My neighbor recommended Union Auto Repair. I had my car towed here and needed a new starter. Was quoted over the phone and they were able to fit me in right away. Thursdays seem to be a good day for them. The staff and mechanics were honest and respectful. They replaced the starter and I even got my oil changed as well. I had Jose change my Alternator and Starter. He had to remove the plastic fasteners to disconnect wires, flashing and such... In short he broke about 12 or so fasteners and did not informed me. Wires were hanging and could entangle with the radiator fan. I called him multiple times to resolve and he kept denying that he had done it. I inspected the car before and after the work, and there is not even a shadow of a doubt he did it. He did offer to fix, if I drove down to Chula Vista. It was not worth my time to drive to Chula when I could buy and replace faster. Cost was not the issue. It was the quality and lack of transparency that I am arguing... In short, I will never have him work on my cars and will share my experience with all. read more

friendly service but failed to test drive car before repairing. took in for wheel bearing noise, told them sounds like one side ( left?) to check it out to be sure. they repaired it without test drive to confirm which side. I picked up the car and noise same or worse. took it back and they confirmed never test drove before or after. paid them to replace the other side. they said it was very unsual for both sides to be bad at the time. maybe they weren't. read more

These guys are fast, honest, excellent mechanics. They have constantly repaired both my gasoline and diesel vehicles many days sooner than I'd have expected, with far better workmanship than I find out there on average.. They actually know how to troubleshoot stuff and properly fix it, as opposed to MANY shops I've encountered that just throw new parts at the vehicle (at your expense) until it works, and rip your wallet apart in the process with BullS##t. fees, absurd hourly wages, and.. well you know...... There are quite a few ripoff auto repair shops out there...Union Auto IS NOT one of them!! Trust me, I know good shops from bad... I won 4th place in the National Plymouth troubleshooting contest when I was a kid back in 1967, and I totally know both sides of this auto repair world. I just dont fix my own cars anymore cause I'm too old! Bottom line Union Auto is my #1 go to for car repair. Good guys!!!! read more

I have to say I'm not one to give out good reviews easily, but this shop is GREAT & deserving of one, I had my daughter's car in for a water pump that needed replacing & also mentioned an oil leak that no other shop was successful in stopping; these guys were able to fix everything right the first time. Enrique & Octavio are excellent in explaining the repairs needed to do the job right, they will show you the damaged/replaced parts & they are great with their customer service & people skills. Did I mention that I had several quotes done & that UNION AUTO REPAIR was a few hundred $ lower than the others? Believe me when I say you won't feel like you're being robbed by these guys.
