I had a an Audi 2009 with low mileage so I knew these low ball offers were BS. These guys at SwapMotors have great customer service skills and a nice platform. They make everything super easy and obviously get you the best value for your car. I recommend the auction for fast results. You get to approve the minimum price it sells at. Process: 1) You choose to sell on an auction or the marketplace. I chose Auction 2) They come to your house and inspect your car. They take photos and do a quick test drive. 3) They post the ad online for dealers to view. 4) Your car goes to Auction on a Wednesday which is open from morning until 5 pm. 5) They come to your house with a check and you sign over the title. Note*: Ensure that your inspection appointment is confirmed. I ran into an issue where I scheduled too late (before 24 hrs) and assumed the appointment was confirmed. read more

Shane came and checked my car out a day after I had posted it on Facebook. Told me first hand it was a quick notice so he wouldn't have Cash ready. I didn't mind as I was going on vacation and told him we could carry on with the deal when I come back. After agreeing on a price he said he'd come a specific day ; came up with an excuse that it was a busy week . I understood and said ok. As the days went by I told him I'd like communication and updates . He agreed but continued to go ghost. Long story short after 3-4 weeks of excuses . So decided that I was going to sell my 2014 Charger RT, with 45k miles. Obviously this car is nice with low miles and in near perfect condition. I tried to go through the first step (evaluation + photoshoot) but I couldn't even get through that. Over the course of 2 weeks I think I scheduled 5 appointment times, and every time I would get a call with a guy saying, "oh he's not available then, when else are you available?". The first time I gave the guy my week schedule stating that I have a flexible schedule as I work from home. He said he'll call back or schedule a meeting for this. Didn't hear anything for a few days, so I decided to just schedule again myself. Then again another call from a guy, and I literally went through the same process, and never heard anything back. Lastly, I started to express my frustration through the chat, and the guys said the best they can do is 15k reserve without even having a proper evaluation. So I declined, we were going to try to set up another appointment, but I didn't hold my breath for this one, so I started reaching out to other buyers and dealers myself, and I was able to get my car sold at a reasonable price in a matter of 3 days. If I were the supervisor of these employees, I would be pretty disappointed in missing this sale opportunity. read more

And their customer service was the best I've ever experienced, not just in the auto arena (low bar) but anywhere. They are truly amazing. Very very lucky to have found them. Just got rid of my car through Swap Motors and it was such a great experience that I wanted to write immediately. As a first time car seller, I was really worried about getting screwed by dealers. But these people aren't dealers. You pay a flat fee for them to auction your car. They truly wanted me to get the best price and indeed got me $100 over what they suggested we start the auction at. They offered me more than a second offer from Carmax, and the final dealings were straightforward, and without any shenanigans. Stumbled upon Swap Motors while doing a search online, and decided to give them a try. Definitely an awesome concept they have going on here. I requested to sell my car through them, and within 2-3 days it was up on their website. You get the option of either selling yourself, or going through an auction. I initially decided to sell myself, but after getting no hits, and just wanting to get rid of the car, I opted for the auction. Car sold that day for a decent price, and Swap was here the following day to pick up the vehicle and hand me my check. One suggestion I would make to Swap Motors is to pay their customers via cashier's checks. While I received a personal check and it did clear my bank, I can tell you I was a little worried about it. Overall, great concept, and I'd definitely work with them in the future should I find myself in that situation. read more

It would have been such a mistake to trade in my car instead of selling through SwapMotors. Dealers (esp CarMax) lowball your offer and the only plus is that it's easy to trade in a car. But SwapMotors is brilliant in that it's still a hassle-free method but gets you a better price. They have excellent customer service and take care of literally everything; we never had to leave our house. Because they sell your car for you at a dealer auction, you agree on the starting price with the SwapMotors team but have no more control after that. Our car was sold just a tad above the highest trade-in offer we had gotten. Definitely recommend to anyone trying to sell or a car. read more
