It is exactly why we are such strong supporters of local small business. Their store was immaculate and very well organized. They were all so knowledgeable about everything and so patient with us. Brady was the main person helping us, but every person there, jumped in at some point and helped us out. It's just like a family does. We fell in love with this place, and we fell in love with this family too. Their candor, their vast knowledge of diamonds and the industry itself was mind blowing. They gave us all the warm fuzzies!! Most importantly, Collins jewelers does everything in House and that is a big deal to me. They don't send my expensive jewelry off, potentially losing it, and having someone else do the work on it. My wife's wedding ring had developed some nicks and cracks over the past decade and some change. We had taken it to several jewelers, all of whom said fixing it wasn't possible. When I came here, they had the same diagnosis as everybody else but a much different prognosis. Rob, one of the master jewelers, was excited at the chance to fix the ring up. He and Kathy explained to me everything that they would need to do and gave me a walking-out-the-door cost; no surprises. When I got the ring back a few weeks later, it was a piece of art. Really. The detail and love Rob had put into it was clear, as was his well-earned pride in his craftsmanship. The ring look even better than it did when it was first made almost twenty years ago. This is a place that puts love into their pieces, listens to their customers, educates their customers (I can't say how much I appreciate their explanations), and does excellent work. They went on to give me some tips about cleaning the ring, and they boxed it up very beautifully. This place is a great secret that I hope more people learn about. I wouldn't go anywhere else. It took him more the 30 minutes to reattach the band. Pure incompetence, I thought he was going to break it. They low ball you, then turn around and sale the item 4 to 6 times higher.
