The shop has a delectable selection of sweet treats, including pastries, cakes (individual and slices) and chocolates. They also serve coffee drinks and have a good amount of seating if you are dining in. I loved this place so much that I visited it twice in one day for breakfast and an evening dessert. Their hazelnut pastry is something I still crave and think about. And make sure to try their sacher torte if you love chocolate cakes. It is clear why this business has stood the test of time. Had an embarrassing incident here in which I accidentally knocked a drink on what looked like an empty table. I gave a few euros for the drink and apologized to the customer. The owner had seen the incident and kindly gave me a free cup of coffee, which he did not have to do. Admitted the incident left me mortified and wanting to leave the cafe quickly. I hope to revisit Salzburg one day and go to the cafe again to have a proper visit. I will be more careful about watching where I walk next time.
