I went to Care Well with a terrible and persistent cough that I had for a week. The cough was so…read morebad that I would throw up while coughing. I had a sore throat that had gotten better. I was short of breath from the coughing and had constant nasal drip. The PA said it was an acute upper respiratory infection. I asked for something stronger than over the counter cough medication and she prescribed the pearl drops which I told her do not seem to work for me. She said then I could just continue with the over the counter cough medications that I am taking. I did go ahead and take the prescription for the pearl drops. i asked if there was something else that she could give me and she said it would have to run its course. My husband was there with me because he has been sick with the same symptom. When she saw him she gave him an antibiotic and the pearl drops for his cough. I am not at all happy that I was not given an antibiotic as well. Hopefully he will be well soon but I am afraid I will be fighting g this for a while longer! I will not go back to this place! I wasted two hours of my time and the money for my office visit!

During the screening, a nurse calls to ask some basic questions. Then, another nurse calls and asks you to schedule a drive-by test. She tells you how it will work and what time to arrive. 2) The toughest part about the test was finding the place! To find this on the GPS, type in 3620 Pawtucket Ave, East Providence, RI. Otherwise, you will be zooming past it and not know where to park. 3) I spent maybe seven minutes waiting behind two other cars. A woman greeted me and had me show her my driver's license. I then drove up to the tent. There were two people in gloves and N95's. They gave me a pamphlet and made a few jokes. They seemed pretty perky for people administering tests. She told me that they would be "tickling my brain for a couple seconds." I appreciated the humor. 4) The swab was tiny. Probably the width of two hairs. It was in and out of my nose in two seconds. Not very painful, but slightly uncomfortable. They put the swab in a plastic bag and told me that they would call me in 3-5 days. Overall, a good experience. I was nervous going in, but the staff made me feel comfortable and didn't treat me like I was some kind of infectious monster. My insurance covered it, so it was free for me with no copays! I'll definitely go back if I feel like I need a test again.

He finally gave up and went to the emergi center who, after giving him a check up, etc., put him in an ambulance and sent him to RIH with pneumonia!!!! I was due for a checkup Jan 2015, and I found this group, 12 minutes from my home in Cranston. I called on Monday morning at 8:00 and I had an appointment scheduled for that afternoon. Twice since then I have had an "emergency" --horrific cough, and sciatica. Both times I have been seen that day with 1/2 hour the most I had to wait. I have seen my PCP 4 times and the two occasions where I needed to see someone that day, I saw two different Docs and they have ALL been wonderful. They are all women and they all do family practice. OBGYN, Pediatrics, and adults. Try them----you'll LOVE them!!!!!

My wife was recently hospitalized for symptoms of a stroke and seizure at RIH, although the stroke…read morepart was ruled out. We were surprised to receive a notice from the stroke center asking us to make an appointment with Dr. Cutting, who is a vascular neurologist. Surprisingly, we were able to get a fairy quick appointment, which is remarkable considering some specialists have long wait times. The night before the appointment we were both nervous as to what we might find, but as it turned out, the trip was a big waste of time. While Dr. Cutting seemed like a nice enough lady, she didn't tell us anything more than what my wife's regular neurologist or primary care doctor could have. To me it seemed like a money grab from Lifespan,the parent company of the hospital. I'm willing to bet if we had Medicaid or no insurance, that letter would never have gone out. That's an hour and 25 dollars that we will never get back. To top it off, the RIH campus is tough to navigate due to lack of parking and lengthy walks for someone who is disabled. I would only recommend this practice if you had no other options.

Poor service all around! My initial appointment I waited in the waiting room an hour and a half…read morebeyond my scheduled time, watching people come in well after me and they were seen right away. I was told "Oh you're next" several times. I honestly felt like I was on a hidden camera show. Once in the office I waited another hour... for no physical. Only a "Hey how are you, nice to meet you. We are so busy, see the front desk to schedule your physical. I can refill your rx medication so have them fax me your old doctor's prescription!". This cost me $90. Beyond unacceptable. I then scheduled my physical... which was around 6 months. My refill did come up, and it was denied. Apparently I was supposed to go a Dermatologist? Never was told that, never given any information on that. Was told I was called (I would remember, and I see no emails or voicemails as of right now). The receptionist also said "oh we told the pharmacy", which wasn't true. The Pharmacy said it was denied with no reason given. I ended my term as patient (I genuinely feel like I wasn't one so no big loss) and honestly don't know if they cared. The medical assistant gleefully said "We can deactivate you as a patient!" Business must be good so they can treat new patients this way.

The express is really handy if you need a quick examination or x-ray after an injury and is so much better than going to an emergency room or even a walk-in with sick people coughing all over you.
