I purchased a 2018 Audi Q5 Stock number U6126) 0n 9/20/23, I made a down payment and took out a loan for the rest with Uriel. I live out of state so when I initially inquired about the title processing they said they will take care of it. My fiancee made contact with business at 30,45,60 days to check on the status of the paperwork, spoke to multiple people (Uriel, Omar and Perry). All at different times to which they assured her that it had been taken care of they stated that since it is an out of state they contract out to a different company, when pressed for the name of this company they refused to give this information. On 12/07/23 my fiancee contacted them again at this point Omar told her that there had been issues with the paperwork and that he would be sending dealer plates in the meantime. We felt unease by this conversation and decided to contact the DMV from the state we reside in, after the state ran a check on both the VIN for the car and my Drivers License they informed us that no attempts have been made from anyone to tittle this car in our State. We also contacted the State of Illinois DMV and same answer. We then contacted the business again only to have Uriel hang up the phone when pressed for concrete answers. It took 5 and a half months to get the paperwork completed and a month of us not being able to drive our car because we had expired plates in the end we has to call the Illinois state police and provided a formal complaint along with our paperwork and they opened an investigation on this issue. read more

BUYER BEWARE I bought a 26k dollar car and had issues from day 1. Uri was helpful with scheduling the repairs (which were a condition of the sale) After having to make multiple trips at 2 hours a trip, for the repairs,(since they weren't done correctly and some not addressed at all) Uri stopped taking my calls. When calling the dealership, I would get put on hold and eventually told that I would receive a call back and of course never did. Kevin gave me his number and he was very helpful in finally getting the repairs done after them having it for about 3 months. At this point I bought the car 6 months ago but due to them having it for repairs so long, I've only put about 1k miles on it and the reason I'm writing a review now is because eventhough it was a nightmare getting the repairs done, the engine just blew and I'm looking at a 17k repair bill for a new engine. After about 1k miles on a 26k car! I bought a truck from this dealership about 4 years ago which was also nothing but problems and I sold it within a year of having it. I didn't blame the dealer at that time but now I know better. BEWARE read more

BUYERS BE AWARE! READ AND BE VERY CAREFUL WHERE YOU MAKE YOUR PURCHASE! I purchased a 2013 Mercedes Benz Sprinter 2500 from UAX on March 19th. Just a couple days after the check engine light came on for the DEF system. DEF is part of emissions system on a diesel engine. Not only did I have codes for DEF but also for SCR system (selective catalytic reduction). A repair that can be very pricey. I contacted the dealer right away and was told to bring in the vehicle. I came by the dealer Monday and of course the check engine light turned off, was told there is not much they can do other than refer me to a place that can take a look at it and that they'll try to work with me on the costs of this repair. After losing a day of work already, I decided I would go home and replace the plywood flooring in the rear cargo (the plywood was scratched up and had some rough edges, nothing serious just wanted it to look better). After removing the old plywood my jaw dropped. More than ¾ of the floor structure was rotted to the point where you can see right through it.. anywhere you took a step the floor structure started breaking more and more.. I put everything aside and drove right back to the dealer. At this point I told them I do not want this vehicle, I do not feel safe with this vehicle. I was told they can not take it back. After sharing how I felt about the vehicle and concerned about my safety we started discussing options where the only option I was left with was getting $1,200 towards the cost of the repairs. I said no, that will not cover a fraction of it. They ended up taking the sprinter to a body shop they work with when they found out exactly how much a repair like this costs.. anywhere from $5,000-$10,000. I was told they would find out pricing from one of their body specialists and they would contact me the next morning. The next day I didn't get a call or any contact from the dealer so I decided to drive back out to the dealer (losing a 2nd day of work). I politely was having another conversation about my concern with this vehicle and how I do not feel safe and I do not want it. Nothing changed, was told they won't do anything about it so I left. About 5-10 minutes go by and I get a phone call to come back to the dealer that there was a resolution to this problem. The first offer I got was that they would give me $2,500 towards the cost of the repairs, I said no, I explained I'm not here to waste anyone's time other than wanting to return this vehicle. I DO NOT WANT IT OR FEEL SAFE WITH IT. Then another resolution was brought up if they take the car back will I pay the taxes and dealer fees.. So lets get this straight, I buy a vehicle from UAX, there are problems with it mechanically just a couple days after on top of the whole rear cargo floor structure that is rotted out and not safe, now you'll take it back but I have to cover taxes and fees on my end.. so I don't have a car and I'm about negative -$2,000 roughly on a car I won't have. I said no I will not pay the (roughly) $2,000 and left. The best part about it that the actual owner himself wouldn't appear through out any of these conversations. To top it all off this morning I told myself I will just drive it to work and park it there for now and not drive it and on my way to work the car stalled as I was making a turn on a intersection.. I'm not happy at all with this situation. I've already contacted the bank with where they financed me about the conditions of this vehicle and how the dealer is being about it. Now everyone can see my story about the situation on top of going to start a claim with the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. This business is a TOTAL SCAM! I traded in my Audi on January 5 that needed an engine replacement per Firestone (which I told them and they were fully aware of). I got a Lincoln from their lot. I put 12k down with my trade in and they claimed they were a platinum dealer with Capital One and had a great relationship which is who my Audi's car loan was with and is who the Lincoln loan is with. Here it is almost 2 MONTHS LATER, I've called and emailed at least 15 times between the two because my Audi is STILL NOT PAID OFF and is in their posession. I've had to pay TWO car notes on it in addition to the car note on my Lincoln. I told them if they did not pay my car off and get back to me by Thursday Feb 22 that I was going to file a complaint on every site possible, take my story to the press (stay tuned for that) and pursue legal action which I will be doing now. I visited the dealership in person and drove 30 miles just to see the sign has been removed, a realtor pad lock was on the door and most of their cars were gone (but I could still see my Audi through the glass and took picture). This is HORRIBLE that they scammed me out of 12k that I BARELY had and now I'm still on the hook with Capital One for a car loan on a vehicle that isn't even in my position anymore! Buying a car isn't an everyday thing. You always want to be happy with your purchase and also not pressured to buy. My father in law purchased a new car through an auto broker and he sent info about this specific location since we just moved from California and not familiar with the area. We had just came back from a Dealership where I felt absolute pressure to buy a car that I wasn't even interested in. After arriving to United Auto Exchange we were greeted by two men who kindly helped us out. We also got there 5 minutes prior to closing time and they didn't hesitate to help us out. We went to check out some cars and after making a decision we headed back to the office to fill out paperwork. The next day we were going to take the car home and I realized that the car didn't have Bluetooth which was something I really wanted to have since I wanted a newer car. The owner approached me and asked me what was wrong and I told him that buying a car is not an everyday thing and after spending a lot of money I wanted to be happy with my purchase. He kindly suggested me to see other cars and newer models so I can make sure that's what I want. He suggested a beautiful car! At the end of the day I walked out with an 2011 Audi. It is by far more than I expected my car to be. I didn't get the owners name but he was very helpful. Not to mention George & Homero(the two men who greeted us) were very kind. I have a 5 year old boy with tons of energy and they were patient and my son Andrew had a blast there. I am very happy I chose United Auto exchange after the headache with the dealers. This place is full of scammers and do nothing to make their vehicles ready for resale. I went there to take a look at a 2008 Mitsubishi Endeavor. Upon inspecting the vehicle for less than 10 minutes without even taking it for a test drive I noticed: - Someone had cut away plastic panels on the under carriage - All the buttons on the key had been broken off, causing the vehicles alarm to go off when you get in it because it can't be disarmed - The rear windshield washer would spray fluid in to the cargo area rather than on the rear windshield - It was missing the jack - The radio would intermittently play static at maximum volume - Both heated front seats were broken - Multiple buttons were broken off of the drivers side power seat - The brake rotors surfaces were corroded and pitted - When I hooked up my scan tool, the check engine light had been reset 5.9 miles ago I asked the salesman what they had done to the car to refurbish it, and he pulled the paperwork and said new brake pads/rotors/calipers. None of which would have caused the check engine light to come on, on this car. He spoke with the manager, who called someone on the phone, and then they claimed they replaced the battery as well. If they had replaced the battery it would have been on their paperwork. I get the impression that this place is selling cars with serious powertrain issues and resetting the check engine lights hoping they wont come back on when people take them on test drives. In addition they are not making their cars road worthy. I would suggest anyone avoid this place and go to a more reputable dealer who can actually bother to refurbish their cars. read more

My experience with buying a car with United Auto Exchange was horrible. I showed interest in a car and set up an appointment to test drive it. The car wasn't ready when I got there, it was filthy on the inside and the car had no gas. So a random employee went with me to get gas and then on the test drive even though he knew nothing about the car. After purchasing the vehicle, I noticed it had a bad oil leak and the heat didn't work in the car. This is after I was promised that the vehicle had gone through a 120 point inspection. And to their knowledge, nothing was wrong with the vehicle. They told me to bring it back in and that they would fix the problems. So I brought it in and they kept it for 4 days. After I picked it up, I noticed the next day that the oil leak had not been fixed nor did they fix the climate control. Omar lied to me multiple times about them fixing the car. I wouldn't trust these guys as far as you can throw them. They don't give an F about customer service. Do not buy a car from Omar and United Auto Exchange unless you want to buy a headache. And they charged me for the car like it was in mint condition.... because that's what I was told I was buying. read more

Coming up on 6 months owning my car (no issues yet!) purchased through these guys. Mike and George are a little gruff, but very nice honest people who give you no bs. Car was well priced and well maintained, they showed me the Carfax and offered to look up financing for me. This was a first time car purchase, but I had researched a lot and already had a car loan through my bank at a very low rate. Upon informing them, they told me "yes, go through your bank that rate is great were not gonna beat it", which I appreciated as they weren't trying to sell me more than I needed nor wasting my time. They explained everything I needed, and made the process very smooth. Per their own conversation to us: they buy used cars from dealers that they deem high quality and resell within a certain time period. If car doesn't sell in 6 weeks they take it to auction, usually at a loss, but they make more money moving cars than keeping ones they don't sell. HIGHLY RECCOMEND read more

DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM THIS DEALERSHIP! We bought and pd cash for a 2006 Jeep Wrangler X. We even wired the $15000 from our bank in california to them in Illinois after we fell in love with the jeep on Ebay Motors. Uriel told us the jeep had been garaged and there was nothing wrong with it. All the paperwork stated no problems and even provided a car fax report. We finally got the jeep delivered 3 weeks later and as soon as i started it, i knew there was something wrong with it. On top of that the AC didnt work, the stereo had wires everywhere making a crackling sound, there was either a muffler or catalytic converter in a box In the back seat and we still havent received the original paperwork or a title. We drove the vehicle home and it started overheating. It went into the shop 4 days after it was dropped off to us. Then was out for 2 days and still had issues. We moved to redding and found a mechanic here and its been in the shop now since the end of july. The mechanic says is a rust bucket under the vehicle, it Has emission problems, the check engine light is on and we had to pay illinois sales tax plus ca sales tax just to go to dmv.to get a moving permit so our mechanic could drive it to fix all of the problems it has and file for a lost title because we have never recieved it. WE PAID CASH UP FRONT. These people disgust me. This was supposed to be my husbands dream jeep but its a nightmare. When i finally get the final bill frkm our mechanic along with all of their documentation about the vehicle these people are going to hear from lawyers because if i try to call them again i will blow up on them and that probably isnt the best idea if we are going to successfully win a lawsuit against them. My used car, bought for 15k, had issues from day 1. Put 2k into fixing problems. Within a year, it broke down in the dark in a bad part of the highway. Had to pay for a tow. Repair shop/other dealership discovered it had been involved in a previous accident. This was not disclosed to us, and didn't show up on any reports. We sold the car for 5k, and paid 15k for a new one. Not happy. Maybe United Auto will reach out to me to make this right? read more

Very bad experience buying here. I noticed an issue with the brake pedal and the salesman tried to convince me that was how Audi's feel. The manager said they noticed something was wrong and offered to have it looked at, fixed, and shipped to me. I get the car almost two weeks later with the same issue only to take it to Audi and find out that it's dangerous, not drivable, and going to take another $1080 to fix and a contamination that will possibly cause more problems down the line. They are terrible with communication; I finally had a manger call me, only after a bad review, offering to send me a check for not even half of what the repair would cost. They don't care if they sell you a bad car. Go somewhere else where they will make things right and care about what they're selling. read more

Never ACTUALLY walked in here, thank god, but I DID see a car on eBay recently that I really wanted to buy. I got an email message from one of their "sales reps," Uriel Gonzalez, and I KNEW from the get go, that there was gonna be a problem. My initial question was asking the agency if they shipped to my location and if they could go any lower price-wise. He replied with the shadiest and briefest, "Yes, we ship. No, price is firm." I then asked him what exactly the total would be with shipping and any of their other "surprise" charges. He asked me if I'd be financing or "writing them a check." I replied that I'd be paying the full amount, and if there was any other (and safer) way for me to pay them. He then decided to go BEYOND shady and told me that my OTHER option would be to WIRE them the money. Honestly, I know this is a used car dealer and all, and this is EXPECTED of these people, but this guy could've at least made an effort to sound halfway PROFESSIONAL while "attempting" to sell a car to me! At least while he sealed the deal! At this point, I took all the hints, saw every red flag, and decided to request a car fax for this vehicle. He was quick to send it to me, and informed me that he would have, what he called, my "out the door numbers" SOON. Its been two days, and I've heard nothing back from these guys. I got an automatic message this morning from a "front desk manager" named Mike Stevens, in which he SEEMED concerned about the service I had received. I decided to send him an email in regards to Uriel's random disappearance, and it turned out that Mike Stevens email was either fake or nonexistent, because I received a "message failure" email instantly. Worst car buying experience I have ever had. After purchasing the vehicle there, I was told it needed detailed and a tune-up, and they would be happy to deliver it. I spoke with three different people about getting the windows tinted before delivery, and all said they would make sure it was arranged to be done. The vehicle was delivered 10 days after I was originally told it would be, with no tinted windows. On delivery day the drivers were three hours late, and managed to take two hours to get the car off the trailer, as there was another car behind it, which they thought had a dead battery, but really the key fob for it was just in their truck... When I finally got to drive my car, within the first mile the check engine light came on and it started misfiring. At this point I called the dealership, asking for them to just take the car back, as I was still in the 15 day window. I spoke directly with Jeff Chianakas over the phone, who assured me they would cover the repairs, and he personally would write me a check to have it tinted locally. After that trip to the mechanic, I had to pay over $900 out of pocket, and sent exact invoices to my contact, Jeff. In response to this I was sent a check for less than half of the total repair cost. When I got back in touch with Jeff to ask why I did not get the accommodation I was promised, he then informs me that their policy is to split repair cost 50/50. I was convinced to keep a car I wished to return within the appropriate window, by the promise that I would be taken care of with all of the repair, plus the cost of tinting the windows. What they actually accommodated me with covered only a portion of the necessary repairs. This left me personally responsible for rest of the repair, and stuck with a car that I wanted to return to them. This vehicle was purchased with only 80k miles on it, and in the only 6 months since has accumulated repairs totaling over 60% of the initial value, and is currently immobilized with a broken ignition tumbler... If you're looking for a reliable used vehicle, and a satisfying purchase experience, stay far away from this dealership. read more

Came to look at a car here with my boyfriend, and we liked the car. But they wouldn't let us test drive the car, unless we promised to be serious about buying it today? What? Than, we said. Fine. We're seriously considering this car yes that's why we came all this way to the middle of nowhere. Than, we wait 20 minutes for the guy to move the 2 cars in front of it. During this time, were sitting and on their table designated for customers is their hookah. Lol. Super unprofessional. Than he had to inflate the flat tires it had to drive it. Than he had to give the car a jump start because it didn't start. Than he tells us we can't test drive it because the car is out of gas.... Mind you that this wasn't a crappy car this was a 2010 cc and they were just extremely unprepared and unprofessional. We dodged a bullet with this one. But I saw the Acura they had online and on a whim I decided to stop in. From the moment I walked in I felt like their number one customer. There were no games, the transaction felt very honest and made me extremely comfortable as opposed to the multiple dealers I had just been to. I got a great deal and had a great experience. Purchased a car back in July of 2016 and have had nothing but problems ever since. The check engine light was on on the day of purchase, but the salesman assured me that it was just a sensor that needed to be turned off. Believing him, I purchased the car. Check engine light has not turned off ever since. I called the dealership in August and explained to them that I was having a ton of problems with the vehicle and that it was continuously breaking down. I called the finance company and the insurance as well and they both advised that I talk to the dealership. RJ basically said there was nothing he could do and that I purchased the car "as is." I then asked him why I paid almost 20,000 dollars for a car that he knew needed serious work that he did not disclose to me and he had no answer for that. Since July I have not even put 10,000 miles on my car because I have only had it out of the shop for about 60 days before it breaks down again or needs some other serious maintenance. The trade in value of this car is about 7500 and I owe almost 10,000 more than that. Still, RJ says there is nothing they can do. I have already put in about 2000-2500 dollars into the car and there is thousands more dollars worth of maintenance that it needs. Beware! I went in to look at a 2000 Volkswagen Jetta priced at $1,800. The car had 119,075 miles on it, 4cyl., automatic. One of the guys who works there told us the issues with the car before they pulled it up. He said the tires were in great condition-they were actually not! Aesthetically, the car needed two new side rear mirrors(one was missing & the other was broken), it looked like someone took white-out to cover up the paint flaws, and the trunk didn't even open! It had the check-engine light on so we took it to Autozone to have the computer read. Found out the repairs totaled up to $500(not including labor), and added on the $500 for all four tires. I returned to the dealership and told the guy I'd give him $1,800 total (including taxes and fees) and he told me the car was already heavily discounted. Ha, the car is worth $1,325! The trade in value of the car is $500. I understand that a business needs to bring in profits, but why would you insult your customers by expecting them to pay more for something that isn't worth what you're asking for!?! Not only that, but I witnessed another customer who had to raise his voice at them when he saw the overall bill for his purchase! They basically charged him what a new car dealership would've! Definitely do your homework if you're thinking of going here, otherwise you'll get taken advantage of. read more
