But that doesn't stop them to give a great service and this environment make it easier for us customers to wait and process our shipments. Never ever again. I sent a highly perishable package, at extremely high rate ($214) 3 day shipping.. it sat for two days before being shipped out. Received notification package arrived 6 days later too damaged to accept by ups. Ups policy dictates shipping ruined package back to me. Horrible business practices..This is why businesses shut down. I had an IPhone delivered to our house which never came. However, UPS reported it as delivered. I called UPS three times the day it was allegedly delivered - each time being promised a call back. They said once they contact the driver they would call us back - I never received a call back. No one really seemed to care what happened to our mail - so thanks for being useless UPS. No one will respond to this either I'm sure, nor did they respond to any of the emails. Furthermore, we had to buy a new iPhone because no one has ever called us back. We live in a world where huge corporations have total shit heads working for them and no one is held accountable. read more

The employees at this store are less friendly than post office employees. The employees speak to you as if they wish you weren't there and don't want your business. On one occasion they told me the price for stamps and then when paying they raised the price on the stamps and refused to honor the price I was told 1 minute earlier. Huh? read more

Absolutely the worst! I had received a package shipped UPS the day before with a replacement item and I was given a return shipping label. So I took the new item from the box removed the old shipping label put the return item in the box and affixed the new shipping label and proceeded to the friendly neighborhood UPS only to be told by the manager that the box had a hazardous material label printed on it and it could not be shipped. I explained that nothing in the box was hazardous and it was shipped to me by UPS the day before with a replacement camera and I was simply returning the defective camera in the same box. He said they could not and would not ship it with that insignia on the box. Well because I live at the lake about 25 miles away I decided to purchase black tape and reinforce he box as well as covering the insignia so there would no longer be any confusion about what was being shipped. So I went back in as soon as he saw the box he said nope that looks like the same box so we cannot ship it or they would be breaking the law. I explained that a person shipping an item must declare that its contents were not hazardous and what previous printing might have been on the box was no longer visible and i went so far as to remind him this was a camera nothing more nothing less, to no avail he told me I had to leave the store or they would call the police. So I left the store and the first UPS Truck I came across happily and professionally took my package, I even told him what had transpired and he said if he were picking it up and a person did just as I did the hazardous warning would no longer be an issue as it was not visible or declared. This manager has apparently never managed anything in his life or he would have tried to make this a win, win for all concerned. I have used this store numerous times over the past few years, no more of my money will they receive. There is a very nice FedEx store a couple miles away and if its going UPS there are drop off locations everywhere and every UPS driver can take your package too! read more

I just moved from VA. Before that I lived in NC. Every UPS store I have visited has used technology and boxed my items after I departed. If you are in a hurry do not come to this store. They have 4 people waiting at the door for you to fill out paperwork. They go to the back and box your items before you are at the register to discuss prices. You sign two documents after you are finally at the register. Filling out paperwork when you first walk in is such a waste of my time. This is a way to keep people employed and waste customers time. Will find another place to visit. read more

Nothing special - have stopped here many times to drop off pre-paid postage items. Always crowded, though.

I paid extra to have a package shipped to this location to prevent it from being stolen since I wouldn't be home during delivery. I was notified through UPS that it was delivered and signed for by the manager. Upon arrival I was told there was no package there for me and even though I saw it sitting on the shelf the manager refused to even turn around and acknowledge the package sitting there. Customer service verified with the delivery driver that it was indeed delivered and signed for by the manager so I went back and my package had been removed from the shelf. I was told the same thing, "no packages were delivered there for me." by the manager that in fact signed for it. All I know to do is file a police report for stolen goods and hope the company I ordered from reimburses me. read more

This place was super packed with people sending things for the holidays, and I'm just here to return a Comcast cable box. As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted by a very friendly associate named Mathew I believe, and even though he was busy with other customers he helped me out immediately. Then another store associate woman instantly came to me to show me how to fill out paperwork and as soon as I was done I was walked to the sales counter to get my items returned with Dan. I have never, EVER received customer service like this in Augusta. I live 35 minutes away from this location and I will gladly come all the way out here instead of going to a closer shipping service store just because I was blown away by how awesome these people were. They are right back where they started. The employees are lazy, rude, and devoid of personality. Gave a review after a turn around in the service of this place, should have waited. Ordered face masks for my family from California. These jack asses refused the package from UPS and it is now being returned without at least contacting me. The manager of this place is a clown and the owner, I will refrain. This is not the place to do business. Again I implore UPS to shut this store down. I personally will ask all businesses I order from to send thru FedEx, at least they keep the parcels at the drop-off point. read more

This UPS Store is located off Columbia Road in the same plaza as Kroger. They offer shipping services as well as printing, mailboxes, notary and they also sell some packing and stationery items. The employees are generally efficient and will usually get you in and out especially if you're just dropping off something. Overall, a good UPS Store location but it is not quite special. read more

This place is the worst. I had a properly labeled Amazon return in its original box that had been sent to me UPS and they just flat out wouldn't take it. I called this location and spoke with Adam. I told him I had a tv to send back to Best Buy that had a pre-paid label on it ready to go. Normally, I would walk into the store and leave it, but I am staying with my in-laws who are in their 70's and do not want to take the chance of contracting Covid-19 and then giving it to them. I told Adam this and asked if he could come to the door and take it from me if I called when I arrived. He told me there was a line out the door. That's it. He could not do it because there was a line out the door. He could not walk 10 feet to his door, take a 10-12 pound box and slide it to the location I would have left it had there not been a pandemic. 30 seconds of his day to do the simplest of tasks for a legitimate reason, and I would have left a five-star rating. read more

I went to this UPS store to have a power of attorney notarized. The Notary told me that UPS did not allow her to notarize a financial POA - I'm sure that the notary and UPS do not understand what GA law gives a Notary the power and duty to perform. I don't need my notary to read or understand the document, just witness my signature, nothing more. Lesson learned. There are many other options. read more

I've used their copy and fax service and the guy there helped me get the most economical way to do what I needed. I mainly use it for dropping off Amazon packages and the people there have been very informative on pick up times and always quickly give me a nice full page receipt with tracking numbers for each package clearly printed on the receipt and scan them in as received. I've had nothing but good experiences here. read more

Went in to get something motorized and was refused. Both parties were present with proper identification. It was a legal document. The person who refused to motorize the document accused me of trying to do something illegal which was NOT the case. So rude and disrespectful and loud enough that the other customers heard her and started looking at me as if I was a criminal. On my way out I heard her justification for treating me in such a despicable manner: "she was trying to do something illegal and I was not going to be a part of it." Since when is it the concern of the notary what is in a document and both parties are in agreement? How dare she put my personal business out there for everyone to hear and demean and embarrass me!!! read more

Every time I've come here the service is always fast and friendly! I'm usually not in there but 1 maybe 2 minutes because the store clerk will help me out right away, get me what I need and get me out! Which is nice! They have other services here besides shipping as well, you can scan, fax, copy, print, all that. I think UPS stores are usually better serviced than fedex stores but it all depends. The prices will vary too. I prefer UPS though :). read more

First, I needed to drop off an item to be sent quickly. Although the item was small, the package I was given was like 5 times larger than was necessary. So UPS apparently isn't able to send small items in an efficient way, meaning I was mainly paying for unneeded packaging. This is a minor issue, but the first of many. Second, I wasn't sure of the ZIP code for my destination. The lady helping me simply stood there with nothing to say when I asked for help, apparently, because UPS isn't capable of determining ZIP codes. So, I pulled out my phone and did it for her, since apparently she couldn't be bothered to even make that effort. The store was not busy, she just couldn't be bothered to facilitate anything. Third, I needed to change the return address on that shipment because, after leaving, I realized she had incorrectly entered the name of my road, even though the road she entered does not exist in my city. I suppose UPS didn't figure it was worth auto-detecting that the return address is valid, even though I can do it myself on my phone in seconds. Forth, the next lady who assisted me in changing the return address simply walked away from me with the receipt I provided without saying to follow, so I thought she was handling it and, having explained their error, I turned to leave. Instead of being polite and asking me to follow her to a station, she explained in a condescending tone that I needed to be there for her to create a new tracking code. Obviously, had I know all the intricacies of being a UPS employee, I would have known to followed. Obviously, if she had been the least bit polite, like in pretty much any other store, she would have simply told me. Fifth, the fact that a new tracking code must be generated due to one value needing to change is ridiculous. Obviously the return address should have been loaded in a database table where the tracking code should have been a unique identifier of the shipment, allow any associated data to be altered as needed. This is why I started to walk away originally; both because she said nothing else and walked away from me first, and because she already had all the information needed to fix the issue. . . . Although I think UPS could manage their data better, the vast majority of my newfound disdain for UPS is the result of staff who obviously don't take pride in their work and obviously see customers as an inconvenience. It was clear I was not happy with her tone, and I made it clear that I had no way to know what their procedures were, which is why I did not know to follow her. She made no effort to apologize, just stood there. It was her job to act as a guide, since she had more information about UPS processes being a UPS working; instead, she was impatient and condescending. The store was not busy, so there was absolutely no valid excuse for her terse manner. I'm sure they've done this to others, unfortunately most people just shrug it off, because it could have been worse, or because they don't use UPS much, or because they'd rather ignore it than let it ruin their day. I am not those people. Those employees just disrespected the wrong person and have cost UPS all the money I would have spent over the next several decades of my life, how ever long that will be. No doubt others will see this review and think twice about the Columbia road location specifically and UPS in general. Before today, I wasn't sure whether UPS or FedEX was the way to go; now, it is FedEX or USPS all the way. If a UPS manager ever reads this, particularly the one for UPS on Columbia Road, you need to take a long look at the people you're trusting to run your store. This is by far one of the worst UPS store establishments I have visited. The employees are basic at best. This UPS store charge a fee (minimum 3 dollars) for using any credit card. I remember dropping off a package eight months ago, and the top of the box was not taped. The store associate politely stated I could purchase a roll of tape if I wanted them to tape it. What!!! I walked down to Kroger's bought some tape. Take your business to other stores. Whoever owns this store has bad business practices. I will drive out to Fort Gordon and use that UPS store to ship any future packages. read more

Rip-off artists, don't believe me, go look at their google reviews, almost every review regarding shipping is a bad review. They have a scant few good reviews where making copies and lower cost services are concerned. Added 'void fill material' to a box of t-shirts I needed to ship which DOUBLED my shipping cost. T-shirts...with shipping peanuts packed in is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of. Then after I left a negative review on their facebook page, the SAME EMPLOYEE (name is Alex) that packed my box with the fill material and jacked my price up had the audacity to leave a 'laugh face' emoji on my review!!! read more

Horrible customer service!!. Employees always act like their doing you a favor. Print services are particularly bad!!

I've been to this location 4 times. First time, the guy put his thumb in the scale and tried to tell me my package might not deliver because my preprinted label was a half ounce off and I should buy a new label. Called UPS 1-800 and was told it was fine and would ship. Second time, I was told that if I didn't pay for a different type of tape, it might not ship. I'd been using the same tape with UPS for 20 yrs and told him to check it in and forget it. Third time, I had to open one flap on the box to insert my packing slip. I had my own tape to re-tape the flap. I was told that I would have to go back to my car to install the new piece of tape. The store was empty and it was raining cats and dogs. I ignored him, taped, and told him to check in my package. Fourth time, in a pinch, I came in only to buy a box. I found one on the shelf that would do, and asked the price. Rather than answering, I was subjected to an interrogation intended to up-sell me on a larger than necessary box, additional packing materials, upgraded "fragile" shipping rates, etc. My experienced intention had been to simply buy a box, take it home, use my own sufficient materials to cushion, affix my preprinted label on the box, and drop it off with them. I was told that he would remember me as the guy who wouldn't do it like he insisted and he said he would not receive the package when I returned unless paid the higher rate and packed it according to his instructions. I've been selling the merchandise I was shipping for years, and know how to pack and what UPS and USPS guidelines are, so I dropped my package elsewhere and it arrived safely without delays or any issues at all. These package nazis act worse than commissioned salesmen. I don't know if they get bonused for upselling materials and extra services, but they either make up or stretch UPS & USPS rules to scare less savvy customers into buying unnecessary extras, and don't mind running you off if you know better and have a pre-printed label. Never do business with them, especially if you aren't knowledgeable about shipping, because they'll try to soak you for 3 or 4 times what it should cost. I knew better, because I ship a lot.
