I've been fortunate enough to be tattooed by my dear friend Giulia twice at this shop; anyone would be lucky to do the same! The vibe in the whole place is very cool, there's a ton to look at in the common area and all you have to do is look at the posts on this page to see the great work every artist here is putting out. Giulia in particular is SO meticulous about her craft and puts a pretty remarkable amount of detail into small spaces. I've been tattooed all over the country and not every place you walk into is this welcoming and cool, with such a quality roster of artists to boot - proud to call unicorn my "home base" for work these days. read more

Just found this in my "drafts," this was meant to be posted a year ago! Went in to have my nose pierced this evening after working up the chops for the past few years! I was greeted warmly and professionally by Mike and the people at the desk. After filling out paperwork we went right to the piercing area. It was such a relief that he took the time to answer my questions without making me feel like I was taking up all his time. He was patient and accommodating. Highly recommend!! read more

Piercing review. In and out, with the very personable Mikey. I decided on a whim to get my tragus pierced and walked right in, no wait. I may have been persuaded due to their $10 off Yelp check in coupon. Hey man, ten bucks is ten bucks! Mikey was very patient, and very professional. This isn't my first rodeo and have experienced some real know-it-alls and Mikey was the very opposite of those boneheads. Kind of can't wait to come back for my next piercing. read more

They've done a few tattoos for me and were always professional and nice. The place was kept very clean and even entertaining! They will answer any questions and explain things if needed. They also give advice and information. They don't just give tattoos because a person wants them if they feel it's a bad decision... At least for me they didn't and now I am glad! I thought I knew what I wanted and how it was going to look, etc. But after talking to X and understanding things better, I changed my mind. I must say today I am so glad I didn't get what I thought I wanted but got something else and have been happy for years!! read more

Super great experience here! I took my 6yo to get her ears pierced and a second lobe piercing for myself, and everyone was kind and professional. The atmosphere was clean and fun, my daughter loved the rainbow floor and unicorn art everywhere. The employee who helped us made sure to explain everything clearly before he did anything, so my daughter felt very prepared and confident. read more

My AC was broken in my car and drove 30 min there to get a piercing changed out. I made an appointment first and when I got there I was denied because my temp read as 110 degrees! I was sweating, from driving. I get COVID rules but like 110!?!!! I was even tested the day of (for work restrictions were tested twice weekly) and they wouldn't accept that either or let me cool down for a few. I went right to CVS, bought a thermometer and it read 97.9.... BELOW average. read more

This was my first time at unicorn ink and what a great experience! Walking into the shop the front desk is so friendly & crazy enough it is super kid/family friendly! I was there to get my 9 weeks old daughters ears pierced and had my 10 year old son with us. My 10 year old loves the video arcade and chips & candy! Mikey did the piercing and OMG he was so patient! My daughter was so cranky but he took his time and marked her ears and kept setting back giving me all the time needed to calm her down! I even breastfed while Miley did her ears. This place was amazing, and I HIGHLY recommend them. Everything was so clean and well taken care of. Thank you so much. read more

This is the worse shop ever for tattoos, I wish I could upload a picture of the messed up tattoo my best friend got from the boy they have working there. I emailed the owner regarding it, I even send a picture! he saw nothing wrong with the tattoo? He had a nasty attitude regarding our complaint.. I was dumb founded I couldn't believe his attitude.. as a business owner it's best to know how to be humble... I felt so bad for my friend because I took her there.. worse mistake I've made.. so think twice do not get suckerd in by cheap prices or what ever sale they advertise.. I'm so disappointed read more

Really can't say enough amazing things about Unicorn Ink. From the minute you step foot in the door you're welcomed into a great shop with amazing art and decor all over the walls by a great staff. Greg has done two pieces on my boyfriend and a huge piece on me. His work is unbelievable, we're lucky to have met him seeing as we has just randomly driven by one day and decided to come in. He spent a few weeks working with both of us on our totally unique designs and nailed them both exactly how we wanted. Dave is awesome and works so hard to make sure everybody is happy. Overall just a great and talented staff. It's worth checking out and making the trip to Mineral Spring! Definitely a gem in this city. read more

I came here for my first tattoo after researching online, reading the yelp reviews, and getting opinions from friends who have been here before. Everyone has only said good things about Unicorn Ink and I'm glad I came here! I loved Greg's art style and it was exactly what I was looking for, and he did a great job on it! I was a little nervous, but Greg was very easy-going and made the process a lot less stressful. And David, the owner, is super nice too! And they are both very professional and open to listening to your opinions and sharing their own as well. I'm a huge clean-freak so I felt very comfortable getting my tattoo done here because they are very clean there and safe. I definitely recommend coming here to get tattoo work done. :) My friend who came with me pretty much wanted to get her next tattoo done there too after seeing what a great job they did on mine. read more

I truthfully never take the time to submit reviews like this but I feel it's important to bring my experience to the attention of both this business and people considering getting a service done by them. I can't at all speak for anyone interested in tattoos as I only had four piercings done here all by Mikey. These were some of my first piercings so I unfortunately wasn't knowledgeable enough at the time to recognize the red flags, speak up about them, or chose to act differently which resulted in some major damage to the tissue surrounding all of my piercing sites. For starters, I had a two lobe piercings done, one on each ear. He wound his clamp so tightly on my ear lobe that after I had left the shop I had huge swollen bruises surrounding the piercing sites on both lobes. As someone fairly new to piercings at the time this terrified me. It took a nearly a month for these to go away. The main issue I had was with the helix piercing I had done here. If you're considering piercing your helix at this business I urge you to please consider other options. For starter jewelry I received what I believe to be a 20 gauge post with a butterfly back. For anyone who knows even a little bit about piercings putting a butterfly back on a helix piercings is immediately concerning and raises all of the red flags. It's been well over a year since I have received the piercing and it wasn't until recently I made an appointment with a more reputable piercer who told me that I was likely pierced with low quality jewelry that coupled with the butterfly back and the poor angle I was pierced at resulted in an accumulation of scar tissue on the tip of my ear. Getting my helix done here essentially deformed my ear a little bit. I'm extremely bummed. Also, because I was pierced with such a thin sized gauge I was never able to change the jewelry to anything of a proper quality or type of backing conducive to healthy and good looking piercings. I now have to work with another piercer to stretch this piercing I have to the proper size it should have been pierced at in the beginning. Just a lot of time and money I shouldn't have to spend. It's incredibly frustrating to have to have these complications with my piercing especially because they don't stem from anything I did wrong. Also, just a little side note. When I got this piercing done I expressed that I'd eventually like to wear a hoop in this piercing and asked which size he'd advise me to purchase. To which he responded I would be best of with a 16 or 18 gauge hoop. Shoving jewelry too big for a piercing hole can result in some irritation and even damage. The way I was pierced with such tiny jewelry and advised to simply shove something far larger when it would heal up is just crazy. I also had my rook pierced here. It has also been almost a year and with consistent after care and not sleeping on the piercing it is still irritated, not healing, and even bleeding. With all these other issues I'm beginning to question that I was given poor quality jewelry for this piercing as well which has resulted in these issues. I would also like to add that at no point was it disclosed what material the jewelry I received was made from so I have no idea what was put in my ears. What I do know is that I will never be coming back here for any piercings nor will I suggest any of my friends come here as well. Again I would like to add that I NEVER do stuff like this. It's just important that I make everyone involved aware of my experience and hopefully some changes can be made to improve services people receive here. I am leaving two stars because despite the complications I have had Mikey is absolutely incredible guy and made me feel super comfortable throughout all of the appointments I had with him. By no means is he bad piercer. I just think purchasing some better starter jewelry, double checking the angle of piercings before he does them, and ensuring he's not clamping people too tight would make him such a far more incredible piercer. read more

I had always heard great things from friends about unicorn ink, so I wanted to give them a try. I've been wanting to get a tattoo to commemorate my mother, who passed 6 years ago, so I started with emailing from the website about setting up a tattoo consultation. The shop manager was awesome with helping me get the appointment. I explained what I wanted to get and she set up the consult and the tattoo appointment for me. This is where I start questioning everthing. I arrived for my consult only for my artist to be nowhere to be found, and no one in the shop knows where she is. She walks into the shop, from outside, about 20 minutes after my consult time. I finally get to go over what I want for my tattoo, a rosemary sprig. My mother's name is Rosemary and I didn't want it to be a portrait so I went a subtle route. I also asked her to include her birth/death year into the stalk of the sprig. She said it would be not problem. My consult was over a month before my appointment so she could sketch somethings up and she said she would text me some designs ahead of time and see what I liked. I hadn't heard a word from her til 8pm the night before my appointment, and it was only to check and see if I was still coming in for my appointment. She then proceeded to email me the morning of my appointment with the sketches that were done for my appointment. I opened the picture, and I couldn't believe what I saw. She had sketched CROSSES! Not once during my consult did I ever say the word cross. I was blown away by what was sent. Also should mention, the "sketches" that were sent to me, weren't even sketched out. 2 of the images are necklaces and the other 3 were cut and pasted from other images, one with a Shutterfly watermark on it. And now, I won't be getting my memorial tattoo. That's what I waited over a month for! A photoshopped flash page. Thanks for nothing Sofia... read more

Came here in April 2019 for two pieces. Receptionist was wonderful. Place is funky and vibe-y. My tattoo artist- Nick- was not really fun or kind. He did a nice job, but he seemed annoyed by my questions and the fact that I disagreed where I wanted the tattoo placed. He wasn't friendly during the tattoo and barely said goodbye as he vanished as soon as he completed the job. Against my better judgement I still have him a 50% tip. The receptionist had to call him back upstairs so I could give him his tip. I should have not tipped him as generously as I did but I wanted to show hin that he should just be kind and warm to all his clients. I now have a new tattoo artist and she is making a lot of money off me so he lost out. Sadly I can't recommend him, but friends of mine still go here and have great experiences with other artists. I wish I stood up for myself the day this all went down but I didn't want to make a scene or feel any more uncomfortable than I already did. read more

Unicorn is a refreshing break from the other tattoo shops around Providence. I was ecstatic to find Unicorn online and even happier with my decision to get ink here after going in for a consultation visit. The staff was pleasant and welcoming. The atmosphere fun, yet calm, something I greatly appreciate when I am getting tattooed. I went in with a few images and talked with Greg, the owner. We talked about ideas, scheduling, price and then he said he would get back to me within the week with a few drawings. He was timely and professional. Listened to my ideas and drew up a beautiful piece. When I went back for my actual appointment, Greg was not only considerate of his customer, but extremely efficient and neat with his work. Got my first and second tattoo here from Giulia (who no longer works there). Overall they made these sometimes painful experiences so easy and comfortable. Which I believe is very important considering the permanent art. The rest of the artists work is beautiful and I would still continue to go there if my artist was still there. First things first we booked one of our appointments for 6pm, we get there about 20 minutes early and nobody arrives until about 5 minutes before. So then we go into her downstairs piercing area, and I say hello to her and she just straight up ignores me. Mind u I am genuinely no more then 10 feet away from this women in a very quiet area so I KNOW she heard me. Whatever. I wanted to get my tongue pierced so I had booked for the piercing and also a jewelry removal, because I wanted to switch my nose jewelry. She ends up telling me I can't get the tongue due to my anatomy (only thing she got right btw). She instead tells me I should've done a consultation instead, but heres the thing. On her website its $50 for a consultation and $50 for a piercing... at no place have I ever had a $50 "consultation" fee because it genuinely takes 10 seconds to see someones anatomy. So I ended up just getting the rods on both of my nose piercings replaced. It costed $120... bro?? Mind u during this she was making my friend (a gay man) have these very odd conversations about gay intercourse, and then remarked "I like making people uncomfortable". With what? Your words and the overcharging?? My friend got his eyebrow pierced, he already has his other one done in addition to a number of other piercings. His eyebrow piercing she did is currently swollen with puss oozing out. Why? I can tell u, because she used the completely wrong size jewelry, with a bar way to small. Why didn't he say anything? Oh because during this she was bad mouthing other piercing places emphasizing how she definitely knows what shes doing. She went on to say shes been piercing for 16 years.. maybe with her eyes closed?? Her shop is very cute so she seemed like she would be professional as well, but this was a horrid experience. She was untimely, invasive in her choice of conversation, and also just couldn't do her job correctly. I would not recommend going to her unless you don't care about your appearance.

I already had two piercings with butterfly backs but no one mentioned there is a different kind of back now where you screw a microscopic post into a tiny hole. I had to take them out for an MRI and can't get them back in because I have paralysis in my thumbs and arthritis in my hands. I called to see if they could exchange them for the type I wanted because I can't use these and he got very defensive. He kept telling me he has a client with 4 fingers and only one hand so my disability shouldn't be a problem. If he can overcome his then surely I should overcome mine, he insisted. I felt like I was talking to a child. There was no apology for the miscommunication, no offer to try to reorder them or take them back or even issue some kind of credit. He just kept blaming me, saying I should have asked when I came in wearing butterflies and having no idea these others existed. The bottom line: They don't take an ounce of responsibility for anything and are incredibly rude to someone who spent hundreds of dollars on something she can't use. Telling me I am wrong about my disability and insisting I can pay them to teach me to do it was the icing on the cake. You don't tell a disabled person that their disability isn't real and they can do something they can't if they really wanted to. I would rather pierce my own ear with a rusty nail than set foot in this scam of a place again.

Meant to write this when I got my nose pierced here last year, and definitely thought I wrote a review already, but here goes. I'd been wanting to get my nose pierced for a while, but since it was my first real piercing (two lobe piercings on each side but I got those done at the mall so I feel like they don't count) I wanted to do a lot of research and find a place that I really liked. After doing a lot of research, I located Unicorn Ink, which looked bright and clean and had good reviews. I emailed to ask about pricing, since they don't have pricing information for piercings on the site, and they answered right away and were helpful and friendly. When the actual day of the piercing came, I was nervous, but entering the shop put me at ease right away. Unlike most tattoo parlors a little closer to me, Unicorn Ink is bright, clean-looking, and fun, the kind of place that I felt comfortable bringing my family into. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and got me the paperwork I needed right away. The piercing room was clean and I was actually able to watch Greg open a fresh needle, which definitely put me at ease- knowing the equipment being used on you is clean is really reassuring. He talked me through each step as he performed it, and the piercing was quick and nearly painless. The piercing has healed up super well: within six weeks I was able to change the jewelry. I have no problems with it now that I don't cause myself lol. One thing I would note is that they pierce with a screw-style piece of jewelry, not a hoop, so if that's what you're looking for you might have to go somewhere else. read more

After years of wanting a tattoo I finally got the chance to do so recently and after doing research I chose unicorn ink and specifically Angelo as the artist I wanted to go with. I spent months watching anything tattoo related on YouTube everything from vlogs, tips on getting tattoos, what not to do as a client etc, needless to say I was super hyped and excited. When I first emailed for my idea I was super annoying with it, I sent multiple emails, way more than necessary, and even changed my idea as a whole which I imagine must of been super annoying. Angelo was super professional and kind the whole time despite everything. The interior of unicorn ink is themed in a very welcoming way for me as it has all the things I'm into such as gaming, music, and movie decor. The place is very clean and organized as well. My first tattoo was a almost half sleeve Phoenix in black and grey and angelo did a great job. He also did it in a surprisingly quick time without lacking in detail, what I thought would be a 6 hour session he turned into 3 hours and made it look just as great as I imagined. I came back a few weeks later to get small piece in black and grey on my chest, with him again and he again amazed me with how he designed my idea to be way better than I imagined it to be, nailed the placement, the line work, and again completed it in a way smaller time frame than I originally thought. all the while being friendly and humorous. Unicorn ink is a fantastic experience from beginning to end. First, my fiancé came in for wedding ring tattoos. We both wanted to test the waters before going all in for bigger projects, and we figured the rings would be easy. Greg and Eric were honest with us about how hand tattoos deteriorate, but never tried to convince us not to get them. They were easy going, and allowed us to get exactly what we wanted. While we were getting tattooed, conversation was easy. After such a good experience, we booked an appointment the next week for a couple other pieces. She wanted a pretty basic fish/shark minimalistic drawing that she had seen in the check book at the Broadway Bistro. I wanted something a lot more complicated -- an abstract watercolor tattoo. I sent a few designs that I liked over to Greg and Eric, and they used them to come up with a few concepts. All of them were gorgeous, but I chose one, asked them to slightly alter the color scheme, and got it on my forearm. Once again, both of us couldn't have felt more comfortable throughout the whole process. I also wanted to go through without a break and Greg tattooed me for 2.5 hours without taking more than a couple minutes. We also found the price points to be exceedingly reasonable. In the weeks after, Greg was super responsive about aftercare questions. The tattoos look beautiful and they healed really nicely. Honestly, as long as these guys are open, I won't go anywhere else. I went with a friend on her birthday to get her first tattoo done by John Denmatt, and at the time I had been thinking of getting another tattoo but it was in the very early stages of considering getting some more ink. While hanging around I was looking through his posted work and I realized he was the perfect person to do my next tattoo. My grandfather has some old Air Force tattoos on his forearms and I wanted to get not the exact same tattoo but one very close, yet more feminine. He and I talked about it and then I told him I would definitely be in touch. Due to many obligations throughout the next year I kept putting it off until my birthday when my boyfriend presented me with a matte drawing, done by john, of what I had been describing. John went above and beyond to help my boyfriend surprise me with the tattoo I had been dreaming about for a few years at that point. We set up the appointment right away and I cannot say enough how easy John is to work with. From setting up the appointment to actually working on the tattoo, he is just so easy going and makes you comfortable! I Highly recommend unicorn ink. I am on a personal road to recovery, I had a finger tattoo I need covered. I first reached out through email and was told unfortunately they don't do finger tattoos. I was bummed... I searched around and just wasn't satisfied with other places in the area For what I personally was looking for. So I called and spoke with Melissa , and explained what happened prior, and maybe instead of a finger tattoo I could get a hand/ finger type tattoo. Melissa listened and was professional and educated me on why they really don't do these type of tattoos. I explained my personal story and she spoke with her boss. With whatever kind words she spoke. This is going to sound crazy, but yesterday I woke up from a dream wanting a tattoo. You see, my brother passed away a few months ago and he loved tattoos- and, for years tried to convince me to get one. I never did, you see - him and I were opposites in just about everything but our love for one another. Upon waking from this dream I came up with a design to keep my brother close to me - he's ALWAYS in my heart, but I wanted a gentle reminder everyday. Something that I can look at to remind myself to get out of the dark obis we call grief. I was able to find my brother's tattoo artist at Unicorn Ink. His name was Greg and I don't have the words to express my gratitude for the gift he gave me yesterday - I felt as if my brother was there as he talked me through the process. I've always had a tremendous fear of getting a tattoo- I don't do very well with pain, lol. I was actually shocked when Greg said he was done - you see, he kept me at ease by telling me stories of my brother. I was so focused on Greg and my brother that I almost forgot about the tattoo. Got my first tattoo done by Nick, here at Unicorn Ink at the end of August, and he did a phenomenal job. He truly brought my idea to life, from a lousy drawing idea I handed him and made it into something beautiful! He did such a fantastic job that at the beginning of this month (October 2019) I went back to him and got two more tattoo's done by him and have a fourth one planned for November with Angelo! While there I have also gotten my vertical labret, septum, medusa, and an industrial piercing all done by Mike! Everyone there has always been super nice to me and patient because Lord only knows with my nerves, I can be a pain in the neck with the 50,000 questions and a lousy sense of explaining what I want clearly! Not once did anyone show signs of frustration or boredom, which is really important to me! I have gone elsewhere for piercings in the past and had to deal with piercer's who suffer from God complexes, so it was nice coming here and having a safe, fun, clean, sterile, friendly environment! Got my second tattoo done by Greg. I Was looking for a watercolor tattoo and when I found Unicorn Ink by searching through Google, I saw Greg's work. Based on what I have seen from other artists, he was the best for that style I wanted. When I had my consult it was pretty simple and straight forward. I noticed the shop was very clean and neat. I had to reschedule a couple times but he was able to accommodate. At the time of my appointment, he was very detailed oriented. Once I was sitting the the chair he took the time to show me the unopened needles he was going to use. He even took the time to explain the gun he was using. He answered every question I had. He did an awesome job with my tattoo!!! I am very happy with how it came out! I was so nervous. I had envisioned my tattoo for a long time and had an exact picture in my mind as to how I wanted it to look and he fulfilled my expectations and then some. I'm going to add to the list of people raving about Unicorn Ink. I have 4 tattoos, one of which is very small and on the left side of my ribs. I got that tattoo at another shop and my ribs were bruised and painful for over a month. I knew I wanted a watercolor tattoo and was having a tough time finding a place in the Boston area with artists that are comfortable with the style. I stumbled upon Unicorn Ink and sent them an email with photos and link. I got a response back with some feedback and suggestions and I was sold. I set up an appointment for a few months down the road and got my tattoo done in late January. When I came in for the tattoo, I was a teeny bit nervous. The whole process was so easy - Greg really understood what I was looking for and came through- we made some changes to the stencil design, resized it a few times and found the perfect spot. He asked me for my opinion and preferences and kept checking in on me during the tattoo and after. I was so happy with the results and I'm even more happy with the healing. I cannot say enough about the guys at Unicorn Ink. I just got my first tattoo and this place is incredible from the ambiance when you walk in, to the cleanliness, to the staff. The whole team at Unicorn are great to work with and extremely friendly. I had the pleasure of working with Angelo and cannot say enough about the quality of care and customer service he provides. He walked me through the process and assured me we would be going through this together. He helped with deciding between two photo realistic wolves and I have to say I couldn't be happier with the one we chose. The detail is incredible and it looks extremely realistic. I came in here for my third tattoo. My first two were each from a different (and good) place, but Unicorn Ink has definitely become my favorite. The parlor is clean and comfortable, and I got help quick. The whole place was clean, including the equipment. (Meaning a brand new needle of course.) I was tattooed by Nick. I knew I wanted an outline with a galaxy pattern. I gave him a rough idea, he gave me a rough idea on how it would look, and I expressed to him that I'm giving him free range on the galaxy pattern. You guys, he did NOT let me down. It came out more beautiful than I imagined, even my grandma (who's bitter but not unreasonable about tattoos) couldn't stay mad when she saw it. Grandma approved tattoos, guys! Grandma. F*cking. Approved. The best part is that Nick was super easy and fun to talk to. I felt like this was a close friend giving me a tattoo, and I even hugged him on my way out. I will have to come back to this place. I've never been this comfortable and excited about my ink before. Getting three tattoos from here, they definitely deserve a 5-star rating. Each time was with Greg, who I believe is the owner of the place. The staff here is very friendly, and will give you their insight if you ask for it. Usually I do because they are the experienced artists, and the advice they give and the ideas they come up with are phenomenal. Greg is an awesome guy and funny too. The gentleman at the front desk is so sweet and will listen to what you have to say. These guys know what they're doing, and they're doing a good job at it. Anyway, I get many compliments on his work, and I myself admire them very much (I literally stare at my tats in the mirror, I love them so much). The place where the tattoo is being done is very clean, and very well sanitised. I was actually impressed with how clean it was, whoever does the cleaning in the studio definitely needs to clean my room for me. What a great find through Yelp! I already knew what I wanted done and wanted to check out shops in RI while I was up here from NYC. Yelp deal was $150 value for $90. I was too curious to not check it out. Stepping in the shop, I was impressed with the facility and had a good conversation with one of the owners, Dave. He's not one of the tattoo artists, but is a graphic designer. He helped me get my design onto paper down to exact measurement. Jim did my work and I was impressed with his art. Considering how much I saved through Yelp and the prices already being WAY better than a similar quality shop in NYC, I got a second piece done on a whim. I'm probably going to schedule future work around my trips to RI from now on. While I was a little worried they didn't already have reviews on Yelp, considering how new they are and how positive my experience was, I'm happy to be the first review (and I don't do much reviewing). Best tattoo experience I could have asked for. A friend recommended Unicorn Ink to me when I told her I was looking to do a larger color piece (all my previous tattoos were small, simple, black ink). Any nervousness I had at all disappeared as soon as I walked into the shop. It's by far the cleanest, most welcoming shop I've ever set foot in. Very cool, comfortable set up. I love going to Mikey for piercing, the only place I will go now honestly! Came across unicorn ink after a rather bad experience at another piercer and was really apprehensive at first because of it but everyone there is truly awesome at making you feel welcome and like a person not just a client. Mikey is so friendly, takes his time to go over what you are gonna feel and after care really well along with taking his time to talk to you, this really takes the nerves away. Unicorn Ink staff went out of their way to squeeze me in last minute (due to a late cancellation). Greg was my artist, he checked in with me multiple times about my ideas, wants, and needs regarding my tattoo. He took the time to ask me questions and resized the tattoo stencil five different times to fit my needs. When doing this he demonstrated consistent patience and excellent customer service. Greg was considerate enough to discuss the bruise I had on my arm where I wanted the tattoo by openly having a discussion with me about his concerns of possible bruising after. (I took accountability and went through with the tattoo - will update if any bruising does/doesn't occur). As a customer I felt well informed and taken care of. My best friend and I were really set on getting a tattoo and our first attempt at finding a satisfying tattoo parlor failed, however when we were searching for more tattoo parlors on google, we came across some pictures of art the unicorn ink has done. The tattoos looked amazing and we read some reviews that said it was a great place, so we decided that Unicorn ink was definitely going to be the place where we would get our very first tattoos done. I cannot even emphasize the amazing customer service they had. David, the owner, was very friendly and walked us through the procedure of coming up with a design. I recently went to Unicorn Ink for my first tattoo. I had googled tattoo shops closer to my house and wasn't super impressed with the reviews/pictures and was feeling underwhelmed. I expanded my search into Rhode Island and was psyched when I found Unicorn Ink. The name alone caught my eye along with their logo. While looking through the artist's work I was loving all the Zelda tattoos that people go to them for and just overall interesting work. I e-mailed them and got a response in under 24 hours. I made an appointment for a consultation, met with Nick and showed him what I wanted and made an appointment to have it done. Nick did an awesome job, as soon as he started I was no longer nervous. It has been a week and there has been no issues and the tattoo looks as good as it was on the first day. I am literally obsessed now and will be reaching out to Nick again for more. Being new to the Pawtucket area it was difficult to find a new tattoo shop that I could comfortably go in, get a piece done and leave satisfied. I checked out Unicorn Ink and exchanged back and forth emails with the owner (Dave ) regarding a piece I wanted done. He was extremely helpful and knew exactly what I wanted done and it didn't take long before I was filling out paper work to get started. It's in a great location off mineral spring with great parking and a cool (purple) atmosphere. The tattoo artist (Greg) went over the design with me to make sure I got exactly what I wanted.
