A NURSE came out to see a patient and asked about a PAMPHLET that an Assessment Nurse had left with the Patient, who could not find it at the time. The Nurse got up, told the Patient that she would bring one the next time she came; and, if the one was found that was given to the patient to keep it with the medicine. The Nurse took no Blood pressure nor did Anything and LEFT. She acted as if the Visit depended upon that Pamphlet. She left, and was in-and-out within 5 minutes. This facility was assigned to my mom through her insurance to help with her physical therapy after she had a hip replacement. The case manager and PT coordinator was really unprofessional. My insurance company authorized a set of PT session for her recovery, after waiting a couple of weeks for the PT coordinator to call and coordinate a PT to come out, they never called so I called them. They claimed that all session was completed and that the case is closed. I have filed grievance claim with my insurance for Medicare fraud. Stay away from this place. read more

The service is pretty lousy! I'm eligible for more physical & occupational therapy but they are trying to deny me more. The nurse only shows up to my home to check my blood pressure and just leaves. To make things worse. I was suppose to get a wheelchair and other medical supplies but they are refusing to deliver them to my home. Just terrible! read more

Highly recommend against using this health care service. My mom had a full knee replacement and they failed at providing adequate support. They sent a nurse who was more concerned about receiving her payment than providing care. I then had to call them several times over several days to try and get physical therapy to respond to our residence. They quickly collected the payment for the physical therapy however never sent anyone over. I had to cancel my account with unison. If you care for your family and want them to receive care in a timely manner, I suggest you find someone else even if you have to pay out of pocket. read more

very bad experience with company . They don't call you on status I have to call evey time to follow up on my approved services like OT PT Nurse as to when is someone coming to provide the services . I called and asked who Iam talking to and direct number or extension and they don't provide that to you. Unison support to provide services for seniors or you suffer from other sickness. My physical and occupational Therapist are great and my nurse is good but the office people like your case manager is really bad. I don't know why do this kind of job that you supposed to take care of seniors or people who suffered stroke and other debilitating sickness . No empathy at all . I would not recommend this company .hopefully next year when I changed my insurance I can get other company that have empathy and big heart to people they take care of. read more

Hello everyone, I'm writing this in regards to Unison health services from day one my husband has been treated with unprofessional business. The center within itself as the receptionist, case manager and case manager supervisor of all very unprofessional, they have not yet to call me to keep me informed on what's going on with the services or his supplies I always have to do it Then they demanded that I learned to change a colostomy barrier. when I'm constantly telling them that it gives me anxiety to touch it I have to take the skin barrier off. When I tried he got very bd irritation around the stoma area. I can't do it. The nurse that comes out. Excellent I wouldn't trade her for anything. It's the inside that I have a problem I've never been treated so horrible in all my life. They expect me to do the calling to the insurance, calling the medical supplies . Unison Health Services - Laboratory Testing Near Me - Rosemead, California

All the reviews are right. This company is unprofessional. My father had a minor stroke and they told us that he would be getting PT and a nurse. They called 2 days after his release from the hospital stating she would be there in 30 minutes. My father was asleep at the time so I told her that I'd need at least a days notice, not same day. She then said she would be there on Saturday (2 days later) around noon. No call/no show. He was admitted back into the hospital. She called on Sunday saying she would be there within the hour. I asked her why she didn't call or show the day before when she said she'd be there and just said she was busy. I told her that my father was back at the hospital. Then I just received a call from someone stating that they were removing the order for PT because they tried to see him too many times and he wasnt available. I told her they no showed and they didn't give adequate notice. I told them he is set to be released from the hospital today if they aren't able to find him a rehab place for his therapy. She said he would need to get a new authorization for PT if he wasnt available by 3pm today (again, same day notice). We haven't even been able to experience the actual service and already having issues. My father is 76 yrs old and needs the PT so he can better recover from his stroke. I will be contacting his insurance company to file a formal complaint and have them find another provider. Good luck to those assigned this company for their needs. read more

I been getting PT and Nurse and they are great. their Administration or the case manager handling my case is worst . My doctor prescribed the OT and my insurance approved It No one called me so I called and ask for the status. She responded that the PT specialist do not recommend the 0T. I suffered stroke last year and it affected my left side so I needed the PT and OT . I don't know why the specialist is saying I don't need it. I' m not walking nor I can lift my left hand so I have care giver to assist me in my daily activities like changing clothes, brushing my teeth etc. I will check with Medicare if they are billing me for the OT that I am not getting. Next time I will request my doctor to send me in another company that provides PT, OTand nurse. My nurse Jocelyn and PT Kelsey are great . read more

If you get this company assigned through your insurance after leaving the hospital or rehab facility make sure you request a different company. They are the worst!!! Of course not all their employees are useless but Abigail/case manager sure was. They expect the patient to schedule around the nurses schedule....instead of the nurses working around the patient schedule. Abigail also lied said we were refusing nurse services - which they NEVER provided so they discharged my mother which in turn stopped her from getting the little PT she had been already approved for. My mother's primary doctor also mentioned other patients having had similar experiences and based on the reviews and from not getting any help when I called Unison to complain there are no consequences for their bad behavior. read more

If I could give this service a zero I would. RUN and do not expect any health support from this company. They bill you up front for multiple visits, do not show up, do not order supplies. On occasion when they did show up, there were not supplies for wound care. This was the most awful home health agency that I have dealt with to date. Shame on you for taking on patients that you do not care for. read more

Would give this double minus stars if it were possible. Can't get a hold of them. Found out whoever is doing their scheduling of nurses does not know the geography of CA and sends them from Bakersfield to LA and all over the place. They do not show up when they are supposed to. When the nurse finally came out, she had paperwork that was hand filled out with the incorrect information. She said that is what she was given. I think they just photo copied someone else's paperwork. Do NOT use this company. If you want care you would be better off paying out of pocket if you can b/c they are bad. Also if you have this experience, file a complaint with your insurance carrier which is what I am doing. read more

Horrible experience. My doctor recommended unison for home Care. They would call me last minute to come and see me when I wasn't home I always ask them to call in the morning to schedule for that day and they never did but they didn't hesitate to call me last minute that they were in the neighborhood when I wasn't home they wanted to come over. I'm handicapped it's hard for me to get to the phone when they would call I didn't have time to reach the phone and they would never answer their return call. They finally refused to do any care for me never even have the chance. Although they did a evaluation but they never came to my home for service very disappointed for their lack of service and concern over my well-being. Who does that obviously they do read more

Super disappointed in this company. I concur with the other reviews. It's hard to schedule appointments, they expect you to work around their schedule, they don't show up when they say they do, and they don't send out people that they're supposed to send out. No OT, no PT, etc. read more

worst absolute worst home health company we ever dealt with. the home nurse they set out was excellent. no complaints about her. my dad was approved for physical and occupational therapy. he was approved for several visits 10 sessions one time but unison took it upon themselves to cut it in half. another time he was approved for 5 visits again unison took it upon themselves to only give him one therapy. he is 83 and bed ridden when your insurance approves and guarantees they will pay for it they should send someone out. this to me is shear elder abuse. please do not even consider unison they are the worst. im going to file a grievance with our insurance company and call the elder abuse hotline. i didnt even mention that a few of these sessions they would come one time and then wait a month and come out and when they come back it was cut in half every single time afmgain consumers beware do not use unison worst company ever read more

If I could put zero stars I would! IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR LOVED ONES GO ELSEWHERE!! This company is a disgrace. My mother comes home from 6 days laying in a hospital bed needing immediate physical therapy, occupational therapy and daily nurse monitoring. UCI has this company call me to set it up. Nurse evaluator comes out next day and determines she needs the above listed services asap as my mother is now unsteady walking and needs to build her strength back up to at least where she was before the hospital stay. Instead, they blow off scheduling the therapy and make excuses about pt evaluating her needs before starting conveniently after Jan 1st so they can re-evaluate what the coverages will be on her new insurance despite currently having insurance which fully covers their services. They left my 83y/o mother untreated and abandoned for 8 days with empty promises they'll expedite someone coming because they didn't want to be bothered with paperwork twice. Funny how on the 30th they're magically willing to send someone to "evaluate" what pt they should do. I've reported this company to UCI as well as Medicare. This is shameful to treat a kind 83 year old woman so disrespectfully. She just wants to be able to take short walks with her little dogs again without needing a walker as she was doing daily before the hospital stay. It isn't too much to ask! read more

zero stars... fuckn shitty customer service.. got a phone call about my insurance unavailable... a woman called me about my insurance, and i gave her my insurance information and then she just said hold and then transferred me to billing and the guy from billing was an asshole, and didn't even listen to my insurance account, number. he just said back to me that i didn't have any, and canceled my home therapy. without even trying to trying fix it himself.. i had to call my health insurance company to resolve my issue with this stupid company.. read more
