the confirmation of room 809 vera mvp room granted

i made a reservation for room 809 vera mvp room which was the most expensive room for my boyfriends birthday. sadly when arriving they put us in a room that had no aesthetic and looked like a storage room. i was very disappointed when having to pay full price on a room that i reserved for but wasn't the same that was advertised at all. if i would have known that i would not have reserved the room or payed that over priced payment for the room they put us in. the lady upfront was very nice and gave us waters and showed us how to work the machine but having to pay over 200$ for two hours on a room that was not promised is very disappointing. my friends and i still had fun but this was my boyfriends birthday and i needed it to be special. photos of what was on the website and got the approval of the reservation vs what we got below..

the room that was given to us..no aesthetic, no designs, blank walls, warped mirrors, purple seats, and gray tables that weren't stable..

Curious price list. Note the "Additional Music License Fee" running diagonally along the top right corner.

The pricing list is at best comically asinine if not intentionally misleading. There is a price list with a table of numbers posted on a tv monitor at the front counter. These numbers are not the actual prices that you pay. Note that you have to pay an "additional music license fee" of 20% on top of the prices listed in the table. Adding to the confusion, the price list on their website states that the fee is 15%. This strikes me as an unnecessarily convoluted way to communicate prices. Customers would benefit from having price information displayed in a clear, complete, and succinct manner. If the manager does not intend to purposely deceive customers into thinking that prices are lower than they are, then the full cost per hour should be reflected in the table of prices.

Their app can be scanned with a QR code once inside but rarely works. You can only open it with WeChat but I have never been able to get it to load the homepage to do anything.

The "deposit" is the base rate for one hour and then they charge an hourly fee for additional hours plus a 20% licensing fee. If you pay online they should already include the additional fees.

No! They have plenty of American and foreign artists in addition to Korean music. You can also use their app to select your own music if you can get it to work.

Since we were planning the event from out of town, having a team we could trust was incredibly important -- and Bailey and the entire staff handled everything flawlessly. Even the decorations were set up beautifully and exactly as we had hoped. The food was excellent, the staff was friendly and attentive, and everything ran smoothly from start to finish. A special thank you to Bailey, the Event Coordinator, who was wonderful to work with throughout the entire process. She was organized, responsive, and made everything feel easy and stress-free leading up to the event and the night of the dinner. The highlight was definitely the Rafter Room -- it was even more impressive in person than in the pictures. It's a lobby bar/game room and the bartender also serves as the person who checks you in. Rooms are bare minimum: thin mattress, no comforter just a blanket. No rugs or couch or any furniture and the walls were thin, making it hard to enjoy a quiet stay. The blackout curtains worked well. There was a huge beanbag chair which was fun. I didn't mind the lack of a closet. I thought the concept of hangers on the wall itself was funky, functional, and a better use of space in most cases. The "ironing room" -- a supposed area stocked with towels, toiletries, and other amenities. Unfortunately, it was completely understocked, for basic supplies like towels. It's clear there's a lack of attention to detail when it comes to maintaining the hotel's resources. There was a hotel restaurant but free breakfast is limited (parfait, fruit, muffin) not like other hotels in Marriott Bonvoy hotel chain offer. And overall this hotel is in a great location. Close to downtown Tempe as well as quick freeway access. Location is the only redeeming quality. The location is ideal, with a CVS right next door for any quick needs, and it's incredibly easy to catch an Uber, Lyft, or even a Waymo to explore different areas around the city.

The fourth floor looks terrible -- there are empty, broken-down rooms and the hallways feel neglected. The carpet on both the fourth floor and first floor is in very bad shape and looks like it hasn't been maintained in a long time. Inside the rooms, the flooring is actually popping up in areas, which makes the whole place feel worn out and poorly maintained. Overall, the hotel just looks very old and neglected now. The elevators are another concern. They make loud noises and honestly sound like they could break at any moment. There is also an unpleasant smell in parts of the building. When you get off the elevator and walk toward the lobby, you can see construction going on, which only adds to the messy and rundown feeling of the property. This place used to be a great stay when we first came here, but now it's honestly pretty shameful to see how much it has deteriorated. The location and concept are great, but the hotel clearly needs serious maintenance and attention.

Let me begin by saying planning a wedding is a strange experience unlike anything I've ever done…read more (Hopefully) you only do it once and so it's generally not something you come into well practiced. That said it's easy to let hubris kick in and think "throw a big party... how hard could that be? Maybe I'll do it myself"... DON'T. Of all the investments you will make into your wedding the choice of hiring a wedding planner might be the most important. Stranger yet is that you need to make this choice up front, but the true value is back-end loaded as you get closer to the event. Be patient. When you are feeling the pressure of pulling off one of the most important events of your lifetime and ensuring your 150 person guest list has an amazing time and that a venue you've never been to before beyond the tour is everything you wanted and more on the day, in your pictures, and in your memories, Bloom and Blueprint will be there. Casey was an absolute joy to work with. Up front she put in the work to help put us in contact with prospective vendors, give us guidance on the process, do some budget planning, and get some input on what we were looking for and generally give us an overview of what to expect along the way. She adjusted her style to ours letting us be as involved as we wanted to be and also present for anything we needed when we had questions. The truly heavy lifting started about 3-4 months out from the wedding date as the design meetings came about and it was time to start putting together a show-flow. If we had been left to do any of the design ourselves it would likely have been nice, but what Maggie and her team did was nothing short of stunning, and would have been impossible for us to come up with even with years to plan. We and our guests loved how original, fun, elevated, and high quality the decorations and florals were. We had a 14 hour day of ceremony, lunch, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception. Our requests were that we wanted it to feel effortless and unhurried to us and our guests. We wanted time to eat the food, drink the drinks, dance, and actually hang out with our guests. We didn't want to be ushered from place to place to check all the wedding boxes, we just wanted to have a good time on our wedding day with our favorite people. Casey organized everything in such a way that it felt seamless. Organizing the many vendors, working with the venue and advocating on our behalf, making sure none of the little details went overlooked and fighting any fires that come up to reduce the stress of the last minute unwelcome surprises. A story to highlight this was that one of our linens for the table coverings had become a central template for our program designs and seating chart etc. On the Thursday before our Saturday Wedding Casey and Maggie discovered that the linens were stuck in Chicago and were at risk of not arriving on time. Casey spent hours visiting other linen stores around AZ to find an alternate vendor, but the linens were proprietary to the original shop. In order to make sure their problem did not become our problem, Casey called me with a solution: they'd swap the tables and then do a custom wrap on the tables with the print. It turned out better and more impressive than if the linens had arrived as planned and there were no surprise expenses. We could not be happier with the way our wedding turned out and it is thanks in large part to Casey and Maggie.

We were anxious about the price, but it was absolutely worth it to have the details taken care of for you. From start to finish, she went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect. Our wedding weekend was such a success thanks to her dedication and hard work -- she truly made us feel like we were the only couple that mattered that weekend. Her knowledge of South Asian multicultural weddings was impressive (honestly, she knew more than I did!). We couldn't have asked for a better planner and can't recommend Casey and Bloom and Blueprint enough!
