Frustrated by this company. I called in February to have the spa fixed, and $1400 later nothing works. I was told it was ice in the pump, and everything would work once the ice melted. Well the ice is melted and nothing works. The new controls that were installed are cheap and the top surface is already peeling apart. I have a service appointment this Wednesday (that I waited FOREVER for), and will update this review if I have a better experience. We had been so perplexed regarding my Spa not working. Every part that was in it was brand new, so we could not figure out the problem. We always buy our spa's from United Spa in Salida, so we broke down and called them in. We were very lucky to have Manuel the Technician come to fix it, but alas after everything that he inspected it still didnt work. He felt so bad that he could not help us, but suggested that we call in an Electrician, as he felt thats all that was left to check out. We took his advice. Lo and behold the electrical was burned out. Once we fixed that the spa started running and all is well. Thank goodness to Manuels expertise we are happy spa campers. I've only had my spa 5 years and it's already needed a new motor, water purifier and motherboard. For as much as these spa's are and selling you on the 10 year warranty I would expect the craftsmanship and product to not need so many repairs in such a short amount of time. It's actually been a couple of years since we got the swim spa but I had not reviewed it. I am being generous but rating is more like 2.75, the install crew made up for the lack of urgency by front office. I had looked around for a while and eventually found this 12 footer that would fit perfectly in the back yard. Paid cash for it and they gave me an install date but unfortunately it was delayed for over two months and this the reason why I ranked three stars should be 2 1/2 to be honest. The swim spa itself is fantastic but it's the lack of urgency and delayed that earned the rating. The delivery guys where great when it finally showed up. The gigantic crane and putting in the back yard became a show for the entire neighborhood it was a bit scary to see this huge spa dangling over the trees and more than 49 feet above our house. Again the guys installing it and the crane operator where really amazing and skillful at their craft. The final product looks awesome and it's big enough to keep cool in the hot Modesto summer, swim some laps, or use it as a jacuzzi. My wife and I have been thinking about getting a spa and doing online research which is really confusing. Saturday after having lunch we headed over to United Spa to take a look at what they had. We entered the office and Jay asked if we had an appointment and we said no. He stated his next appointment wasn't for 2 hours that he would let us come in and take a look. Man what a great experience. So much research we did all out the window, Jay flooded us with so much good information, it was so helpful. He explained everything and then asked us what we wanted not what we should have, that was refreshing. After looking at the different options we decided on the 6 seat with lounge seat. The Havasu with silver housing perfect to match our house color. I added the steel plated cover (safety first with my grandchildren in mind). We also opted for plastic steps instead of custom made wood ones that I would have to make. Thanks Jay for all the information you provided and making us feel at home. Not expecting to hear from United Spa until Monday to schedule. Courtney called on Sunday to schedule. Friday was open but I have to work, so with out issue she asked what day would be better and I said Thursday, no problem. That's pretty awesome, she could have easily said next week.
