The WORST movers ever!! I have never dealt with a more unprofessional company in my life!! We had to do more moving than they did, and paid good money for a lousy job!! We decided to receive a quote from this moving company after reading positive reviews on here. The staff in the office is pleasant and they offer discounts on their website. *Tip - you will save more money by taking advantage of one of their offers rather than purchasing a yelp promotion as they have a 3 hour minimum (i.e. Yelp promotion offered $100 voucher for $75 and if you follow them on twitter or "like" their Facebook page, you save $10/hour. Since their quote is based solely on time (plus distance & flights of stairs), I recommend doing as much of "the easy stuff" as you can to save money. Our movers were pleasant, handled our items with care, and nothing was damaged in the move. Phew! Love this place! Box Brothers makes the best boxes for shipping art. I use their mirror boxes which come in three sizes, and can be combined together for larger pieces. The square boxes are also good for shipping multiple small pieces, and their boxes are sturdy. Service is always friendly and helpful, and they carry the boxes to my car for me. I found this company to be untruthful and uncaring about a customer. They lied about their quote and would not come out to physically look at what needed to be moved. When it came time to move they took longer and then needed. Everything was already packed for them but they chose to take their time packing their truck with blankets and tape to secure the heavy duty boxes already packed. This company may have been in business for a long time but somewhere along the way the lost intergrity and have lied to a customer. I would not recommend them. There showed up exactly on time, were respectful of our yard and placement of a red carpet to protect floors, protected stairs and walls prior to moving and upon arrival at the new house. The WORST movers EVER!! I would never recommend this company to anyone!! Hell, I did more more moving than they did. This move should have been a piece of cake considering I had everything packed, organized and 90% of the boxes I moved to the garage myself. Instead, they sent 2 inexperienced guys, granted I requested 3 and the young man who supposedly had more experience packed the truck so poorly that my items barely fit. It was ridiculous!!! They are reasonably priced. I used them to move us from Oxnard all the way to northern Cali (Roseville). They came out promptly the times they told me from packing to unpacking . Was very amazed on how strategically they fit my 3 bedroom house along with the hoarding junk I had in the 26 footer! (Pros at tetris!) They arrived at the storage unit where I had a family member meet them. However, I had instructed them to put our road bikes towards the front so we can pull them out and use them as we pleased. But when I arrived to check it out, they had removed the tire on my bike and buried it somewhere in my 10' x 30' crammed storage. Not great thinking on their end. Also I am new to the storage company, and when I came into the office to make a payment, they had pulled up footage of the day unique moving came, and they showed me the soda cans, coffee cups and trash they left outside the unit. I was quite embarrassed and couldn't understand such a simple thing to throw away because that storage unit is SPOTLESS. Also inside my unit unique moving failed to throw away the huge wads tape that were used to tape blankets around the large furniture/appliances upon the drive. I feel like I am being generous giving 4 stars, but they truly took a huge amount of stress off my hands on such a long distance move. read more

I've moved more than a few times over the years and had some very bad experiences with moving companies so I know what I'm talking about. So I asked some close friends and my real estate broker who they use and which company is the best. I got referred to Rodney Watson with Unique Moving Inc. These guys were the best moving company I ever used. From the beginning of setting the move date (which I had to change once at the last minute which was no problem) Rodney was extremely professional and considerate in every way. The movers who came to move me, Randy, Carlos, and Richy, were just outstanding. These guys REALLY knew what they were doing. First class all the way. They worked hard, and fast, and most importantly were EXTREMELY careful (as I had many breakables and glass etc). I had moved away from this same condo 11 years ago with the same stuff into an apartment - and now with the exact same stuff - I was moving back to the same condo. The movers 11 years ago took 9 plus hours to do it with 3 guys. These three guys with Unique Movers - did the exact same move - in exactly 6 hours. And again, they were meticulous and careful at the same time. They just moved fast, worked smartly, and worked their butts off, hard to do that and be so careful at the same time. They filled the 24 foot truck top to bottom - and did it all - moving out and moving in - in 6 hours. I am beyond happy. Best moving company I ever worked with and can't imagine anyone doing a better job. Referring these guys to all my family and friends. I have used Unique Moving three times, so that should say something. The first two moves--a bolt was missing from my bed, a connecting board fell off the bottom of my bed, and they drove off with my step stool (which I later recovered). And the movers always seemed like they had drunk two pots of coffee. This third time was smooth as silk. My movers were Starla and David. What a team. They were not wired, yet got the job done in a timely manner, and were pleasant to be around. I did not tip them, because moving is so expensive, and I never understand why I, as a client, should help pay a mover's wages on top of the moving charge. But If I had extra money, I would have tipped them a lot. I will use them again in the future. read more

Ok so I used this moving company before and I like them. I actually used them twice. I need to use them on August 29th but they were booked. So I contacted starving students moving company. But when they showed up, the moving van had unique movers on it. But to make a long story short. The guys were ok, but they moved my furniture in a storage place.
