They truly wanted me to get the best price and indeed got me $100 over what they suggested we start the auction at.

This shop offers good oil change promotions, but I strongly advise never using them for diagnostics…read moreor repairs. They frequently misdiagnose problems and recommend expensive, unnecessary repairs priced far above market rate. As an example of their above-market pricing, they charged me $729 to replace my oil pressure sensor, while two other local Car-X shops quoted $389 and $417 for the same repair. Michelle made an agreement over the phone to remedy a problem but refused to honor it when I arrived at the shop. She also refused to provide contact information for the District Manager. She said he would call me, but it has been more than two months and I have never received a call. I have had three separate experiences with this shop recommending costly, unnecessary repairs. On 6/7/25, during an oil change inspection, they told me my shocks and struts needed immediate replacement for $2,000, implying it was an urgent safety issue. A second opinion confirmed my shocks and struts were fine. When I returned on 8/2/25 and told them this, they agreed and said it was actually my lower control arms that needed replacing for $2,274. On 1/3/26, they recommended a $200 power steering fluid flush even though they had already performed that service on 6/7/25. The typical service interval is about 50,000 miles, and it had been less than 7,500 miles. On 12/20/25 and 1/3/26, I paid a total of $929 to diagnose and repair an oil leak, but the oil leak remained unchanged after their repair. Michelle told me the primary issue was the oil pressure switch, with minimal oil coming from the valve cover. This contradicted with their own inspection photos, which showed minimal oil near the oil pressure switch and significant oil around the oil dipstick. This was a clear indication that the VVT solenoid gasket was leaking, not the valve cover. The VVT solenoid leak is a common issue on Honda Odysseys and is documented in Honda Technical Service Bulletin 20-019. I called Michelle on 1/6/26, three days after the repair, and explained that the leak was unchanged and clearly coming from the VVT solenoid. She agreed to remove the new oil pressure switch, reinstall the old one, and issue a $644.95 refund. However, when I returned to the shop on 1/10/26, she refused to honor the agreement and gave several conflicting explanations. Despite clear evidence that the leak was coming from the VVT solenoid, the shop continued to insist the problem was the oil pressure switch and valve cover (it was completely dry around the valve cover, which had already been replaced in 2025). They refused to acknowledge the evidence that they were wrong. For the record, the oil leak has completely resolved after replacing the VVT solenoid gasket. I would have been satisfied if they had honored their agreement. Instead, they refused and would not allow me to speak with the District Manager. I never received a call from the District Manager, as they promised I would. I am posting this publicly to encourage the company to honor its agreements and improve customer service, especially when there is a clear and costly case of misdiagnosis. I would still welcome contact from the District Manager to resolve this matter.

From my past experience, most shops would have to order the tire and make me wait until the next day--but not this Car-X. The team went above and beyond. They were incredibly kind and managed to get a special tire for me the same day despite heavy traffic and a long delivery delay. Sam was especially helpful and made the whole experience much less stressful. On top of that, the price was very reasonable compared to other shops I've been to. Thanks to their effort, I was able to get back on the road the same day. They truly saved my day--highly recommend!

I was stopped for less than seven minutes and was completely clear of the garage entrance. An older gentleman with glasses, who I understand to be a staff member or manager at this location, approached my car claiming I was "blocking" his parking space. There were vehicles packed closely in front of me, meaning I physically had nowhere to move. When I respectfully explained that I only needed two minutes to finish with the children, the man escalated the situation. He marched up to my driver-side door and aggressively attempted to swing my door open. This behavior is not only wildly unprofessional, but it is also a hostile physical violation of my safety. As a young 22 year-old woman alone, I felt incredibly threatened by a middle-aged man attempting to breach my vehicle. Do Better.

1 star. Repeated failed repairs, wasted time, little to no accountability…read more I've been a CarX customer since April 25, and what should have been a straightforward suspension repair has turned into months of wasted time and a car that still isn't fixed. April 25: Brought my car in for a clunking sound (diagnosed by a tire shop as a broken sway bar). CarX found additional issues such control arm, control arm bushings, sway bar and I approved the work. Mike promised it done by noon, and it was. No complaints here. May 12: Came back for recommended front struts/shocks, with an 8:15 appointment. Car wasn't even looked at for over 2 hours. After a 3-hour "diagnostic" delay, I approved the replacement. Total time: 6 hours for an appointment that was supposed to start on time. Picked up the car and was told it was running great. The very next day, the clunking sound was back again especially over uneven roads. Early June: Brought it in again for a suspension check. Told everything was tightened and the part might be defective. Good news that it would be free of charge. I mean i would highly think so. They ordered a new part, said it would take a week, and that the car was safe to drive. Over a week later, no call. I had to call myself on June 17 to check status, and the part had supposedly "just" arrived. I asked when I could bring the car in, and was told Friday, June 19, would work, I'd just need to give them a few hours. When I dropped it off, Mike told me I'd have to "catch him on a good day" and that they were too busy to finish it that day. Rescheduled to Saturday, despite having called ahead to set this up in the first place. Job finally done Saturday, told no more sounds. Clunking sound was still there. Took it to a different, independent mechanic, who diagnosed a loose control arm (especially driver side) within the hour. Since it looked like they've just been replaced. They recommended I take it back to CarX since it was their work and under warranty. July 7: Brought it back, multiple parts replaced again, told it was working great. A few hours later, grinding sound when braking. And still with clunking sounds. Next day: drop-off my car to CarX before work. By 9:30 told I needed $680 in brake work which was absurd given they still hadn't successfully repaired the ongoing clunking sound my car makes. Really they owe me a partial refund given the ongoing issue. I was met with "lifetime guarantee" reassurances, but they wouldn't even take payment over the phone despite everything I'd already been through with scheduling. I ended up taking my car elsewhere instead for a brake replacement. My car is still making the clunking sound to this day. Multiple visits, repeated "it's fixed, no more noise" assurances, and the original issue remains unresolved. Appointments don't seem to mean anything here, you'll wait hours regardless. They have no efficient process to get customers in and out efficiently. If you value your time or want a repair that actually holds, I'd look elsewhere. We honor our warranty? How so? I've returned every days off that I can. It's still not fixed. Like how many opportunities does this shop want? Because I don't have all the time in the world. Do I get a loaner car? Nope. Very loose control arm is a diagnostic I've gotten from a different mechanic.
