I called Union Line Garage because I had no heat and my usual garage told me they could not get the part for my Saab because it was out of stock. Jonathan spent over an hour trying to find a genuine Saab part, was unsuccessful, but offered to install an after-market part with the same 36,000 mile warranty. I had been using two different, highly-recommended (by Saab owners) garages since I moved to this area ...but I just had a bad feeling about the heater issue, and it turned out that I was right. Jonathan showed me a lot of photos of several safety issues that needed to be fixed asap as well. And it wasn't just the part the others said was bad, it was also the heater motor, which is what I suspected. So instead of having one labor-intensive repair now, with a more costly and labor-intensive job after the fact to actually fix the problem, I now have a car with enough heat for three cars. From start to finish, I could not be happier with my experience here. I have been driving a very long time, have had all kinds of cars including foreign sports cars, many Mercedes Benz's, several Saabs ...I've always gone to highly-rated new-car dealers or independent certified mechanics with great recommendations by car enthusiasts for regular maintenance and repairs ... but I can honestly say this is the absolute best experience I've ever had. Did I spend more money than I had anticipated? Yes. Because they actually found, and fixed all of the issues that I had a nagging suspicion about. They used all genuine parts and they were not okay with waiting until I break down on the turnpike to tell me, oh whoopsie, you need some work done. Jonathan was really helpful and there was no pressure. Everyone (Jonathan, Dan, Kyle) was very respectful and helpful. From the comfortable waiting area, to the loaner car, to the carwash (at the end, but they also offered to wash it after I got the inspection/estimate!), to the little things like putting my seat and mirrors back to the way they were, and, very importantly, keeping the bill to exactly what they quoted ... this is The Best place I have ever gone. read more

My problem was that my 2004 Mazda RX-8, with 63,000 miles, was hard to start when it was warm... It's ONLY been to the dealer, and it went in for routine oil, lube and filter...While there, I asked them to investigate and fix the hard starting when it was warm issue. After being there for TWO weeks...I was told by my Mazda Dealer I needed a new engine!!! But, THEY did not do that type of work, and could not recommend a place to go. They suggested I trade it in for something new... I didn't want something new, I wanted my RX-8 FIXED!! So, I looked on line and found a shop close to home that looked promising... I just had a feeling... I can't explain it, I just had a feeling...After talking with Kyle about my problem, he said they could perform the engine job if necessary but, they would like to give me a second opinion of my issue. He said they would check over the Whole car. I agreed and brought the car in for service.... Their Diagnosis... I needed a new Starter! They told me, "This was a KNOWN issue for Mazda and they have made (4) revisions to their starters for the RX-8." Mine was the original, and they felt confident my issue would be cured with the Rev.4 Starter. I have heard before how the RX-8's engines usually need to be replaced after 60,000 miles... so I was VERY happy about this diagnosis and told them to please proceed with the repair. After this weekend of Very hot weather and numerous short trips out and about, I am HAPPY to report UNION LINES Diagnosis was Right on the Money! Car Started GREAT when warm... NO PROBLEMS.... My Mazda RX-8 has a NEW HOME. These guys are great, It's all been said in the other reviews, and I wholeheartedly agree... Pro's, Friendly, Honest... I took my 2013 Honda (150k highway miles) to UL for the first time in Dec 2017. Besides them finding, photographing and forwarding images of a bad oil pressure sender, I asked them to check the front end suspension. It was clanking like a run down junker. I'd had local guys do strut work and I thought they messed up. So that Dec visit I got rear brakes and they told me I had about 8K miles left on the front brakes but they found nothing wrong with the front end suspension. In Mar, 2018, I take it back for an oil change and tire rotation (I'd been impressed by their professionalism in Dec). In between Dec and Mar the left front end started sounding like a baby carriage's squeaky spring during turns. Very embarassing. They took a ride with me but the car was warm and i couldn't get the squeaking to happen. I didn't think they could find it if the sound wasn't there and I thought "shoot maybe my well kept Honda is now entering junkerdom and a humiliating decline - perhaps an ominous metaphor". So Jonathan calls me - Mr T, we found the cause of the clanking in the front end "your brakes are worn down to x cm (very bad) basically you've got no left front brake". So I spring for new rotors and pads for both front wheels. My wife, who puts 100 m on it daily drives it home while I follow in a downpour for 20 miles. The invoice was on the front seat. I also got a new battery and some other small stuff. It's about $850 all tolled. I schlep into the house behind my wife like a drowned rat waiting for the electrodes and guess what. With a smile on her face from ear to ear she exclaims "It's perfect, it's tight, quiet, like new!" I didn't reply "Who, you or the car?" And that's why I'm writing this review. Union Line Garage is the type of repair shop that is hard to beat. Last June I was driving to Ewing for work when my car's head gasket failed and the engine overheated. Union Line was right around the corner from the hotel and had great reviews, so I left them a message about my predicament late Sunday night. First thing Monday morning, Johnathan returned my call and made themselves available to check out the car immediately, as well as set me up with a loaner car. Not only was their garage very clean, each and every employee I came across was professional and courteous. Their customer service really sets the example and is the best I've come across yet. Within a few days, my car was returned cleaner than I had left it and was running smoothly. Johnathan explained the 3-year/36,000 Mile warranty on their work, but since I live three hours away it seemed like it was just a warm fuzzy that I wouldn't be able to take advantage of in case of a problem. The team at Union Line garage was about to prove me very wrong. Several months later my Check Engine Light came on with a code for the Crankshaft Position Sensor, which was replaced during the head gasket repair. One quick call to Johnathan was all it took, and in less than 15 minutes he had secured an appointment at my local Bosch Service Center to have it checked out at no cost. It took two appointments, a few hours of labor for diagnosis and replacement of the sensor, and Union Line took care of it all. They really bent over backwards to take care of the problem and make it right without any hassle- that's what I call customer service! If Union Line was in my area, I'd be a regular customer. I have been going to Union Line Garage for a while now, and they have been extremely helpful, honest and reasonable ever since I began going. They have always been very clear about whatever problems my car may be having and what it will cost to fix it, as well as giving me a fair and honest timeline about any other problems my car may be facing in the future. I have never felt as though they were overcharging me, and I have never felt as though they were being dishonest in any way ( which for me is huge because I have never been able to trust an autobody shop for as long as I could remember ). One day I was driving and my car just stalled in the middle of the road and wouldn't turn back over. I had it towed to Union Line Garage because they were actually close to my house, but even if they weren't I would still take it there because I now have an autobody shop that I trust with both my car and my wallet. On top of that, they are also very good about staying in touch with me about any problems they may see while going over my car, and will get in touch with me immediately if they come across anything out of the ordinary. Even better, they even go out of their way to make sure they check in weeks later to ask me how everything is running. I have not had a bad experience with Union Line Garage and I feel that they not only do a good job, but even go out of their way to go above what most autobody stores would do in order to make sure their customers are both satisfied and taken care of. I've dealt with Johnathan and Kyle at Union Line Garage, and they're both friendly, respectful, and knowledgeable. I first learned of their business in 2020. They were so thorough in looking over my 2007 BMW 320i that I knew I wanted to keep doing business with them, no matter what kind of car I had. I now have a 2018 Buick Encore. Union Line Garage took care of installing a new exhaust system for me a few months ago, and they also alerted me to a coolant leak and that the dealership would repair that under warranty. They've thoroughly inspected my car a few times now without charging me anything. They always provide photos and a detailed report. I really appreciate their meticulous approach to working on cars and the respect and courtesy shown to customers. Johnathan also recently helped me out by phone when my parking brake got stuck, and I couldn't release it. It was very kind of him to take the time to listen and help me out. These guys are the best - they're honest and caring and do a great job keeping our cars in good working order. I've been in crappy situations with my car where I've called them in a panic, and 20 minutes later I was leaving their office with a free loaner while they fixed my car. Their repair costs were significantly less than what we were quoted at the Flemington BMW dealership - plus you get personalized service and they make it so easy to schedule repairs and maintenance. The free loaner cars and rides to/from our house are greatly appreciated - they've even dropped off my car at home on a day when I wasn't able to leave work in time to pick it up. Phenomenal customer service,solid repairs and free loaner cars. Prices are competitive. A great dealer alternative. I did have one situation where I paid $400 to repair the heat in my 20-year-old vehicle. When I got it back, the heat still wasn't working. We were headed out of town so I didn't call Union Line until a few weeks later to say the repair did not work. I brought the car back in and they quoted me another $400 to fix it. I said I'd just paid $400. They checked with the owner and ended up redoing the repair for free and I also got a loaner. Good outcome. Other places will argue with you and say the first repair did work even when you know it didn't. These guys were straight with me. read more

If you want to keep your car in excellent condition then Union Line Garage is where you should go. When I took my Volvo in for a minor repair they quickly diagnosed the problem, and the service manager Jonathan informed me of several other things that needed attention. He also informed me of several parts that needed replacing . One was urgent, and the others were simply mileage related maintenance issues. I absolutely love and highly recommend Union Line Garage. My experience with them has been nothing but amazing. I usually drop off my car but when I can't they come by and pick it up making my life (with four kids) much easier. I have found that on the very rare occasion there have been minor post repair issues the guys have gone out of their way to resolve the issue to my satisfaction . They are always upfront about pricing (bring your car in so they can actually observe it and look at it), make sure to call you right away if any hang ups happen, and are willing to work with you (within reason) on quality parts you want to install. When my 2011 BMW needed an oil pan gasket replaced Union Line didn't have their loaner car available so they reimbursed me for the cost of a rental car. They completed this labor intensive job within the promised time frame. And because I had a question about the wheel alignment (which turned out to be a non issue) and after I left a message cancelling the return visit, they called to be sure everything was working well. Went in for a new starter, came out with over $5,200 in repair costs. Rather than detail everything, Benz dealership quoted much lower labor costs on the same work. Asked the owner to lower his billed labor costs and he felt that his costs were consistent with what other garages charged, even though more expensive that the Mercedes dealership. Just on costs alone, would not recommend. read more
