The staff are super-friendly and helpful. I always had at least one question for them every time I came in for one of my classes. The instructors were very good, and I got the impression that the lessons are reasonably standardized, so no matter who you have teaching that class you get similar instruction. I took several of the classes twice so I can vouch for that. The level of play here in general is quite high, and I had difficulty finding other beginners to play and practice with. I thought that was a bit ironic given their great Starter series! Ultimately I decided on another club that had better organization for beginner play. Perhaps when I get good enough at the sport I'll revisit my choice and come back to Ace!

The coaches create such a positive environment, not just in terms of being supportive and the act of teaching, but I would argue their even more important work is being positive role models for empathy, frustration tolerance, and working through hard things. They teach kids how to work with people who might believe differently than they do, or who might just rub them the wrong way, and they've built a truly inclusive environment with programs for all ages and abilities. Kids learn to face their fears in a supported way, how to scaffold experiences when they feel nervous, and how to build toward their goals instead of avoiding them. We have not met a coach at Playformance who wasn't amazing. It isn't just one kid, though. My other children love it too. They still offer caregiver and child classes, and when we were able to attend, they were so engaging for both the toddler and the parent, creating a supportive place where parents could find community too. Camps are huge fun, and every birthday party we have attended has been wonderful, regardless of the age range. If you're thinking about joining this community, because that's really what it is, I highly recommend you jump in. You won't regret it.

Then you go outside and it's amazing. Huge pool and lap pool that is not crowded at all. Tennis courts, basketball, golf, grilled and cafe area. DUDES, though, what is up with the eleventy billion unattended children? I'm fairly certain that parents drop their kids off at the games and leave. Near the sponsor area, where the concessions and eegees truck are located, there were several young kids (not teenagers either, I'm talking aged 5-7) with NO parents in sight. I saw no parents drop them off, and no one picked them up by the time I left the game at 10:30. Staff would be wise to keep an eye on this and alert parents this isn't cool.

In March 2026, I received an email from the club stating I was "not allowed on school property." Since the fields they use belong to Vail Unified School District (VUSD), I contacted the district directly for clarification. VUSD's Superintendent responded in writing and confirmed that CoronaRita Soccer Club has no authority to restrict anyone's access to district property, and that only the district can make those decisions. The district also confirmed the club's email was not issued or authorized by VUSD. This directly contradicted what the club told me. The club never received any court documents and acted entirely on hearsay from another parent, not on any official information. When I asked for my daughter's soccer schedule, the owner's tone and behavior toward me were, in my experience, threatening, hostile, and unprofessional. Shortly afterward, the club removed my entire household from the program. The timing made the removal appear retaliatory. The owner later sent me a message stating that I was removed due to "threats of legal action, use of inappropriate language, and refusal to respect club policies regarding registration and non‑involvement in civil matters." This message was sent immediately after I asked for my daughter's schedule. None of these claims were supported with any evidence, and the club never received any court documents. The only place these statements appear is in my ex‑wife's family‑court filings, which shows the club acted entirely on hearsay while claiming they "do not get involved in civil matters." Their BBB response included broad accusations but no evidence, no dates, no quotes, and no documentation. In contrast, I have written confirmation from VUSD showing the club misrepresented its authority. I also checked the Arizona Corporation Commission and found that the club has been delinquent for nearly three years, meaning they have not maintained required filings. Many youth sports insurance policies and field‑use agreements require organizations to be in good standing with the state. Operating while delinquent raises real concerns about insurance validity and liability exposure for parents, players, and the district. Based on my experience, the organization lacked transparency, acted without district authority, and did not follow consistent or professional procedures. I'm sharing these documented facts so other families can make informed decisions.

The stadium seating faces east so a hat or umbrella for morning and afternoon events might be necessary. By Evening you will be shaded by the stands. Parking is limited so be sure to get to your event early. More often than not you are going to have to part in the neighborhoods nearby and walk to the stadium. My favorite summer time events here are the Tucson Parks and Rec Track meets on Tuesdays. These meets are for all ages and all skill levels. I love the 5 and under races - the little ones running around are SO cute!!
