We first hired him back when he was known as "Steve Beam Handyman," and it's been amazing to see him grow and expand his services with the launch of Denver Remodels Inc. Over the years, Steve and his team have tackled everything from small repairs (like anchoring heavy drapery hardware into our finicky plaster walls) to major renovations (like restoring the exterior of our 1908 Craftsman). One of our favorite projects was transforming our mudroom by removing a wall and building a custom breakfast nook. This was a complex project, but Steve's expertise and creativity shone through. He even suggested a design element in the booth walls that perfectly complemented the Craftsman lines of our home - it's those little details that make a huge difference. What we think truly sets Steve apart is his incredible craftsmanship, creativity, and his consultative approach. He takes the time to truly understand your vision and offers expert guidance throughout the design process. Whether you're tackling a small project or a major renovation, Steve's deep knowledge and experience are on display with every project he does. He's always there to answer questions, offer suggestions, and steer you in the right direction, ensuring that the final result is even better than you imagined. His team is equally fantastic - professional, efficient, and incredibly skilled. If you're looking for a reliable, knowledgeable, and truly exceptional remodeling experience in Denver, look no further than Steve Beam and Denver Remodels Inc. They're a standout and I'm so glad we found them.

When some boards that had been installed had some pre-existing issues that made them look bad, he didn't balk at all in tearing down those boards and re-installing some from the overage we ordered. On top of his great workmanship -- and strong work ethic -- Dean was simply a wonderful young man with which to work. Based on our experience, we'd highly recommend Punch List Handyman.

Everything was upfront with the quote we received within 24 hours. So easy to approve the quiet and set up the appointment for the repairs. I called on Wednesday and Dean was here, right on time, on Friday morning. So thankful they were able to do the job so quickly! Dean was friendly, efficient, and worked the full time he was here. We had two different repairs/replacements to be done and are very pleased with the outcome. Pricing was fair and Jim really listened to what we needed. We will definitely be utilizing their services again for small and larger remodel jobs. I feel confident in recommending to friends and family!

Not only was he extremely experienced and efficient with the installation of this particular system, he charged us approximately $350 less than it would have cost us to go through one of the retailer's contractors. We are now able to realize much more usable space than before. Next job already scheduled for the hanging of a new barn door for the walk-in closet! With a new bike on the way, I found it was going to be quite a challenge storing it in our relatively small garage. I barely had enough room to squeeze the car in with just one bike, so purchased a ceiling hanging system. After the system arrived, I hired Wade Services to do the job. Upon arrival, he suggested an alternative solution that would allow for easier access to the bike. I went with his idea and was quite pleased with the results. Where there was once clutter and barely enough room for one bike, I now am able now able to fit two bikes (old bike pictured - new one will be placed where the tires are), store my ladders and camping tables, and still effortlessly park my full-sized SUV. He also offered other improvement ideas, which I will have installed at a later date. He also suggested new layout ideas for two of our closets. We also plan to have him install those as well! Great work at a reasonable price! Thanks again, Robert! Jimmy H

I really…read morewas just looking for people who had the tools and know-how to do these things and make them look good. They got maybe half of that right, and most of the work was just "fine" in the end. First off, someone came by and did an appreciably detailed job finding out what work I wanted done, taking pictures, and giving me a quote. But when the worker showed up to do the job, he seemed to not really know what I wanted done, with none of the materials, then disappeared for hours with no updates, going to different Home Depots to get everything he needed. He ended up really rushing the work to finish by the end of the day. Project 1: installing a new fence gate post which had come out of the ground. The new post was secured properly, but he didn't actually make it so the gate latched, because who would want that, right? It wasn't too hard to fix that myself, but not a great start. Project 2: installing a new exterior crawl space door. Initially he installed it so that it only opened a few inches before getting stuck on the patio bricks. I had to clarify that, uh, yes, I do want to be able to open this door all the way, so he redid it. Project 3: expending a too-tiny attic hatch so that a normal sized person could actually get through it. This was the last thing he did during the day, and it was rushed and came out very shoddy. It ended up being just a piece of unfinished plywood, held in place by a hinge and magnets. And the magnets were so weak that the new hatch kept falling open on its own. I had to get him to come back another day to install some trim to make it look nice, and some extra magnets for it to actually stay shut. (Of course, they charged me for this second trip.) All of these were kind of shoddy, but I wasn't going to complain until the long-term results of Project 4: installing hand rails on the steps to my basement. I was actually happy with the results of this one... until less than a year later, when one of the hand rails pulled out of the wall. It turns out the worker secured them to the wall using only drywall anchors (pictured). I don't care what the box says, these things aren't even good enough to hold a TV on the wall, much less support the weight of a person. And none of the people who live here weigh over 160lbs, so a heavier person probably would've taken it down much faster. This is both poor workmanship and dangerous. Maybe you'll get lucky, and whatever worker they send to do your job will be more competent. But I won't risk using them for future jobs if this is the kind of work they do.

Then they invoiced us for more than twice the cost of the original estimate even after they "took off" some charge for delay and poor communication When we had them out to for an estimate and spoke about the jobs and it was clear that we saw there could need to be additional work added to complete the job correctly once we got started, which should have been included in the estimate. Instead they added more charges later with no explanation. Also On the estimate they simply wrote "materials not included" and never discussed possible costs an then the the cost of materials was 2/3 more than the estimate for the actual work. This is completely duping customers with what their final cost will be! Customers understand there is a cost for materials, which they could include at least a rough number in the original estimate, but if material costs will be almost as much as the work they should include this in their estimate. This is a sneaky, dishonest business practice. Along with the high cost of our materials, we had to pay for every person that came to replace the previous person that did a terrible job. The first person tried to complete the job as a total amateur and ruined what they were meant to improve. Then 3 other workers tried unsuccessfully to complete the job and wasted time and materials to do a horrible, poor quality job, which then had to be corrected by consecutive workers. Finally after 6 weeks the job was completed by a single person in 2 days. Even after all these weeks and people we still have one thing that was working before they arrived and when they finished the left it completely unusable and we have to hire another company to fix what they ruined. By the end when we received the invoice we filed a complaint and they took off a nominal amount but never reconciled the horrible work, time, or inflated charged. If I could give negative stars I would! Do not hire this company!
