Along with "We encourage the residents and business owners of Rockford, IL to also do their part by using The Postal Shoppe as their recycling center.", along with a listing if items they recycle to include toner cartridges. However, when I arrived at The Postal Shoppe, I found the team anything but friendly. At first, I was told no, they do not do any recycling. When I asked about the website, the staff told me it was "not our problem", and "we don't care", and "we are not responsible for the website". When I pressed them on the information posted on the website, they said it was probably the old owners. So, I asked when the owners changed. They said it was 5 years ago, but again they didn't care and are not responsible. This review is for the attitude of employees at The Postal Shoppe. Instead of "I'm sorry we no longer offer that service. I'll let the owner know to update the website"; it was "not our problem", and "we don't care". To the owners of The Postal Shoppe, if you no longer offer a service that listed on your website, then you should update it. Apparently, it's been at least 5 years since this service was offered. The Roscoe Post Office is a local fixture. If you have any choice, this is the Post Office to come…read moreto. Everyone is helpful and goes out of their way to get you the service that you need in the best way possible. Staff are always friendly, even if the lines are long, like around Christmas. If issues arise with unusual services, they will track them down and pursue resolution. They make themselves accountable, which doesn't happen anymore. The staff will even remember you, a nice, small town touch. But -- much of what is done in this Post Office is done exceptionally well. Staff go above their duties and job descriptions to provide superlative service that feels personal. Much appreciated. Thank you.

I've started asking the companies I'm supposed to get mail from to send information electronically. The PO delivers junk mail like clockwork, the important stuff gets lost or never arrives. I can't believe they're getting paid for doing nothing. It's not even possible to go online and report missing mail. Going into the post office on Oakton is a waste of time. The people there prefer to talk among themselves and ignore the people standing in line. When is this going to change??

Terrible just terrible!! Five days before Christmas of last year (2022) I sent out three packages…read morefrom my neighborhood Post Office they all came here. I paid for two day shipping. They were suppose to get to their locations which was Medford, Wi, Saint Hedwig, TX and Garland TX on Thursday and Friday. Both packages to Medford, WI and Garland TX got to their destinations on time! The package going to Saint Hedwig, TX did NOT! I just assumed everyone got their package until 7 days later I get a call from the recipient saying that it was still sitting at Elk Grove! It sat in limbo for 10 darn days! That's really ludicrously bootleg! What is going on at Elk Grove!?! She called and I called the USPS hotline and filed a claim. Then mysteriously it moved! She finally received her package on January 2nd of 2023!!! The package was smashed and had holes in it. It also had been taped in one of the areas. Her Rum Cakes were hard as rocks and the homemade Ghirardelli Turtles which I sent in a small cooler with dry ice was melted. I don't know who the managers and supervisors are at the Elk Grove USPS distribution center but you guys are failing to do your job horribly!!
