Beautiful venue. Accommodating, friendly staff! You can bring pets, your own food, plus they have a food truck frequently, and offer a few snacks in house. There's outside picnic tables, Adirondack chairs, a tent over a patio with tables, and cozy inside seating. Be sure to look at the vineyard soil display in the tasting room. Very interesting and well done. Helps you understand flavor profile and best soul for varieties. We love Unionville!

Cute outdoor spot - celebrated a friend's birthday, we were total of 15 people. We had a table reserved inside. It was on the lower level and was so dark and freezing with NO windows. It was in between the wine tanks / fermenters with cute lights but extremely secluded with no music. Outside was much warmer in the sun and there was a massive tent. Apparently that area is first come first serve AND you are welcomed to bring food whereas inside you are NOT allowed to bring food. Which I think they should get rid of, they said they had food/ grilled cheese truck? There was no truck, it was a dude inside with a grill and the wait was very long - we didn't bother. Upstairs had a small selection of meat/cheese and crackers/chips but very limited. From my experience at other wineries, they should amend the outside food policy. The bathroom situation is also very limited - we did end up being escorted to Farmhouse where a small bathroom under the stairs was available. Just a heads up for people! Get there early and grab a table outside! The live music outside was nice and we did enjoy the wine. Cheers!

Our second stop on our visit to wineries on a beautiful February afternoon that was unseasonably warm. Parking in a gravel lot and a short walk to the tasting room up a short flight of stairs. There were others tasting at tables and at the bar. We sat at the bar and were served by Jay a retired Ad Exec working here now to pass the time. Very gregarious and knowledgeable about the wines here and wine in general. We left him a nice tip. The wines were served in proper glasses with a dump bucket nearby. We liked the Chardonnay. The rose was nothing special and the reds were ok but stupidly overpriced. We noted a few reds were made with Chambourcin and we also tried a port made from 100% Chambourcin. We do not like that grape but thought we'd try this after hearing Jay's elucidation. Apparently that grape, if harvested early, results in an off-putting bouquet and taste according to him. This was not like any Chambourcin we ever had. We learned something. We would return for a tasting when in the area. Mark & Nancy.

The wine is exquisite . Absolutely one of my favorite wineries. I don't typically like Chardonnay but theirs is delicious and not oaky. The flight and tasting options are perfect to try a bunch of different wines. They are very high quality , mostly dry wines , priced reasonably . There is something for everyone . I have only ever sat indoors at the bar to do tastings and drink a bottle but There is an outdoor seating area with picnic tables. The staff is knowledgeable and is typically able to tell you all about whatever wine it is that you're drinking.

At this place you don't drink your wine, you sip it!! Unionville Vineyards threw my friends a great birthday bash!! The service was awsome & the wine was even better!!!

Stopped in this cute little vineyard on a whim. The scenery and surrounding areas are really beautiful with open fields. Myself and my friend went to the tasting room which was rather small. I don't know if there is any other tasting area. It had a nice homely rustic feel. We decided to taste six wines. The wines were very good. Some better than others as to be expected. It was interesting that they had a port wine which you don't typically see in jersey. I didn't get to try it though. It did get busy in the tasting room and there was only one guy doing the tastings. While he was fairly nice, he wasn't as attentive as he was to other tables. He also did not explain the wines as they were poured to us however we overheard him explain them to others that were there. The difference in treatment is enough for me to not go back. My four stars is strictly for the wines. They typically get food options from a local bistro however they didn't have them this day so we just had a cheese spread and some crackers. My advice is to eat hardy before going.

Wine tasting @unionvillevineyards Great property to visit with friends and family!! They were following covid 19 protocols really well. Wine tasting was for 16$ per person and they offered 7 assorted varieties of Ted, white and blush wines.. Our server Rich was very knowledgeable and was answering all questions very patiently. I thought the white wines were better than the reds that we tried. Just wish the reds were more full bodied. The port was excellent!! Overall great experience

Had a great experience here. Laura was exceptional at her job and took the time to explain different types of wine and what they would pair with. The atmosphere is cozy and quiet. Great wine , great service and great price !

By far my favorite vineyard in this immediate area. Stopped by with a friend for a tasting on a Sunday afternoon. The gentleman doing our tasting was extremely knowledgeable about their own wines and wine in general. We received 10 tastings for $10 (tax included but no souvenir glass). They have a great selection of wines, including dessert wines. The gentleman doing our tasting kept changing our glasses. He taught us the proper way to hold the glass. He also let us know that they do not use detergent to clean their glasses because the residue changes the taste of the wine. He was really filled with incredibly useful information. Before you go check their website for details. When we arrived at 3 pm we had just missed their free 2:30 pm tour. Also check out Groupon. I noticed a deal after we went. The gravel driveway was super slippery in the rain, use caution driving in.

We came (8 of us) on a beautiful fall day. I had won a wine tasting for 8 people at a tricky tray just before COVID hit. While the certificate was technically expired due to COVID and the precautions suspending tastings for so long, they graciously honored the certificate. We packed a beautiful picnic and headed there. I made a reservation through the general manager via email but when we arrived they had no record of our reservation. The manager on that day asked us to set up outside while he figured out how to accommodate our group tasting. He came outside to us to suggest a solution to them being completely booked but us being there. He suggested that he send someone outside and do our tasting there and as I said it was a beautiful day so we agreed. Out comes Devin, a young and extremely polite and knowledgeable young man, carrying a large ice tub filled with different wines. He started our wine tasting but since we already bought a bottle, he pulled that variation from the tasting so that we could taste 7 (I think it was 7) new and different wines from their menu. Devin was extremely knowledgeable of the area, the wine and the vineyard. He was also funny, polite and had a very generous pour...lol. We frequent another winery but this may be our new "go to". They were extremely accommodating even though they didn't expect us and their set up is extremely friendly. They have a beautiful property and allow outside food to be enjoyed on the property. There are several sitting areas and when they filled up, Devin (a man of many jobs) brought out folding tables and chairs for additional seating. We had a great time, spent the entire day in the picnic area and they were great!! We will for sure go back. Great job Unionville!!!

I will start by saying Unionville Vineyards is awesome. I have been twice in 2 months once in Oct and then again in Dec. I found this gem cause I wanted to go wine tasting and celebrate a friends bday. My first experience was outside. The scenary is beautiful. Both times I had the pleasure of having Rich and he is awesome. The wines are good. The blush one was my favorite. Rich remembered and even wrote my name on the bottle and said it's named after you now My girlfriends and I had a great time. Also love the fact you can bring your own food and they have tables there. The ambiance and the people were great as well always smiling and saying hello. I will definitely be back

I had a great time at Unionville. The vineyard is beautiful, even on a rainy cold day like today, and the ambiance of the tasting room was nice; rustic, relaxed and well curated. And the wine guide/server, Andy, was awesome: attentive, engaging, knowledgeable, and very kind. He made our visit informative, fun and exploratory. Then, on top of that, the wines were wonderful! I'm the kind of person that really only buys wines after a tasting if it was memorable, unique and I know I won't find it anywhere near me easily; I left with five bottles. Really good wine. Thank you, Unionville, for an awesome experience. Hopefully this will not be the last time I get to visit.

We appreciate the invitation from Karin, the Marketing Director, to explore and admire the space, indulge in wine and food, and enjoy live entertainment at this peaceful place. Views of the vineyard and Sourland Mountains are stunning and I couldn't stop gazing at all the beauty. Leashed and friendly dogs are allowed in the outdoor spaces which includes a seasonal tented area, the cabanas along the building, and they can walk around the property. The vineyard tent provides great shade from the sun and weather conditions and is an expansive space with lots of tables and waiter service. Come hungry and thirsty because the menu has so much to offer including Spanish-inspired tapas and entrees. We cleaned off our plates like Brie cleans off her bowl showing how much we enjoyed the pan con tomate, potato leek soup, and patatas bravas. Options include ordering items individually or opt for a wine & food pairing. On Saturdays and Sundays between 11:30am-2:30pm, brunch is also served with some nice specials and offerings. The wine selection is extensive too and we highly recommend a wine tasting flight to sample six varieties and I really enjoyed the reds, with Darryl Mack Cellars Red being my favorite. In addition to tastings, you can order a glass, or a bottle to enjoy with your meal. Live music and other events round out a wonderful experience and makes for a nice day out! We chatted with the manager, Omar, who is very friendly and attentive and was intrigued by Brie's doggy dance to get attention. This place is popular and reservations are recommended as seating cannot be guaranteed for walk-ins. Easily book your visit on their website and check out all that Old York Cellars has to offer. We were there the Saturday the day before Mother's Day - me, my husband, and two kids (6 yo, 18 mo). We sat inside because the weather was gross outside. We went back this past Saturday to take my parents who were in town and love going to wineries. The kids were with us. As we all know, this Memorial Day Weekend had awful weather. It was high 40s and raining sideways. We got there and the person (not sure if server or owner) said we were not allowed to sit inside with the kids. I asked how that could be given our experience to the exact opposite 2 weeks ago? I was informed that it said so on their website. But not to worry! We could sit outside in the frigid, rainy weather with an 18 mo old to eat. There were heaters after all - 8-10 ft above our heads. I checked out the website since apparently it said kids could only sit outside. When you navigate to "visit us" it has a picture of happy kids frolicking in the grapevines. Kids are welcome, enjoy a picnic, etc. etc. Buried within it says that the tasting room and veranda are reserved for adults, and that dogs are not permitted in the tasting room or veranda. So look, I get that some people want to go places and be in a kid-free bubble. I'm a whole adult outside of my kids and will happily go places that are kid-free so long as I have childcare. I'm also a respectful parent and if an establishment prohibits kids, I'm not going to try to take them there. For example, there is a winery near PNC that very explicitly states no children - on their website, on the signs in the parking lot, on signs at the entrance... so we didn't take the kids. But to say families and kids are welcome, to allow us to sit inside without ever mentioning that it was reserved for adults and this was an exception, and then to tell me while the dining room was 75% empty that my 18 mo old had to sit in cold and rainy weather because kids are inconvenient... Not great. Therefore, we didn't stay because I can find somewhere else to have good wine where people can make the empathetic decision to treat my kids like humans.

All tasty however, some did not sit well with my pallet. I really like that they offer oyster crackers to eat while you are tasting the wine to clean you pallet prior to the next tasting. I wish some other wineries would do that. If your pallet is clear prior to tasting different wines you will really be able to identify all of the notes of the different wines. The ambiance was nice as always. Tomasello Winery in Lambertville, NJ is a small quaint tasting room in the middle of old town Lambertville.
