    Two tattoos in one session

First time going to their new location since they were on mineral spring, and saw a new artist Greg. He did an amazing job and made sure I got exactly what I wanted with size, placement, and colors. Definitely will come back!

Popped in for a spontaneous piercing(s) and saw Mikey. Was super chill, super nice, the whole vibe of the shop was relaxed and comforting. He worked quick and efficiently. Space is super cool. Front desk person was VERY nice. Even as someone who is heavily tattooed it can be intimidating walking into a tattoo/piercing shop and I felt very comfortable the entire time. Highly recommended

I rarely, if ever, post reviews anywhere, but I had to absolutely leave one for this. My husband and I took our (almost) 5 year old daughter to Unicorn Ink today to get her ears pierced, and it was the absolute best case scenario, complete dream experience from start to finish! The person at the front desk was so patient and professional, the office was clean and had a great atmosphere and aesthetic, and Mikey, our piercer, was so wonderful! Mikey's work space is decked out in the coolest The Nightmare Before Christmas theme, which happens to be a movie my daughter had a brief obsession with not that long ago, so she instantly was so relaxed considering she was about to have her ears pierced! She was very excited but also expectedly very nervous, but Mikey explained every step so she knew what to expect and it was so quick and over in a flash she didn't even flinch! She absolutely loves her new pierced ears and is looking at them in the mirror every chance she gets. Minimal redness and swelling so far, Mikey gave us some after care instructions and the World's Best Business Card. Little details like that just show that this person loves their career and invests in themselves, and that's a person you can trust to give your kids, and yourself, the best possible piercing experience and outcome. Thank you, Unicorn Ink! I will recommend your studio every single time to any parent who ever asks where they should get their child's ears pierced, or anyone else for that matter!

Shout out the the team at 'Unicorn ink' for making an outsider feel welcome during a difficult time! Thanks for the eyebrow piercing!

Greg is awesome! He was very considerate of my comfort (asked what music I wanted to hear and played it the whole time), checked in with how I was doing, used a lidocaine lotion to help with pain, responded readily to any questions or concerns. Tattoo looks awesome! Very Grateful

I've been to Unicorn Ink a few times. Last summer, my hole closed up while I was trying to change it (many months after my healing period ended). Due to Covid-19, I had to wait quite some time to get it re-pierced. They were incredible about setting up my appointment, and they sent a text to confirm! On the day of, they really stuck to COVID safety protocols! They had me wait in my car while I filled out paperwork. When I completed that, I was escorted inside. I signed in and had my temp taken (touch-free). There was ample sanitizer (and social distancing). Mike did my piercing, and, per usual, he was quick, efficient, & informative! I LOVE MY NOSE PIERCING! It's perfect. Definitely recommend!

    Highly disappointed

120$ for terrible line work. Very disappointed with this tattoo. The crescent moon isn't round, and it's sloppy. The letters are fading and I just got it done.

It's been 14 years since I got my last tattoo, so I was very picky about where I would go when I picked up the habit again. My best friend got work done here, and I was impressed (plus, I trust her judgement), so I made my own appointment. I went with Jason, and was not disappointed! I chose a piece with lots of color, and Jason did a fantastic job. He didn't try to oversell me on anything, was upfront about the process, and fair about the pricing. I'm making an appointment with him again for next month and would highly recommend him. About the shop itself: what a fun environment! Wicked friendly staff. Relaxed vibe. Super positive experience. A heck of a difference from tattoo shops of old! I liked that I was able to book my appointment with them online. I could send design ideas ahead of time, and be certain that the artist was comfortable with the work. My emails were answered quickly, and they were super patient with all of my questions. I look forward to visiting again!

    Nailed it!

Angelo is so talented. I have three big pieces on my body now, and all are supposed to be realistic depictions of landscapes with my animals. This is by far my best one yet! Angelo did such a realistic depiction of my cat, I wish he had done all my pieces. He is worth the wait, and also a very chill down to earth guy. The place is clean, with a large lot, and they're taking Covid guidelines very seriously. Very professional place. Highly recommend.

How much does it cost to get your belly button pierced?

mine was $60 and mikey did an excellent job making sure i was comfortable and informed of what was happening.

I have a few ideas i want to get done, but i am a horrible artist. would it cost anything to have a few sketches done of something small and then get a price on what the tattoo would cost?

Hi there! Usually the artist requires a down payment (deposit) for drawings, but the payment would be applied to the price of the tattoo, if you decide to get it. The best way to get a price quote would be to come in and speak to the artist directly… Read more

I have been tattooed here several times by two different artists, and each time I have had a great experience. The shop itself is very big, so there is plenty of space and you don't feel like you are crammed into a tiny room with other customers. There's also a private room where you can have your tattoo done if you don't want everyone to see. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly and don't make you feel silly for asking lots of questions! I've had a large half sleeve done by Rick. It was a Japanese style dragon that was done in multiple sessions. I had an idea of what I wanted for the design, and I gave him free rein to do what he wanted with the color and placement. He is meticulous with stenciling and placing every element of the tattoo so that nothing is crooked or awkwardly placed. I have quite a bit of other work done on that arm in a different style, so I was worried about whether the dragon would flow with the rest of my tattoos, but he was able to make the design fit seamlessly with the other tattoos. It's been almost a year since I finished that tattoo and everything healed perfectly. The colors are still vibrant. I also have a tattoo by the artist Ron on my ankle. I picked the design from his book. Ron is also friendly and knowledgable, and had some ideas for making the colors on the tattoo pop and still be visible on my skin tone. The tattoo was one in one session and the lines are crisp and smooth. I highly recommend this shop. The pricing is really reasonable for the quality of tattoo that you get, and it's a comfortable and friendly environment.

I bought a white gold earring recommended by the piercer, which fell out after just 3 days. When I went back that day to have it reinserted, the same piercer who first recommended the earring admitted the post was "too soft". He mentioned they'd just started carrying this manufacturer's jewelry and had to add an extra bend beyond the standard one to keep it in. Worse, he reinserted the jewelry without cleaning my ear, essentially pushing bacteria into the open wound. I returned the next day because it felt off, but was dismissed and told it was fine. Four days after that, I was at Urgent Care: pain, swelling, redness spreading across my ear, warm to the touch. The doctor diagnosed me with cellulitis, removed the earring, and prescribed Ciprofloxacin. When I called to ask for a refund, the owner refused to acknowledge any fault. I understand things go wrong sometimes. What matters is how a business responds. Selling jewelry that isn't fit for purpose, skipping sanitation steps, and then dismissing a customer who ended up in urgent care is not okay. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Megan made me feel awkward for asking about placement and told me my nose is shaped weird so it won't look good (not "your anatomy won't support it"). My eyes watered (because that's normal - I looked this up later and it's typical for piercers to let you know it's totally normal), and when I mentioned it, she didn't reassure me or say it was normal. Just stared at me. They also tried to upsell me on jewelry without showing any of the cheaper options. I asked about cheaper options and they said they wouldn't look good. When I was done I was basically pushed out the door. The whole place feels rushed now - very assembly-line. I've since gone to other studios in MA and realized it doesn't have to feel like that. I won't be going back.
