When we came in for our scheduled appointments we walked into the employees taking the temperatures of each customer and asked everyone to sanitize their hands before touching the colors on the wall, loved that! They had two chairs ready for our pedicures and every other chair was not being used. The chairs we sat at had plexi glass windows between yourself and the employee. The gentleman that I had doing my nails was beyond aggressive while doing my pedicure. I had to ask him to be more gentle. When he painted my nails he continuously refused to paint the sides and only the middle of each nail ?? I also had to ask him to put something in between my toes to separate them because they kept touching and taking the paint off. He seemed annoyed. He also never cleaned the edges with nail polish remover, so they look sloppy to me. When we moved to do my scheduled manicure he kept forcing me to have a square shape even though I requested a round shape, several times! He finally cut them the way I wanted after minutes. When he began painting, again he refused to paint the sides. I had to continuously ask him to paint the sides before I put them under the uv light. My thumb nail has a lump on the left side, none of my nails look clean, there is paint all over. I had to come home and clean the edges of all my nail and toes. I do agree with some reviews that they tend to cut you as he did with my fingers. BUT they do have a huge selection of colors if you like dip and shellac! I do not want to say that I do not recommend this location because of one bad first time experience, but if I do come back I am requesting someone else. Yesterday I had my nails done by Bella at Unique and she did an awesome job on my nails! I asked her if she could apply nail tips to my nails since I wanted them longer as well a dip manicure, and she did exactly what I wanted! She took her time making sure she was gentle and that my nails came out perfect. She was super sweet and I've never had a better nail experience! I've gone to Unique multiple times now to get my nails done and even though my past experiences there have been either a hit or miss, they have always been super nice! I highly recommend requesting for Bella at Unique to do your nails, and I plan on returning to her again in the future to get my nails done by her! read more

This was an awful experience; we'll never go back. 1. We got square nails, when we asked for almond. Even asked twice and still left with square! 2. We asked for flames...we got something that looks like a crab claw. We presented a picture so it was understood, but it looks like it was done by a little kid! Very elementary skills. 3. Skin didn't get cleaned off. 4. There is residue on the underside of the nails that is pointy and painful; catches on clothes. We are going to have to go somewhere else to get them fixed. I understand that there is a language barrier in many of these places, but this is completely unacceptable. The employees should at least understand the key words that are needed in the industry. My nails look great but my mom's looks so terrible that this review is getting one star. They chopped her acrylics off without asking and made them super short. When my mom was trying to tell them know they just went ahead and did it anyway. The underside looks horrendous and is super chunky and disgusting. I've had bad experiences in the past but decided to give them a try again especially since I had gotten a gift certificate for their location. I wanted to take my sister as a birthday gift and they charged us crazy amounts for very basic nails. I asked for a design and did not do what I wanted and ended up doing the nails just one color. I was really disappointed in this salon. We had an appointment but did have to wait a bit. Once seated, we were rushed into color selection and sat down. The manicure was rushed, the pedicure was rushed and the whole experience was anxiety inducing by the clutter, lack of cleanliness and the TV's hanging from the ceiling blaring an endless news cycle. I want to start off by saying that I am a very frequent nail Customer. I get my nails done about twice a month and have been getting them done for years. When I moved up to Fort Collins three years ago I thought I found my nail place here. However my experience today will make me never come back. The only reason why am not giving this place zero stars is because the three men who rotate full sets are extremely talented and do an amazing job. However, if you get anybody else to do your nails you are in for a horrible experience. I had just removed a set of nails and came in today to get a full set done. The lady who did my pedicure did an amazing job and towards the end a different lady came and started to do my full set. I told her from the beginning that I wanted coffin shaped Nails and that I wanted them pretty long. Next thing I knew she cut my nails extremely short and kept telling me that coffin does not look nice on short nails. Every time I tried to make a comment about how I didn't like the shape of my nails she just kept telling me that coffin didn't look nice and that he would make my nails look uneven. I have been getting my nails done in coffin shape for years and this has never been an issue. And secondly it shouldn't have been an issue because I told her from the start that I wanted a coffin shaped nails and that I like them long. When I try to tell her that I didn't like the shape she Got angry and told me that I should've told her before she put the acrylic on. Which I had and she did not listen to, she didn't even try to fix it she just kept telling me that it wouldn't look good if she made them coffin. A girl's day out after lunch on a snowy Saturday. It was nice that they had room for us and could get us in on short notice. The location is clean, the staff is friendly. However, they are quite a bit more expensive than my regular nail place. $50 for a shellac pedicure, the "classic" most basic level. Am I crazy? Or does that seem like a lot? I've had great experiences here (about 6 times) but my most recent visit, two weeks ago didn't go so well. One of the young males gave me a pedicure. He cut my nails and my big toe nail is now ingrown and causing discomfort. Two of my nails on my other foot have already chipped. I went here for the first time the other day and was highly impressed! Not only was Luis friendly, but he also took his time. We had a great conversation throughout my manicure and pedicure, and silence wasn't awkward. He went out of his way to serve me. He even removed calluses, which other salons charge extra for. While I was there I LOVED this place. They were attentive, took their time, and the outcome was great. Great ambiance. Definitely felt like I was treating myself. My pedicure with reg polish is staying awesome and I loved every second of the deluxe pedi. BUT... I have gone here multiple times and have had my nails done by multiple people . I get dip manicure . Unfortunately I have been cut every time I have gone and now refuse to go back . I always have to file my nails in the car when done because they are rough. They do last a long time though and I have gotten many compliments on the way they look. This is the worst nail salon I have ever been to with rude employees and an unclean environment. The man did not turn on the light for my gel acrylics and then proceeded to blame me for "not putting" my nails in the light which I did. He also was grinding off my old set so quick he cut me and I have nail polish all over my hands. Me and my 2 friends all have cuts which they put burning things on. My nails are bumpy and not all the same color. My friends are thick and not the color she asked for. Their is hair in our nails and they leave you with greasy hands. Took my daughter in law here today for the first time and was so disappointed. The woman doing my pedicure barely trimmed my nails and lazily took out a file and left them uneven and sharp. Had to ask to her to please file them evenly and smoothly across. Polish didn't go completely over all the nails. Crazy that they didn't seem to care about the quality of the job. Like a previous reviewer said, they cut your skin when getting acrylic nails! I was in at 6 pm when they close at 8 and the guy that did my manicure seemed annoyed that I was there later, but it was still two hours from close... he cut almost all of my cuticles with the little sander they use. Then, since some of the acrylic dried onto my skin, he started pulling my skin away from the nail on the underside of my nail. Also when they flip your nails over and use the small pointy sander to get all of the acrylic from the under side of your nails, he was literally digging it into my skin and nails while it was spinning. So so painful. I will never go back. read more

This was my first gel manicure (with a regular pedicure). I am VERY pleased with the results. (Both mani and pedi still look GREAT a week later.) The salon is fairly no-frills, but reasonably priced and reasonably friendly. (The young lady who did my pedicure was very nice, not chatty -- thank goodness! The guy that did my manicure was quite efficient and appears to have limited English language skills, which suits me just fine.) My ONLY kibbitz -- I wish they would use the plastic liners for the foor batsh like the California salons do -- i have heard too many stories about people getting serious infections from foot baths in nail salons. Made an appointment for me and two others for mani/pedi. We chose our color and waited for at least 20 minutes. There was a lot of people in there so we were patient. It was a terrible experience. Water was cold the whole time, the tech did not understand anything we tried to ask for (gel vs. polish) and we ended up just going with the flow. My polish was flaking off the next day. The tech used unclean supplies and there was nail dust EVERYWHERE. She cut my cuticles so short and badly that all of my fingers are bleeding and my skin is peeling back. Had to come home and use Neosporin and take off the polish almost immediately. I used to come here for all my nail appointments and I don't think I'll ever come back due to the hygiene in the place. read more
