My grandmother wanted to buy some shelves and she bought them. They told her to come the next day…read moreto pick them up. Something happened to where she couldn't pick them up, but she called and said she still wanted them and they refused unless she paid again even though they were sitting right there. And they said that they are doing work in the back of the furniture department so she couldn't get them the next day, they told her to come after, so she did. Then she decided to come into the store today (Friday, June 26th) when they told her to come pick them up and pay for them again and my grandmother said that they weren't very kind by doing what they did. And she began to scream at my grandmother. Turned into a screaming match over $6 shelves. Very unprofessional. I've worked at SeaWorld as a manager and I know nasty customers, my grandmother is NOT one of them, she was just talking about how they are supposed to be a community place and it didn't feel that way nor did they act like it. But either way, a professional establishment wouldn't do that and just be calm and nod. Even if they don't agree, fine, move on with your day. But there is no sense at screaming at an old lady. It's sick and disturbing. I really liked this place and I'm very disappointed how they have treated my grandmother. Not sure if I will go back. At the end of it all they said that they didn't have the shelves anymore (not sure if I believe that) and said they would refund her (not sure if they did after all that) the lady had glasses and long grey hair. Someone in the store had enough and tried to correct the man, she spoke plainly but matter of factly. The man grew flustered, screaming at her, chasing her down the street to call her a "liberal" and a "Karen". This woman had a small child with her, it was really gross to see him accost her after she had already left. The people working at the store kept loudly calling him a "customer" even though he was just stationed at the door, not looking around or shopping. Doesn't seem very Christian to berate women with children over something so trivial. It made everyone in the store uneasy. I'm sure that woman won't be back, I won't be back, I saw several people put their things down and file out of the store.
