A few of my guests were a little disappointed that the song list didn't include a few karaoke favs like "I'm too sexy" and "I've got you babe"... but like any good group of drunks they butchered other popular tunes instead!! The only negative thing I have to say is, current economy considered, the price was a little steep at $162.00. And if you really do your homework after a few rentals you could purchase the equipment yourself and rent the crap ton of discs!! I said that wouldn't work for us because we'd be setting up the karaoke on the back patio so we needed a monitor. He then said he had one and would have it all ready for pickup, which I thought her was odd but gave him the benefit of the doubt. My husband picked it up the next morning and Kurt plugged everything in first to make sure it all worked. The monitor wouldn't come on at first, Kurt unplugged it and plugged it back in, then it worked. Kurt said the cable just wasn't plugged in all the way. Throughout the party we struggled with the monitor malfunctioning. I texted him the next day and said, "We had issues with the monitor as you probably know" but he didn't respond to this text comment. When I returned the equipment in-person he asked me about the monitor not working as if he didn't know. I explained the details of how it wasn't working, including that we had to repeatedly unplug/plug it back in, plus there were times the monitor screen just went blank even though we could see that power was reaching the monitor, so it didn't seem like a cable issue. He didn't seem surprised or concerned, was unapologetic about the issues, and was mostly quiet about it altogether. He did not offer me any customer service options. We had a good time regardless but I believe he may have knowingly rented me a malfunctioning monitor. It was also confusing finding his house once I entered the gate. We rent karaoke equipment probably 4x a year and will rent from another outfit next time.
