We had a good time hanging out here, sat by the bar, and the service was very attentive, helping with what to order and friendly. And the food was delicious and the beers we got were good.

Stopped in for a quick beer on the way back home from the Eastern Market. This brewery is on Joseph Campau near the now closed Rattlesnake Club on the Detroit river. The seating is mostly high tops or the bar and everything was clean and nicely done with a small arcade and the brewing and canning area in back. We sat at the bar and our order was filled in short order. I had a Purple Gang Pilsner and it was good, nice and crisp. Stop in and grab a beer, they have food too and sell the canned beer right there.

I loved Atwater! The location was perfect and right by the river. Great place to watch a game and hangout with friends. The beer selection was great! I chose the cherry vanilla stout. It was so delicious! You also must try the poutine. It was flavorful and delicious.

I visit at least one time a year for the Atwater Brewery Race, it is always one of my favorites. I love a dirty blonde and they integrate with the race so well. Food is solid, but beer is top notch.

Brewery across from the Riverwalk. Physically large with terrible parking options (we got a ticket.) Lots of merch. It was dead but it was also a Monday afternoon, but it was a holiday weekend. My husband tried a few of the beers and it was OK. It was a squished in stop but I assume on a nice day in the summer this us a great stop either before or after the Riverwalk.

We happened to visit the following establishment on one of Michigan's more hot days. In fact it was over 100° even with the scorching heat to staff was incredible friendly and accommodating as we waited for our order they offered us additional refills to help beat the heat. My only con about this establishment is the lack of vegan options. They had a hummus platter, but I wish there was more variety. Overall, the staff was amazing. There was ample seating and everything went smoothly. There's also some street parking nearby.

Super busy here before a concert at the Aretha Franklin Amphitheatre. Kitchen was slammed so they stopped taking food orders for a while. Thankfully we got ours in before the cutoff or I'd have left. Burger was nothing special but nothing wrong with it. I appreciated the large portion of chips. Pretzel bites were fine, didn't blow me away. Was shocked to see zero non alcoholic items on the menu. No hop water, mocktails, or sodas advertised. I ended up ordering a lemonade cocktail without liquor. Same difference I guess but I'd rather have something with some intention behind it.

Love this place! Great spot to watch a game. The beer is good. They have a small amount of merch for sale as well. The food was pretty solid. We wished the chicken Caesar wrap had been better but the chicken sandwich was fire.

Excellent service from Zack! He made wonderful suggestions. I really enjoyed their signature cider he recommended. It was very dry and crisp. He also gave me a shot of orange juice in case I wanted to turn it into a mimosa experience. I'm so glad I did because It was way better than champagne. Best mimosa I've ever had! The southern chicken sandwich was delicious! Spicy and flavorful. The fries were perfection! Seasoned well and crispy. Really nice ambiance. Very spacious and clean. Fun decor. High top and low top tables. Full bar. TVs at the bar, showing sports. I definitely want to return!

This place was ok we sat outside I ordered a Caesar salad which I give a 2 And a Peach mule. My son ordered a pub burger and fries with. Lemonade they toast the bun too hard so my son did not like . They do not have a kid menu at all.' The best part of this place was sitting outside in the sun. I will try again and recommend everyone give at least one stop in to see what you think . The service was slow u must order at bar inside if sitting outside and seemed to only have one server doing everything but two bartenders.

After a Michigan Central Station tour, I stopped by for a late lunch on Saturday. You seat yourself, and the staff will come to your table. I had the pulled chicken sandwich with onion rings for my entree. The food came out extremely fast but was mid. I enjoyed a shandy and a VJP. Unfortunately, their flagship VJP nitro was out. High/low/bar seating. Biergarten. Moderately clean. Good service. Pricy food and Atwater branded merchandise. Noisy. WiFi but no password. Dirt lot parking or limited paid street parking. I would probably return, but just for drinks.

Stopped in with the family as we were going to fire and ice festival and we wanted some food and beers before. I always liked their beer as dirty blond was one of my favorites, but I tried several others in a flight and that was cool. We all ordered food and it was really good actually, as I had the pesto chicken sandwich and we had margarita pizza too. Good beer and good food especially for a brewery. My only knock would be service, it took a long time to get my order and when we wanted to leave it took forever to get our bill. There is no one to seat you, you have to find your table when you get there. Would come back for beers for sure.

Really enjoyed my time here with my family on a Friday in Detroit. I always love local breweries and brew hopping and I appreciated the ton of flavors of beer they had . The only con of this place was that if you wanted to sit upstairs on their rooftop patio, you had to order from upstairs, but they only had a limited selection of the beers and none of the ones we wanted. We went downtstairs to order the beers for my parents and us and while my parents sat there, they made them purchase water. A little 8oz bottle for a dollar a piece. I get it, she needs to make money up there as the bartender too, but why not have more flavors upstairs? It was a nice evening of course we would rather sit outside than in the dark brewery downstairs. After that though, we enjoyed our drinks and took some pictures by the cool Detroit sign. There was Cornhole upstairs too and it seemed like a very cool atmosphere I would love to go back to. Just wish there were more drink selections upstairs:(

The brewery splits their offerings between Jolly Pumpkin sours and North Peak Brewing Company's variety of styles. My husband ordered a Jolly Pumpkin pint right away. I wanted to try a flight but needed time to choose. Our bartender Lenice gave me all the time I needed. When a couple of my picks weren't available, she brought me samples of other beers to try. I liked one of the samples. Jason, the manager, helped me make my final selection. I don't typically drink sours, but these weren't the kind that make you pucker. They were subtle. Definitely my kind of sours. Jason shared stories about the brewery's history and owner. His knowledge and enthusiasm for the place really came through. Lenice stopped by a few times to check if we needed anything. Both Lenice and Jason made this visit memorable. Lenice kept the energy light and friendly. Jason's passion for his work and the brewery added depth to the experience. If you're in the area and want good beer with even better service, stop by Jolly Pumpkin Brewery.

I don't know what this man's intentions were, but he could've came up to me and just simply asked "are you doing okay? is there anything i can do for you?" instead of scooping me out as if i was getting ready to commit a crime. as I spend more time being back in my home in Detroit, i'm just not understanding why it's too difficult to receive decent and humane customer service. i'm just in complete concern & dismay due to this experience, do so much better.

They also have a great outdoor area with a large TV display, which adds even more appeal if you want to linger a while. And then, of course, there was the happy hour deal: $8 for a shot and a Surfside, which had us at hello and frankly required very little convincing. One night I decided to eat in, and while my waitress was genuinely nice and attentive, the experience took a weird turn when my meal was brought out. The guy delivering it just walked past me, dropped the plate on the table with a loud clank, and didn't greet me or even acknowledge me at all. It was jarring -- not only did it feel careless, but it completely broke the warm, fun vibe I'd come in expecting. On top of that, I had the app downloaded to earn rewards points, but my waitress never added them, which was frustrating enough that I ended up deleting the app. That one visit definitely stood out as an exception in an otherwise positive history with this location.
