TWO OBJECTIVES....save money and have reliable service!!!! Never heard of this company but I was never happy with Xfinity/Comcast. We were Xfinity clients for over 15 years. Over that period, I spent way too much time navigating the customer support and "retention" team to limit the 2 year term increases. The Xfinity sales and support staff were only good during the signing up phase. Overall the Xfinity services were good but the negotiating and cost became problematic. I told UGS what I was paying, but they insisted in seeing my bill. I found this intrusive but it did save time in me knowing I wasn't missing something. Xfinity lumps many services together and floats discounts across services so the UGS analysis was actually helpful. I am stuck with Xfinity broadband but switching to UGS for the phone system saved us 30% and thats with Xfinity taking away our bundled discount!! 5 YEAR CONTRACT!!! I was mad!! Then I realized it solved my cost increase issue, after all my Xfinity service never decreased after the 2 year terms, it simply discounted the new higher price for 2 years! The UGS phones are modern and wifi capable. Their coordination for the installation was excellent. The technician showed on-time! The training for the phone system web portal was informative and helpful to our needs. After 6 months we have no complaints. We are using the UGS phone and phone service over the Xfinity broadband. The one outage we had was storm and broadband related. Once our internet was restored the phone service was back online without the need UGS assistance! The switch was a great move!! read more

Transferred service from 8x8 which we implemented in 2008. UGS salesperson was new but transparent. Reached out for support when needed to ensure my questions were answered accurately. 12 phone numbers were successfully transferred. We opted for new equipment, and it was helpful that UGS offered a variety of models, including wireless handsets. The phones were easy to configure onto our networks. They are also wifi capable allowing placement in locations previously not serviced. Both the network configuration and the training meetings were scheduled around our availability. The technician showed at our office on-time! The equipment was also shipped and received according to the schedule. Tracking numbers were made available as soon as they were created. The training session was comprehensive. It trained on how to set up each extension plus all the forwarding features needed for a business that conducts trouble-desk contracting. The training person was careful not to be too technical but still answered all questions. We had options to renew with 8x8 and Xfinity. The 8x8 experience was limited and the portal was difficult to navigate. Several of us have Xfinity for residential service, and it is the worst customer service, probably by design. Their business service is likely better, but guilt by association! UGS executed the equipment delivery, install and training as promised! The equipment has an easy customer interface. Business has been steady but margins have been tighter. We were called by a UGS representative who seemed to only care about getting a yes to have an appointment scheduled with a local sales rep. The felt confident that they could save us at least 20% on our phone bill. Doesnt seem like much but for our business saving 450/500 a year is not trivial. Plus our phones are older. A few days later the local rep came and to speak to the manager or person responsible for the phone bill. We were a little taken back but we gave her some time to go thru the pitch. Basically she explained that they can be a total service provider for internet, phones and tv. They arent xfinity but can manage our xfinity service. They work on a 60 month service cycle so the rates are much lower than what xfinity offers. Deal was lower than our xfinity teaser rate two years ago and 25% less than our current bill. PLUS WE HAVE NEW PHONES! So wireless too. The representative wasn't over confident and had no problem saying lets ask the manager. I guess that's better than lying... The install happened on the planned date and time and the training felt usefully too. Overall a productive experience that lowered a fixed cost and is locked for 60 months! read more

From start to finish, our experience with Unified Global Solutions (UGS) has exceeded expectations. The nine phones that make up our system are quality devices and the service has been solid from the get go. We had some special hardware requirements (strobes flashing when the phones ring) and UGS was able to get those integrated without missing a beat. The system's feature set is amazing and is a fantastic improvement over the Sp*ctr*m service we had previously. We tried V*n*ge for a month or so, but the voice quality wasn't that great and it seemed like their business model was Nickel and Dime the Customer. Every feature V*n*ge wanted an extra monthly charge for was included in UGS's system as a standard part of the package. Everyone I've dealt with in UGS (Zach, Laura, Amanda, and our installer guy whose name I've forgotten) has been really customer-focused and have done everything they could to ensure that our migration was successful and without issues.
