He must have been tired because he threw all my packages to my door. Apparently he couldn't be bothered to walk the extra 3-4 feet, lean forward, and place them on my porch. Most irritating was my third package, that he literally THREW from the sidewalk, despite the fact that it had large red "fragile" stickers on literally every side of the box. Really pissed me off. I understand being tired. It was almost 8pm, he probably had a long day. But how about some common courtesy? How about next time just put it off until the next day? What would he have to say if he watched this happen to one of his packages? I bet he'd feel some type of way. It's all on video too. The next day I went to three locations to make a complaint. When I got to the third location (Wabash), which was the correct location to make the complaint, the supervisor couldn't be bothered to walk out and speak with me at the counter. Instead she had the employee give me a sticky note with her email address. After my third email to her, I finally got a half-a$$ response. Smh. Tried to post video for you guys (it's really something to see), but yelp doesn't allow video. So here is a screenshot of him throwing my FRAGILE package. Damn shame, huh? Made a formal complaint with USPS, but never heard back about that.

The postal carriers from this branch are absolutely stellar, but the actual workers in the office, and the post office itself, give the USPS a bad reputation. No one here ever seems to operate under any sense of urgency or impetus, slowly stomping around with heavy and exasperated size punctuating they're already monotone interactions. Long lines because they are understaffed and underpieced and refuse to get an automated postal system IN the building. Lack of mass wearing a mass protocols through the pandemic shows they're much better at curing disease like plague rats than actual mail.

She is so kind, knowledgeable, and endlessly patient with students (sending snail mail is this campus' most arcane field). I have never once detected a note of irritation in her voice. She answers any all questions clearly. And she makes sure that the office is running without chaos. I'm contemplating sending needless mail because she always brightens my day. I always wonder about her friends and family because they are some lucky folk to have her in their lives. Definitely go here over the post office on Green. I had not seen a bike rack and can't afford to have my bike stolen, that's why I kept it with me. I asked her if there was a place to secure my bike, she said no. There was zero issue with me having my bike, it wasn't dirtying the floor or hitting anything or anyone, it's also pretty small. I was denied services for having a bike which seems pretty ridiculous when there's no place to secure it outside. Feels classist. Based on the reviews you guys can't afford to turn away customers, especially over someone's perceived class status.

Every time I've ordered something from overseas and comes through Bloomington Illinois Postal Service and this is the second order that I've made and it just sits there it's been sitting there since 18 July I don't believe they even try to ship it out. I believe they're keeping the goods for themselves and saying it's lost they can't find it that's what I believe. This is the second time it's happened and then I have to request a refund from the seller. I'm not sure what the problem can be. I do inform delivery there is a tracking number for the United States postal service and every time I check, it's just still sitting in Bloomington Illinois 60108 area. This is ridiculous. I see why the offices in Bloomington Illinois get a poor ratings only a few reviews. Mail a letter from your address in Urbana to your neighbor down the street...your letter comes here first for sorting. This location is also the only one in the area with a self-serve shipping kiosk, which can do the work of about four USPS employees.

There must be something in their union agreement about only being allowed to help 6 customers an hour. No urgency whatsoever. Today, I ventured to the post office in Savoy. Despite living in Champaign this location is closest to our new home. Walked in and there were only a couple of people in line. No biggy, as this gave me time to look at their greeting cards. They were helped as quickly as possible. Yay! I was just there to check-in a package that I already had postage on, so my transaction was easy peasy. Will most definitely be back; maybe just for greeting cards. They had a lot of fun ones.
