flavor. The sun-dried tomatoes should be sliced smaller. The garlic fries were fine, but also could have had more flavor. Robert's and neighboring table's pizza looked fine. Is it better than any other place offering Detroit style pizza? Hard to say. I guess I'm not in a hurry to go back. The kind host did make an adjustment to my bill for lack of spinach--but having a server would have prevented that being necessary.

Upon entering, the staffer explained the set-up to enjoy a variety of beers, poured and priced by the volume. Located at the back of the restaurant, customers can select beer flavors and serve themselves, no bartender needed. A tab is started and charged based on usage, tracked through the wristband provided to you. I ordered over mobile via a QR code, selecting pretzel sticks with beer cheese dip and a large, Detroit-style pizza. The soft pretzels were tender with a lovely crusty exterior. I inhaled the first pretzel since it was past lunchtime, savoring the salty, cheesy bites. I must admit, the pretzels' saltiness temporarily affected my taste buds because the pizza had little flavor, even with the pepperoni, sausage, and olives. I definitely did not taste the hot honey drizzle. I want to praise the light, airy crust. For a deep dish pizza, it did not sit heavy in my tummy. I also appreciated that the pizza was served on a rack, to allow air circulation and to prevent sogginess. The space was dark and had both large communal tables and smaller, intimate tables. This allowed for larger groups to enjoy community beyond a friend group. The other plus is the board games that are available to pass the time while enjoying various beers.

It's a rare spot where the "working/studying" crowd, the socialites, and the pure "grubbers" all coexist in perfect harmony. A quick heads-up on the logistics: there is a decent-sized parking lot in the back, but because it's a shared space with other businesses, weekend nights can turn into a bit of a high-stakes game of musical chairs. My advice? Get there early, or just be prepared to circle once or twice. The coffee and pastries are legitimately elite--so good that you might forget you're also sitting in a darn good pizza spot. I haven't personally tackled the pizza yet, but based on the intoxicating aromas drifting from neighboring tables and the sheer visual appeal of the pies I saw being partook in, it is officially next on my hit list. This is probably the best breakfast/brunch place in town. Too bad they're only open weekends for breakfast. Whenever we have family back in town or friends from out of town, this is our go to place. Casual relaxed, friendly with quality food. If you haven't been here for breakfast, I would highly recommend it. The only comment I have is they don't open for breakfast until a little bit later in the morning. Usually, there is a line out out front waiting for them to open. We've had most things on the menu and to be truthful, not one thing has disappointed. Dinner: we don't get here too often for dinner because in my mind, this is our go to breakfast place. Last week we tried it for dinner and again, very pleasantly surprised at the professionalism of the wait staff, the quality of the food, and the overall dining experience.
