This review is purely based on the amazing direct service we received from our amazing tech rep. His name is Quadri. From day 1, installing 30+ phones in both of our schools in Austin and Round Rock, to most recently, fixing the phones that lost connection due to bypassed routes from the AT&T internet connection, that also caused no connection to the printer. One phone call away and Quadri came as soon as he can, or he would give you an estimate in time when to expect to come in. He is the top in service! His tone is gentle and the (tech)language is understandable. He's the professional and we trust him with what he can do best, as he is great in explaining & reporting in what the causes were and what had to be done to get it fixed, and doesn't leave until the job gets done. Quadri has been in 5 times, so far, and he gets the job done. We are always happy to see Quadri with SpectrumVoIP! read more

They could not provide the service they agreed to. Phone calls drop or are difficult to hear. Faxes don't come through. These issues have cost me a lot of business. Many, many, many trouble tickets, emails, phone calls later and it still doesn't work. I've lost business from potential customers, lost wages paying employees to spend hours troubleshooting with SpectrumVoip, and they now won't let me out of the contract. I'm (mostly) past the angry stage and just sad that people/companies have no problem treating others so poorly. Please don't use this company. read more

Terrible company. The salesperson lied to us and convinced me to sign a five-year agreement, personally guaranteeing it, stating that the personal guarantee would be dropped within a year. It was a complete scam. The salesman quit several months later, and we are STUCK. Terrible service, with dropped calls. I honestly don't know where to begin. We were convinced to sign a long term agreement to switch over from AT&T service. Since we have had the phone system in 2023, 60-70 percent of the time, the phones lose connection despite being next to the central base where the desk phones are. We have lost a significant amount of business simply due to the fact that the phones are not reliable and despite replacing hardware from repeated issues, continue to have problems. I have sent emails making them aware of the issues, but they simply DO NOT CARE. read more

We were promised a kickback of up to $2,400 for switching our business services to Spectrum--money that was supposed to cover fees left by our previous provider. Specifically, we were owed $1,842.04. It's now been over a year, and not only have we received nothing, we've been completely ignored. Despite multiple follow-ups, not one person has provided a straight answer or taken any accountability. It's clear this was nothing more than a bait-and-switch to get us to sign up, with no intention of honoring the agreement. As a B2B company with over 5,000 customers, we make frequent recommendations about service providers--and we will absolutely not be recommending Spectrum. Their complete lack of follow-through, communication, and customer support is unacceptable for any business, let alone one trying to serve other businesses. If this is how Spectrum treats new customers, I can only imagine how they treat long-term ones. Proceed with caution. read more

We just switched to SpectrumVOIP. We have only had the system for 24 hours, but so far it is very user friendly. Our sales person, Miguel Aguilar was very helpful in getting our old contracts bought out. He worked hard to get pricing for us that works well for our company. Loreto Cota was the representative that interviewed us to get the system set up before David arrived to install. She was very through and listened well to our needs for a phone system. David Gilarran arrived early to install our phones. He was through and helpful. The training went smoothly. He is a very friendly fellow, so the time spent to set up the system was enjoyable. read more

I wish I could give this company a zero star. We have had billing issues every month for the last four months. When I call customer service, they are not helpful. I have to escalate to get the proper billing adjustment, and I've had to do this every month for the past 4 months. They continuously overbill me and I have to waste my time sorting it out with them each month which is no easy task. I submitted a ticket yesterday as required to get my billing issue resolved, they basically told me to go away and closed the ticket. This is so disruptive to my workday each month. This company has the worst customer service that I have ever experienced. We have been attempting to solve an issue where we are unable to pick up when a customer calls and the customer is being connected to another (random) line. I have been attempting to get into contact with someone other than the technical support line with no luck. Technical support is no help whatsoever. Their only advice for any issue you call with is to check with your internet provider. Our internet is fine and nothing has changed overnight with internet... The best part- they ask for a callback number. Sorry but you can't call us back because our phones won't let us pick up your call. read more

We are using this VIOP with the Yealink phones. They were fine for the first year, but now they are breaking up conversations which causes us at the office to constantly ask people to repeat themselves. As most of you can attest to repeating yourself over and over is infuriating. My co-worker and I HATE these phones and HATE does not even come close to the way we feel about them!!! The absolute worst service and company that I have ever had to try to cancel a contract with. Their service is abysmal and their business practices I consider beyond terrible. Unfortunately they convinces my father he was signing up with the same company we use for Internet, which is also names Spectrum. This company's customer service is despicable. They represent themselves as being part of Spectrum internet or a branch of that Company and they are not. Bate and switch scam. When my phone service went down on my business I called spectrum who told me they were not affiliated with them at all. My business phones were down for 5 days . I ended up hiring a different company to get my phones working. Now they are trying to make me pay their contract when they could not get my phones working. Needed a copy of a detailed phone billing because of a possible LAW SUIT for my employer. Called and was told that it can only be picked up in person with photo ID. Will be printed up upon request. Went down and waited 45 minutes as the customer service rep tried to pull it up in 3 different systems. Could NOT, she created an "urgent" case and said someone would call me. 4 days later, no call. We have an attorney office in Florida. SpectrumVoIP came in and lied to us. Said they were Spectrum we signed up. Service was decent at first but it has had so many issues the last year. We call them and email them multiple times weekly to the point now we just email the CEO directly on a regular basis. They send techs out who replace equipment saying it went bad but the service never gets fixed. They blame our internet provider so we switched same issues. They blame our wiring we have the building rewired no improvement. They just lie and lie and lie and never fix the issues. We have hired an IT company who came in and did trace routes and proved their service is dropping yet they can't fix it. They refuse to let us out if our contract despite all of these issues. I filed an FCC complaint with them and we are filing a law suit for damages and holding our phone number ransom. You can even read indeed reviews on past employees who validate they do this to everyone. Do not do business with this company if you want to have working service. read more

Not the worst phone company out there, but there are definitely better. If you solely rely on desk phones, this company might work for you. If you work mobile and on the go a lot, this probably isn't the company for you. I'm constantly having phone issues. Such as connection issues, low quality calls, and the apps... the apps are the worst. I've tried every app and they can't seem to get the apps to work properly. I have missed calls DAILY. Tech support response is good but it seems like they put a bandaid on everything and wait for it to go wrong again. Overall, I wish they were more advanced in technology. I mean you can't even send pictures... Consider reading all of the reviews before signing that NON-CANCELLABLE contract. read more

Was doing fine with Spectrum Voip until we found a better deal and tried to switch. We tried for 2 months to get these people to port over to our numbers to the new phone company (Charter Spectrum). Even though they are bound by law, they found one excuse after another to not port over my phone numbers which allowed Spectrum Voip to continue billing us. Half the time Spectrum Voip would say they never received the request. The other half, they would say we gave the wrong account number even though the correct one was sent. This happened 6 times in 2 months. These jerks were literally keeping our phone numbers hostage. When attempting to actually call the person in charge of these matters (Kristine Dimas), I was told she did not want to talk to me and to use email instead. Wow! In my effort to try every angle possible to switch away from Spectrum Voip, I learned that my toll free number was a whole different animal than my local lines and that it was ready for new service regardless of what Spectrum Voip does. Since our customers only know our toll free number, I decided to just get new service with new local numbers to go along with my toll free number. If I didn't have the luxury of abandoning my numbers, I'm sure I would still be battling Spectrum Voip to this day. This is the first and hopefully the last negative Yelp I ever give. read more

Run as fast as you can in the other direction. To start with you have to sign a 4 year contract that they will sell to another 3rd party and call it a lease for the equipment that you cannot get out of. The equipment could be bought for less than $1000 and you end up paying $8000 over the 4 years. When I told them the salesman did not give me the correct information about my options I basically got a "Oh Well" that salesman isn't here anymore so we cannot verify what he told you. The service is unreliable at best. We were without service 2 or 3 times a month. As a business that depends on phones for service to my customers I cannot stress enough that this is not the way to go. I will have to pay their extortion for the next two years to satisfy the contract, but I do not have to continue with this type of phone system. I have already gone back to at&t, They may be 3 times as expensive, but I can depend on them. read more

I wish I could post something positive here, but I cannot. This company and their business practices are deplorable. Proceed at your own risk of errant billing, shoddy service, promises broken, and in my cases numbers stolen, phones disconnected, and bills for services and equipment not owed. Here is the story.... We agreed to a test out their service as they offered a "try before you buy" type option where we would simply use a temporary forwarding from our current provider while checking out their services. That seemed risk free, so we did. Unfortunately, it did not go as planned. First off they showed up unannounced, removed our equipment and installed new phones. They didn't schedule this nor was I present as the business owner. We were TRYING their service because of some things we couldn't administrate on our current system without calling in techs, such as old extensions, departed employees, need to change greetings, etc....Rather than meet with us to PLAN how we would like the service to work they simply copied the entire old system onto theirs and left. My staff had no idea I hadn't authorized this. Later on, we couldn't even find our old equipment. We don't know if they took it or not, but POOF, our fully functional and paid for PBX phone system and all the phones are gone. Additionally, it was mandatory that we keep a hard fax line on analog. We explained that to the salesperson, but we didn't have fax service, and all this time, they never got it to work. We don't know how many things we missed.... This was simply a lie that they later told us we could buy a device for and pay an additional fee to get fax service. Or use e-fax, which was not what we wanted. We also experienced a ton of dropped calls, poor voice quality, and other service issues as well. They never fixed it. I have even had to pay some external IT people to resolve issues with the router and our network, in order for it to continue service in the interim. They kept promising to fix stuff, but NOTHING. Then after I got so mad that I told them to cancel the whole thing and come pick their stuff up and reinstall our old system, they changed their tune and sent out a General Manager. He was profusely apologetic. Said he'd fix everything. They'd GIVE us the phone system, if we'd just try to work it out, because he recognized that it was misrepresented, and that it was supposed to be new but was an OLD USED SYSTEM they tried to BILL as new. WE gave a long written list of our issues and stipulated that we would not sign a LOA to move service unless they could address those issues. Sadly, they never fixed any of it. It didn't get better. They kept billing, and I kept saying I wasn't moving from my other provider. Then suddenly my service went off, even though I was paying the other provider and just had the phones forwarded. What I didn't know is that they PORTED my phone numbers away from my old provider without my permission. I couldn't just shut the forwarding off, as I needed them to take out their crappy old used non functional equipment and put my system back in or we wouldn't have phones. They new that and I believe that is why they refused. Ultimately, once they had control of my numbers, in violation of FCC law governing the internet and VOIP providers, they used aggressive and illegal tactics to try to harass and extort money out of me. In the end, which still hasn't come exactly, I sit here with them having PIRATED my numbers away that I've had for business over 25 years, and now they are holding them hostage to get back, wanting me to pay for a system that I didn't order and never accepted. I've been forced to make an FCC Complaint, a Better Business Bureau Complaint, and next up is the filing of a lawsuit for the countless lost hours of productivity and all inbound calls for over a week, which we as a business are totally dependent upon. MY advice is as simple as this. Use them at your own peril and risk. I think they are con artists and shysters, and I will go to my grave telling people how bad they are. The whole story is indeed more detailed and complicated than this forum allows, but I'm not hard to find, and I'll gladly share my story with you in hopes that it helps you make a better decision than I did. They close out the ticket like champions of service like some kind of victory, then when I call back they act like it is a new issue. This company is a SCAM!!! Service only worked great for a month. Then decided to not take in coming calls and started ghost calling (having a call with no one there) ever 10 min. Had technitions out numberous times but could not afford the loss of business I was getting. Had to switch but Spectrum Voip would not release contract from Marlin Leasing or even other to care. They have horrible customer serice and Analise in collections will not help you. They do not care because they already have their money from Marlin Leasing. Don't bother using them because it only worked for a money but I would have had to pay our a 5 year lease because they would not release contract. Luckily Marlin Leasing worked with me. But this company will not work with you at all. This was by far the worst company I have ever dealt with. read more

Avoid this company at all cost. They will require you sign a 3 year contract and when their service fails, require you to buyout the contract even though they are unable to support your business needs. I am the Director of Operations for an international company and found that I constantly had to have our team contact their support when unable to call international numbers. Come to find that their algorithms will "black list" certain countries and we need to call every time to have them "white listed". After a few weeks, we're back to square one and unable to call that country again. For a VOIP system, you would think more bandwidth would improve your call quality. However after we switched to fiber-optic 1gb internet, their equipment failed and started bottlenecking all of our bandwidth. When asked if they had other equipment to support the upgrade, we were told they did not. Their support is not helpful and their system is not adequate for companies larger than 5 employees that need to operate 24/7 or internationally. read more

These guys called us about their VOIP product two days in a row asking to speak to the owner of the business. The fella gave me some line about a lady named Linda giving him our name at a networking thing. I don't know anyone closely named Linda. However, I played along and listened to the guy for a while because I'm also in sales and, therefore, always take an interest in sales pitches. On occasion, you can learn something by listening to other sales folks' approach/script. The fella opened with the standard "cut your internet/phone bill in half" claim that almost all VOIP outfits claim. In our experience, once we get them in the office and cut to the chase, such claims, of course, turn out to be false. Anyway, he eventually gets to describing the phone system itself. The fella claimed that they manufacture their own phones and directs me to their website. He says they are called yealink. Fine. So, I look at the three phones on their website, then (this being the 21st century) punch in yealink into google. Surprise, surprise! There were many more than three versions available...and, they were available for sale everywhere, not just from them. Further, I found the corporate website for yealink and discover that it's in China. Okay, fine. Many things are made in China. So, I ask the fella again, "Where do you all manufacture your own phones again?" He says, "Irving, Texas." I reveal to him that I've found yealink for sale everywhere on the internet and, also, that I've found the company that manufactures them in China. The guy honestly, then, doubled down and said the internet things I'd found were wrong and the phones are manufactured by them - in Irving. Seriously, everyone. I'm in sales myself and understand it's a difficult career at times. But, this appears to be an outright lie. And, to me, it's such a stupid thing to lie about. I never advocate lying in sales. But, I mean, if you are going to "puff your wares," as they say in legal circles about boasting too much in sales, at least do so about something that isn't so easily discoverable from a simple google search. If you are going to proceed with their company I'd say do so with caution, verifying everything along the way. read more

Stay away from this company. They screwed up the install. They sold my 5 year contract to a third party who then increased my monthly fee by 12%. In the last 6 months I have had 3 outages where my phones did not work. The salesman did a poor job of explaining the true cost of the service. The salesman did a very poor job of explaining how I would be on the hook for the full value of the 5 year contract no matter what happens. That I would have to get a rider on my insurance for the full value of the lease ( because the 5 handsets really do have a replacement cost of $8000 ) And that I would have to pay property tax on the value of the lease. Spectrum VoIP told me there was a 'project manager' that was in charge of my installation. Then when Spectrum Business shows up and tries is install the solution incorrectly, it is up to me to figure out what is wrong and how did it happen. IP Phones still seem like a good idea, just find a different company to work with. read more

If I could do ZERO I would. I have been working with them on this problem for over several months. Each time they tell me its either Verizon's problem or our own in-house network problem. After I got all 3 companies on the phone, they found that it's SpectrumVoIP's problem. I spent the last several months on the phone with them reporting each bad quality call. Each time they tell me they fixed the issue but yet the problem persists. They look at their end and keep telling me that everything looks good on their end. I asked them if the box or wires could be the problem but they kept telling me that NO, no need to look at those because they can see everything. I am getting over 25 complaints DAILY because of the phone system. I understand that problems happen in every business, but my issue is that for several months of complaints from my business they just try to put a band-aid on the wound instead of finding a permanent solution and it seems like the technicians are not willing to move this to tier 2 or 3 technicians. I have asked for the manager to call me, NEVER DID. I asked for the owners of the company and everytime I get the same response "I cant even pronounce their name" They have no policy to escalate a problem in order to resolve it. Long story short, they might be a good fit ONLY if they experience no problems but if the slightest issue comes up then all is gone. Dont bother find a different company read more
