This was my first time coming here. For vegetarians or anyone trying to eat more veggies, they have a veggie panini (more of a toasted bread sandwich) that is actually really good. The fried pickles are super good, kind of spicy, and come with a flavorful sauce. We were very tired and thirsty from kayaking all day, and our server was awesome at refilling our drinks right away! Our food took a while to come out, but it tasted good so not a big deal. Okay outdoor seating (if you're okay with being next to the bar) with corn hole game. My wife and I stopped in here for the first time for lunch on a rainy Thursday in Columbia. What a great place! Only offered boneless chicken wings... by far the WORST of the WORST. I highly emphasize on the worst part... chicken was basically frozen Tyson's nuggets down to the mystery mechanically separated chicken inside the " boneless wing" .., ordered them in the Caribbean Jamaican jerk flavor and it was literally seasoning thrown on top on the nuggets... Meh. I have to say the service was outstanding. There was something seriously wrong with the coleslaw. It tasted fermented. Despite being assured it was fresh by the kitchen, our server was very attentive and had them replace our coleslaw with some sautéed vegetables. Fish and chips were just ok. Large portion of fish. Fries were kinda soggy. Really glad I didn't order the Reuben because it would have had the yuck coleslaw on it. Didn't leave hungry but we won't be back. Just not our jam. read more

The food was very delicious. Caesar salad with shrimp and a burger with mushroom and Swiss cheese. The service was fine, but the owner would not accept the restaurant's coupon for $15. The coupon said the merchant would accept the coupon for the cash value, not the promotional value($30). I've been there numerous times, but this is probably the last time. This used to be a great place with owners that always made sure the customers were happy. Last night my family and I waited over an hour for our food and it wasn't crowded. Other tables got their food within 20 minutes. We asked 4 times where are food was. Sara, our waitress was wonderful. When they brought the bill they charged us the full amount - over $100. When my husband complained, they took off $10. Really? One of the worst dining experiences! Maybe the owners can't handle Square Mile and Union Station? read more

Came in for a late lunch before visiting Turkey Hill so it was mostly empty. We were seated in a dark upper room and it seemed like they forgot about us for a while. Our server was friendly, but service from the kitchen was slow. Food was good overall and an okay value. French onion soup was heavy on the vermouth or wine, crab dip was delicious, beef sandwich was good but not very filling, Stinger wrap was really good. Kids meals were okay. I liked the feel of an old school bar and grill, but we were uncomfortable most of the time. I was traveling with my wife and kids and Korean in-laws. We got looks from multiple patrons at the bar and in the restaurant when we came in, while we were eating and when we left. Fortunately my kids didn't notice so I didn't have to explain it to them. None of the staff treated us poorly, but it seemed like the customers never saw Asians or mixed Asians before and didn't know how to handle it. We love Union. Great Service. Good food, with reasonable prices. Try their house beer, Red Kepi Ale. One of my favorites. They have bands occasionally and also DJs and they normally sound pretty good. The outside area is nice too, especially if you're a smoker - you can bring your drink out and relax. read more

Barbecue wings and beer battered fries were delicious however we saw really delicious nachos on another table and when ours came they were actually the most pathetically topped nachos I've ever had. The veggie panini was mediocre and a little soggy. read more

We went here yesterday, Sunday, for lunch. There was no signage, like "please wait to be seated" or "seat yourself". They were NOT accommodating for dietary restrictions. In fact, the waitress we had said they don't know ANY ingredients of anything. When I asked if the meal I was looking at had the ingredient I can't eat, the waitress seemed annoyed. I am not the only person in Lancaster County that has dietary issues! I don't like being treated rudely for asking. They need to step up their game and have dietary information. They should also have a dietary restriction menu. The atmosphere was ok. I was just super disappointed with the service! If you have ANY dietary restrictions, BEWARE! read more

I had a wonderful experience here. A very large group came here after a personal family event, and they were excellent. They were very attentive to our needs as a group of over 20 people, and the waitresses were very friendly and patient. We ordered some appetizers and everything was tasty - especially the homemade soft pretzels! Great drink selection, service, and atmosphere. Cool building with bar area, 2 small rooms for dining and also outdoor seating. Stopped in for lunch today and it was delicious. Lunch special was Bruschetta bleu burger and cup of Maryland crab soup for $8. Sure can't beat that. Burger was hand pattied, cooked to perfection. Went for dinner on a recent evening after having ridden on the NW Bike Trail, and our group enjoyed it very much. We had their pretzel crab dip appetizer, along with their steak eggrolls, and both were very good, and something we've not seen elsewhere. Also had burgers, sandwiches & tacos, all of which were good, as well. Our waitress did a great job of checking on us frequently, getting refills on beverages, and making sure that we were enjoying the food. We really liked the outdoor seating area, which was what drew us here in the first place. We'll definitely go back next time we are in Columbia looking for a place to eat. read more

My husband and I stopped here with our kids to grab a bite to eat before we went to the Turkey Hill Experience. It's a quaint looking place inside and the bartender/waitress seemed to be taking care of everyone. She did a great job on checking in on us as needed. I would recommend the mozzarella sticks, cheesesteak egg rolls, soft pretzels, and their fries. I have only been here once to see a band a friend of mine plays in. I have to say that I thought this was a pretty nice bar for Columbia. It was clean, well lit, nonsmoking, and not too noisy. The service was good and the staff was friendly. One complaint I do have is that there was no door on the toilet. If you happen to need to go #2, you will have the pleasure of sharing the experience with anyone else using the urinal next to you. I also felt like maybe they could have had more TV's to watch sports, however I will not hold that against them as they do not claim to be a sports bar. I would definitely come back. read more

We are fairly frequent diners at Union Station but I am thinking those days are over. We had the worst experience there tonight. I had nachos which were very subpar. The cheese on the nachos was sparse and burnt. The other ingredients were sparse as well. My husband had the seafood soup and wings. The soup was lacking the seafood and his wings seemed liked they were cooked and recooked (very dry). I have to say the fries were good. I also have to comment the waitress was attentive. read more
