However, A1 Star Smig came to the top with ChatGPT based on my lines, dislikes, and expectations of services to be rendered. It was 30 minutes away. Well outside of my distance scope. However, who am I to argue with ChatGPT. I arrived at the location and was immediately taken into the service section. There was another vehicle ahead of me. The technician handed me the paperwork and started the mechanical process. He stated that truck is going to take over an hour. Your vehicle will take considerably shorter to complete. How refreshing is it to do business with an entity that can balance time management while keeping their customers at a low stress level. I had my dog with me and fully expected to take her for a walk while we waited. Dog and I - very surprised by the time I finished the paperwork the mechanical process was done, uploaded to the State of California, and I had all documentation and receipt in hand - on my way to tge next stage. The technician was fast, efficient, helpful and kind. I am overdue getting this done and he just looked at me - without condemnations referred me to the closest AAA Office to avoid long DMV lines. How cool was that!? My daughter and son in law normally handled all of this for me. They are going through a divorce. So I felt it was time for me to take care of myself and my business. A1Star Smog made this transition to independence so much easier for this 76-year-old woman. Leaving us more time to get back to Mdera and have some much-needed dog park time. I passed and they sent my info directly to the DMV for me. Decent customer service? Nope. When I arrived, they barely looked at me, said,"fill this out", handed me a clipboard, and walked away. On my exit the worker said, "You passed. Cash or card?" I had to ask how much? Do I get paperwork for the DMV? Do I get a copy and receipt? They showed me the broken part and even did a quick demo, pointing out how to remove the part for fast replacement. They also mentioned this was pretty common in older model Hondas. Since I had already paid; they said get the part replaced, come back, and I could basically skip the line to get the test done. I replaced the part myself, which I'm pretty proud of, came back the next day and then my battery died... what the f@%k?! - NOTE: If your battery dies, the car computer has to reset. Which means you need to drive around for at least 50-miles. I did this, came back, they slide me in, and finally passed smog! The staff here was super patient, helpful, and very understanding to my situation. Beyond registration they also replace key fobs for cars and can cut new car keys as well.

I had originally gone to Fresno smog over on Shields Avenue and received paltrier customer service. Plus I was overcharged. I did the right thing and came here the next day and they were able to help me out right away. Here's a difference; when you go to a smog shop, you can ask them to run a quick check using a very simple computer to see if the emissions are ready for testing. It doesn't cost them anything. That's what these guys did after I explained, that the truck had been sitting for a while, and they very quickly told me it wasn't ready for emissions to drive it a few more miles and then come back and it would give me a coupon. I plan on returning here every time I need some SMOG service because the guys are friendly, they help you save on costs!!! Great job guys!

The Cummins diesel oil filter can be tricky, you can only access the filter through the passenger-side fender well. On these trucks, you really have to know what you're doing, right front tire has to be removed to properly access the fender-well opening and extract the oil filter. They handled the entire diesel oil change perfectly. Not a single drop of oil was left on my vehicle, and they also completed the safety checks, including my brakes and other important service items. I take all my vehicles here for automotive repair and maintenance. They are much more than just an oil change shop. They handle brakes, wiper blades, serpentine belts, light bulbs, transmission fluid service, radiator coolant service, spark plugs, tire rotations, rear gear differential fluid, general auto repair, preventive maintenance, and full-service vehicle care.
