A low key brewery with great beer. I've only sat down to drink here once. They allow you to sample the beer. Typically, I grab a pack of Elephant Juice (one of my favorite IPAs ) to go. Service is always friendly!

Eastern Market Brewing is a great spot to grab some Detroit themed brews in Eastern Market. There is plenty of seating available, inside and out. Little fire pits to keep you warm on a chilly day. There are to-go options if you are unable to dine in. The employees were friendly & upbeat. Give Eastern Market Brewing a try!

When traveling, I generally follow the rule of never going to the same place twice. BUT I BROKE IT FOR THIS BREWERY. ALL their beers were so good. We were at the eastern market shopping around and saw this cute elephant mural. Turns out the EMBC mascot is this elephant. I ordered a flight the first time because I thought I wanted to try out alot of their beers. I had the butterfly seltzer, the cranberry cosmo, Peppermint Mocha White Coffee, and the eggnogged. The seltzer was nice and extremely light drink that was SO PRETTY! It was light purple and I would order it just to look at it!! The second time, I got the DIPA, which I am a sucker for. It was so good. My partner really liked the elephant juice and the hair of the dog. He thought it was one of the best IPAs he had this year! Loved the vibes of this place. There are seats inside, outside, and inside their brewing dungeon! The wall of windows brought in so much natural light and I loved their plant wall, it gave it the kiss of perfection. Overall, if you had to go anywhere in Detroit, you should come here!

Great local beer brewed on site... this is a must stop everytime we are at the Eastern Market. It's got a great all inclusive vibe with a good choice of beers. I had a sour that was outstanding.

Good price for a craft beer. Had a lot of options and each were very tasty! Came for the trivia and it was a lot of fun! Service was fast and drinks were given at the bar without any wait. It has a brewery background with different beer tanks in the back with a rustic feel. More industrial with wooden picnic like tables and also metal high seats. Great natural lighting with big windows and lots of seating.

Five stars! We adored this place during our trip to Detroit. Atmosphere and vibes are just right! Service is fast and efficient. Drinks were interesting, from what my husband and his friends said.

I really loved this place. While I knew there was an Eastern Market Brewing Company, because I would order their beer at Supino's when it was open for dine-in, I did not realize it was around the corner and open for tastings. I also had not realized until my recent visit they were open with outdoor seating and that you could carry around drinks at the entire market. So, once I realized there was a party going on at the market, I did an impromptu pub crawl. This was my last stop. They have seating inside and outside. The individuals who work here were very friendly and informative. You are able to sample as well before you purchase either cans to go or a pint to drink there. I liked their selection. I think I counted 30 on the menu board. The prices were very reasonable. I was in the mood for a shandy but they convinced me to order the lemon-lime kolsch, which was very drinkable. We also tried the white coffee blonde stout which was quite amazing. That was something to get every time it is available! We were very impressed. While we did not stay, we left to roam the market, this is a place I would love to return to with friends and another pub crawl. They have so many great choices. Plus, coincidentally, I actually received a can of their margarita flavor can as a gift which I look forward to trying soon. Side note, they did have a small donut case which looked enticing. Not sure if that is always there or provided by a local baker, but I am not sure if there is any other food. But there are restaurants, a small grocery store, and the market with food trucks when they are open. For anyone who enjoys craft beer, this is a must visit spot on any beer tour around the state.

I was super excited to get the opportunity to try some beer at Eastern Market Brewing Co. We parked on the side and I saw no meters. We then walked past this yellow blocked area and saw cute seating. The buildings had awesome grafitti on them as well. It was not too busy at first because we walked in at 4 when they opened. The woman at the counter was super sweet and let us try a few flavors to see which cans we wanted to take home. As my husband was tasting some of the gose, suddenly a line was forming. They get pretty busy in here, and I was surprised. It was worth it though because the beer tasted amazing. My husband told me we have to come back doen to get some more because it was delicious and high quality for a fair price.

Easy access to the brewery on bike from the D-Cut. The Pineapple IPA is a must have. If you arrive during the warmer months there is plenty of outdoor seating. A limited menu is available for food.

Great beer, excellent service, cool vibes, and plenty of seating. Indoor and outdoor seating. Even the indoor seating is well ventilated and plenty of open windows/doors. Spacious brewery and cool decor. Easy street parking in the neighborhood.

We stopped here on a very hot Sunday afternoon. Their outdoor tables were mostly in the shade and spaced far apart (and far from the areas where people walk). You enter the building at the side entrance to order at the bar, pick up your drink in a plastic cup at a table, and then exit out the front door. Everyone was wearing masks and it was easy to keep your distance. The beer was good. My only two criticisms are the really loud music inside made it difficult to be heard when ordering and wearing a mask and I never saw anyone cleaning the tables. So, if you're concerned, bring your own wipes. Update: I heard from them and they have turned down the music and have a dedicated table washer. I added an additional star for being responsive to and correcting problems!

Stopped in here to grab a quick drink before heading out and we were impressed. Great selection of brews, friendly and informative staff, and easy open picnic style seating. My tastes preferred the Sweater Weather, but taste away until you find something you like. Board showed they have things like trivia night and looks like the street would be a sweet spot to hang if the weather had been nicer.

The Coconut Ube Beer from @easternmarketbrewing is next level. That Ube after taste is my favorite! So good! highly recommend this and chill outside on the patio during the summer!

Do you guys have to-go beers?

We do! Our taproom has a wide selection of freshly brewed 4-packs to-go. Cheers, David

Are you open this Sunday to drink in your alley?

We are! The city has allowed us to close the entire street, so we have plenty of outdoor, socially distant seating. Cheers, Dayne

Very disappointing first experience…read more My companion and I visited McShane's in Corktown for the first time and sat down at the bar. We waited approximately 3-4 minutes while the bartender talked with other staff and lingered nearby. During that time, he never acknowledged us, never made eye contact, never said "I'll be right with you," and never asked if we wanted anything to drink. He was close enough to know we were there, and we were clearly new customers sitting at the bar with no drinks in front of us. After waiting without even a simple greeting, we decided to leave and try the outdoor bar instead. I asked the bartender outside if he was the bartender, and he said yes. He remained seated, continued talking with a group of women, and again made no effort to ask what we wanted or explain how service worked. I even mentioned that we were new there, but that didn't change anything. At that point, we decided to leave altogether. As we were leaving, instead of trying to help or understand why we were walking away, the interaction became dismissive and argumentative. I don't expect instant service, especially if a bar is busy. I do expect the basic courtesy of being acknowledged. A simple "I'll be with you in a minute" would have been enough. Instead, we were left feeling unwelcome and ignored by two different bartenders. We took our business elsewhere, and unfortunately, our first impression of McShane's was that new customers simply weren't a priority.

But if you know crowds are coming when shows let out... you've gotta be ready for it. Two bartenders for a packed bar just wasn't cutting it. I waited about 20 minutes for a drink and eventually just gave up, which is frustrating when you're trying to enjoy a night out. And the one drink I did get earlier honestly looked like a sample cup. The place felt kinda dirty and weirdly quiet (before the rush)? Like super dark (which I get, dive bar) but no music or energy to balance it out. It just felt off. I've been here a few times now hoping it would hit different, but it hasn't yet. If you're the owner reading this, I'd just say plan for those post-show rushes.
