these people are borderline criminal. first, i paid for overnight delivery for a friday and it didn't happen. then it was out for delivery sat, but 'was unable to deliver' even though my wife and i were home, no one rang the bell, no package was left, and my neighbors who were outside at the time of the posted delivery said there was no truck. then i get a call mon morning saying, (a) they have video that the driver was at the wrong address, and then (b) he couldn't find the house numbers. my large house numbers are posted on the transom over my front door. as of this writing, it's getting late on mon afternoon, and i still haven't had a delivery that initially was supposed to arrive fri., and has been IN new orleans for at least 3 days. read more

UPS in New Orleans is completely unreliable. If I order something and see it's being shipped by UPS, I already know it's most likely not going to arrive. Even if you require a signature on a package, they'll just leave it at a drop off location, then never contact you, so you don't know what happened to it. read more

OMG!!!! Where shall I begin??? This location is the worst!!!! The lobby hours are something like 8-3:30p, I mean who can even access this facility at those hours; certainly not a working person. To their credit, you ARE able to pick-up packages prior to the lobby hours from 7:30a-8a, but that's the only PLUS side. Whenever I have the unfortunate occasion to visit this Post Office, there is ALWAYS a line. A line that never seems to die. The two ladies that are staples of this facility are hard workers, but seem OVERworked, thereby their progress is reflective. This is the facility that delivers to my home, so ALLLLL of my packages that are too large for the mailbox, are directed here, unfortunately. Dealing with this post office makes me understand the recent closures of some post offices & customers willingness to utilize Fed-ex & UPS. I have personally witnessed the past three UPS drivers completely bypass me on their route and go straight back to the station. They never leave a notification because they never physically come to my door. All I get is a notification of a "delivery attempt". My UPS comes late at night and often instead of actually knocking on the door the driver will just leave a notice or mark my packages as rescheduled. Grr. So often if it's something I have to sign for or they for some reason just won't leave on my porch I have them hold it here. Being in the east it's a bit out of the way (the google directions are slightly off FYI) but I need my packages. The counter personnel aren't super friendly and the inside is kinda dingy. UPS on Morrison Road does not even deserve one star. I have over five times paid for 2-day shipping and the shipments have been two or more days late. This last incident takes the cake. Knowing UPS's reputation, I waited in my foyer yesterday from 3 (when the package was "out for delivery") until 6:02 when the tracking update said "the receiver was not available at the time of the delivery attempt." Funny, because I waited right by my door and have a working doorbell. I called UPS about this and was promised a call "first thing in the morning," because drivers are obligated to deliver all packages on their route for the day even if it is after 6 (and the weather was perfect). And in any event, the package did not require a signature. So after I do not get my "first thing" call, I make another complaint. They say they will ask the driver what my neighborhood looks like to make sure the driver was actually there. Well, even with google maps you can fake this. But he got the description of my house wrong. Further, I double checked with Sierra Trading Post - my address label is clear and correct (as it always is when I order from them). So the driver is either lazy, illiterate, or a thief (in New Orleans, all of these options are not only eminently possible, but probable). Now it is 6:11 and I am still waiting on my two days late package. I have called several other times to complain, and was promised I would be called back within the hour to learn what the story is on this box (which contains items that were frankly not cheap, and immediately needed for a trip). Both times I was not called back. I am beginning to suspect theft. New Orleans unfortunately has a culture of "I don't feel like working." But I hear the dispatch services in nearby Jefferson Parish are good. Unfortunately customers do not get a choice of which dispatch service to use. I am sad that I can't trust online shopping due to the incompetence of this pathetic branch. I have complained to the online vendors about this. I have had drivers LIE and say that nobody was home, when my boyfriend was here the whole time, I have had packages dropped off at the UPS pick up points without authorization...and currently, was on hold for 30 minutes, only to have to call back five times for someone to answer, to be put BACK ON HOLD. Both women I have spoken with just mumbled into the phone to the point where I could barely understand them. I waited on a package all day only to track it and find out that my address didn't exist..so I have been receiving packages for 6 years at an address that doesn't exist now!???! Outrage!! WTH?? Some bad information on this page from earlier reviewers. The hours are 8am - 6pm Mon-Fri. I took one reviewer's tip about the place being open from 7:30-8am for package pickup, and ended up waiting irritably in the parking lot until 8am. The staffing/management might have changed, because I had a positive experience. The man behind the counter was very professional and helpful and I never had to create an account for anything; just picked up my package, showed ID, and left. Went in at 8:00 and left at 8:05. There was no one else in the parking lot when I left. FYI, there was a sign that said there's a $1 charge if you need to use the tape gun to tape up a package. -1 star because the hours are not great for those on a 9-5 work schedule. Would have been lovely if they had taken pity on me waiting there in the parking lot, but I can't hold it against them. read more

I live in a gated apartment complex and receive a few UPS shipments per week. I see their brown trucks around here on a regular basis. Today, my shipping details reveal my package was undeliverable because they couldn't get to my door. This has happened more than once and I say BS!!! They've successfully delivered several dozen packages already this year. The UPS message was posted at 5:44pm. Hmmm? Perhaps the driver got back to the distribution center at the end of a day's work and discovers an overlooked package? What does he/she do? 1) Deliver the package? 2) Own up to the mistake? 3) Dismissively lie? I will never have anyone deliver me a package via UPS on anything I order and every company that asks why will be given this story. There are too many other companies to use. Here is my horrible story about UPS. My dog, my nephew and I was sitting on our front porch. All of a sudden a UPS truck came speeding down my street and I guess because he was speeding, my dog went after the truck. Needless to say the driver rolled over my dog and killed her. Her name was Zoe and she was my best friend and a beautiful Maltese dog. I've been a single mom all my life and my kids are now gone. I suffer with severe chronic nerve and back pain on a daily basis due to a doctor messing up on a fusion surgery about 7 years ago from someone rear ending me in a car wreck. Well getting Zoe saved my life. I was so depressed with my kids gone, my job getting harder and harder to perform because of the pain all day every day and I got Zoe. I hadn't been happier since my son was home and not in college yet. She was my everything. It's been a month and I cry every single day. I just can't get offer this loss of my dog. My girlfriend said I will never get over Zoe until I get another dog. I started looking into Maltese and other breeds and these dogs are $650 - $1000. Even on petfinder they want $400 for a dog. I don't have this kind of money so I emailed UPS to see if they would at least pay for a dog. They have millions of dollars and I don't see why they don't have the heart to help me. Well I got a call today on my birthday right before I was going to lunch with friends to celebrate. I had already cried this morning as I do every day and I told myself I was not going to ruin my day today as it was my birthday. About 45 minutes before I was to leave for lunch for my birthday a lady called and said she was from UPS. I told her what happened and she was so sweet, sympathetic and said she would see what she could do. All I asked is if UPS could buy me another dog. I told her the price and said I just can't afford it. I mentioned how the dog helped me with my depression because of my back and the lady truly acted as if she cared. All of a sudden some woman gets on the phone, doesn't say her name, who she is, what her position is or anything and started asking, do you have a fenced yard, was the dog on a leash, you know there are leash laws and its not our problem. She was so mean and ugly on the phone. This lady didn't have one kind bone in her body and did not sympathize with my loss at all. I knew I was getting ready to start crying like a baby so I said never mind, hung up and cried and cried and cried. This woman (who is of different color than I) immediately heard that I wasn't the same race, got on the phone and blasted me. She treated me worse than a piece of poop on a stick. I was horrified. Needless to say I am now filing a lawsuit for discrimination. It was very evident by her conversation she wasn't going to be kind to me one bit. Shame on you who ever you are. God does not like people to be mean to others. You are suppose to love one another no matter, their race, religion or gender. This UPS branch employs lazy drivers who often falsely claim they made a delivery attempt without ringing the doorbell or even leaving the standard failed delivery note they are supposed to leave. I had to go here to pick up a package that couldn't be delivered to my house. There was a long line, and the woman behind the counter was nice, but she had to explain to each customer that they needed to leave the line to log into a kiosk to create an account with UPS. There weren't any signs stating this fact, so people in line would wait 20 minutes just to be told to use a computer. I didn't need a computer. I just needed her to go in the back and get me my darn package. I think what made all the customers even angrier was that the clerk stopped what she was doing to talk to another employee about who should go on break next (when the other employee could have helped serve the customers)... They lost my package, and it never even left the facility! Woman at the customer service center became really defensive and started making ridiculous excuses. Instead of maybe considering the possibly that maybe someone on her end misplaced it, she immediately accused me of calling her many times and then coming to pick up my package and that it didn't have sufficient labeling on it, which were complete lies. The package had a sticker prepaid shipping label on it. I had dropped it off on Fri and after realizing that I didn't have a tracking number, I called in ONCE and asked for it. She gave it to me and I didn't check on it until Thursday, the very day I called her to inquire about its whereabouts. I understand that a package can be lost en route, but the fact that my package was scanned and then never left the facility is just strange. The package was filled with 5 glasses frames each worth $95 at retail price, that were suppose to return to the company I borrowed them from. You can see why I was anxious to see that they were returned safely. Luckily, I the company told me I will not be liable for them. They deserve the one star, because I have never have trouble with them delivering to my home. However, this was the first time I sent anything from there and will also be my last. I've never been more outraged by a service before. IMO UPS should reevaluate who they hire as their customer service representatives, because it'll only hurt this branch's reputation in the long run. read more

This facility gets no stars, I was informed via Email that the UPS scheduled delivery date could not be met for some undisclosed reason, and was given another delivery date, or the choice of paying 5 dollars to pick a delivery date; after paying the fee and picking a date I was again informed via Email that the delivery date could not be met; again I paid the fee and chose another date. I have lived at the address since 2006. The management has provided the gate security code for the UPS drivers, so packages would not have to be left on the curb, under our mailboxes. UPS has not lost a package for me in a while. I received an e-mail informing me that UPS dropped off my package Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at 2:34pm. When I got home at 4:10pm there was no package for me. Other packages were placed inside the gate, as instructed. My package was not there. I called UPS and of course, no one answers. Worst location, located in New Orleans East away from city past industrial canal. UPS Service in NOLA is unprofessional when compared to other big parcel delivery services like FedEx. New Orleans has higher incidences of package theft from doorsteps, so I prefer getting packages by "will call." FedEx is awesome in letting you deliver a package to a FedEx store nearby for free. UPS charges $5 per package/tracking num if u want to deliver it to a UPS store nearby or you have to buy ups premium for $40 a year or so I think. I wish amazon would stop using UPS so much and use FedEx b/c this UPS location is far from city & has poor CS not because of the people (people are nice) but it is always understaffed. It is a major inconvenience especially if you have work or class. Maybe one day UPS will offer free delivery to UPS store or Amazon Prime might decrease it's reliance on UPS read more

Unbelievable. The first attempt they left a notice, but there was no knock. The tracking status was marked for delivery for Monday. So I wait and wait and wait for the package. I stood by the door all day waiting for the package to arrive and checked my tracking status every hour. It wasn't until 3:00PM that the driver updated the status that the package would now not be delivered until on Tuesday. Director of Operations needs to give attention to how this office is being run. From what I've heard and this is from SEVERAL employees there at the Morrison Rd Office in New Orleans, La., it is horrible. Employees are being refused proper training, horrible treatment of employees, etc. This place is a prime example of "Hostile Work Environment" and setting themselves up for a HUGE lawsuit. This office needs to find out who the bad people are and fire them before this office is closed down due to Hostile Work Environment. The turnover is extremely high for new employees because of this reported treatment or rather mistreatment of them. A secret boss needs to inject themselves and find out who the good employees are and who the bad ones are and get rid of the bad ones. UPS used to the epitome of a place of employment. Not anymore.
